i have no idea really.... he's asking me though to visit the embassy to inquire.

all we know is that my husband's job is in demand in Canada.

we have friends working their already, that's why naeengganyo kami.

but we don't have direct relatives who could petition us there, kaya based sa work ang migration churva. 

hahahah, sorry ha, i don't know anything yet.

Ang alam ko kasi, may mga nomination programs ang Canada pero depende sa province. May mga province na pwedeng mag sponsor ang kaibigan, others - relatives lang. Apply na lang sya online siguro for work. Para yung company ang tumulong sa kanya para makapag work dun. Visit their website na lang kasi ang alam ko hindi sila nage-entertain ng walk-in sa embassy.

i submitted an application for permanent resident in nov 2007 and received the acknowledgment letter in may 2008.
just yesterday, i received a letter from the govt of alberta telling me to register at their website to get a "welcome to alberta" kit. i don't really know what to make of it. anyway, i registered and the site said to expect the kit in 8-10 weeks.

we were thinking kasi kung gamitin yung savings namin pang downpayment sa house or pang-process ng application to migrate...

ayos sa alright kasi ang benefits for the kids abroad e..

Hi to all. My parents have a pending permanent residency application (Federal skilled worker). They filled it around June of 2006. Hopefully at the end of this year or early next year the embassy will ask for additional docs na.

Naabutan ng parents ko [textspeak!] 5 year processing ng application for residency. But now, if your job is in demand it takes a year or even less than a year for the whole entire process to be done. I know some friends that have applied last year and are now living there.

Madali lang, pero since you are applying for residency, it's pretty obvious that you need to provide funds that you can live there. The CIC site states how much per member ang dapat meron kang allotted na funds.

However, if you are going to work there, and you have an employer, two things could happen. You could either be petitioned by your employer (provincial nominee) or you can apply on your own (federal skilled worker). Take note that in order to apply on your own thru the federal skilled worker class, your profession has to be in demand.

Working visas take longer but at least you don't need show money. Most likely, the employer will fulfill that part (the show money).

If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.

***My parents are Canadian wannabes and are really looking forward to living there. Unfortunately, (i think) I too have been persuaded to migrate there, so I have a lot of knowledge with regards to these things.

^Depende sa requirements ng province yung tagal ng application. Luckily, for those who were victims of Ondoy, their applications were prioritized kaya ang bilis naka-alis ng iba...akala ko chismis lang yun...pero it was indeed true!

^ oo nga, the ondoy incident was a blessing for those that had pending applications. Some that I knew only needed to provide pictures of their houses ruined or flooded. Then ayun, expedited na application nila.

My husband has 2 aunts and an uncle in Alberta. We were asking help from them para makapag fill kami ng provincial nominee thru family stream. Kaso my hubby's father told them not to help us. Very sad. Hindi kasi in good terms ang hubby ko at ang father niya. Bahala na si Lord sa tatay ng asawa ko. hehe.

question lang po... yun sister in law ko is a canadian citizen pede ba na petition nya or sponsor nya yun husband ko na kapatid nya? and pede na family status and pag sponsor o kailangan ba na mauna muna husband ko tapos ang husband ko ang mag petition sa amin. naguguluhan kasi ako eh..if yes mga ilang years ang processing nun?

hi mga sis! plan din kmi ni hubby magmigrate. ask ko lang kung diabetic husband may chance pa ba to migrate or malabo? asking lang para di na magsayang ng oras sa pag apply kung di naman pala pwede. thanks!

^if it means family sponsorship (not provincial nomination or any other form of sponsorship), no, your SIL cannot. She can only sponsor a family member who is a minor (18yrs below).

magtatanong lang ako, kasi yung sister and Aunt ko naka apply sila for Canada via recruitment agency..kaso ang tagal na almost 1 year na..lagi na ppostpone..natatakot kami baka na fake sila..hindi nila hawak [textspeak!] sinasabi nilang ticket and yung documents nila..nasa CONSUL daw??is that possible?thanks for your kind replies sisses!!
