^Wow Sis Ysang, congrats!  Tuloy na tuloy na kayo!  Sana kami rin...

Oo nga good news talaga, kailangan kami mag land within on year from the time na mag pa medical ka, so definitely next year mag la land na kami, yung passport nga pala sa london pa pala dadalhin, and it will take a month to return it back with visa stamp. Sis Lai, continue to update me with your status, malapit na rin yung sa inyo dont worry!

@allredndizzy- sa ontario yung kami [textspeak!] pupunta, pero try ko rin mag apply online, kung san meron mas magandang work opportunity dun kami. :)

Good news also on our part. After seeing Nationwide's cardiologist (over the supposed "findings" in the ECG test), our primary applicant has been cleared. Our medicals (including the positive recommendation by the doctor) will be sent to the embassy within the next couple of weeks. Thank God! :) What's next after this stage...ideally the PPR? Usually, how long does it take from the time the medical results are sent? Thanks.

P.S. Congrats to those who recently got their PPRs or visas! :)

Just a query:

We are a family of 5, thereby making our required POF/SF $22,831 (in CAD). In our Personal Net Worth Statement that we submitted as part of the application, our total estimated net worth was around $182,000 (equivalent in CAD). However, the majority of that amount is in the form of insurance, properties/land, some investments, etc.

As for cold, hard cash in the bank itself, we don't exactly have $22,831. Also, according to the COEs (Certificate of Employment) that we sent, the net income of the principal applicant's spouse is almost equivalent to $22,831/year.

All that said, as far as financial requirements go, how are we doing...do we make the cut? We discussed this with our representative in the past and they did not give us negative feedback or discourage our application based on financial requirements. So far, the embassy has not asked for any additional or updated documents (i.e. updated Personal Net Worth statement).

The only thing that they have sent us was the Request for Medicals. In the same letter, they also requested for the RPRF, both of which we've accomplished recently (medical examination & payment of the RPRF). Along with that, they also sent our "invite" for the CIIP.

Is there any realistic chance that we will be (touch wood!) denied due to monetary reasons...? Thanks.

^Ang alam ko cash dapat yung POF/SF nyo kase yun ang gagamitin nyo pag-land nyo dito sa canada since wala pa kayong work. Yun ang estimate nila na kahit 6 months kayong walang work eh mabubuhay kayo dito. :)

^ Just to clarify, how come it mentions other assets (specifically property) in this document for the CIC Manila office:

"11. SETTLEMENT FUNDS
Refer to the "Proof of Funds" section of our Web site for exact figures and
instructions.
Provide proof of unencumbered and readily transferable funds in a convertible
currency available for settlement in Canada (for you and your family members):

• current bank certification letter; or
• evidence of savings balance; or
• fixed or time deposit statements.

For all bank accounts held in your name, you must submit bank statements which
show your present account balance and records of entries over the past year. For
assets such as a house, apartment, automobile or land owned by you (and/or your
spouse or common-law partner, if applicable) submit proof of ownership and an
official statement of valuation.

PERSONAL NET WORTH STATEMENT
Complete the net worth form at the end of this appendix. All assets and liabilities,
whether located in your country of residence or elsewhere, should be identified.
However, do not include personal items such as jewellery, furniture, etc. All assets
listed must be your own personal holdings and must be documented. The sources
of any funds or assets in your possession for less than one year should be
identified. If you need more space than provided, attach a separate page."

( Link to the file: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E37025.pdf )

Does this entail that property does count? Has anyone here gotten a PPR/visa even if their cash itself (not counting anything else and not borrowed/loaned cash either) did not meet the minimum funds requirement (but had other assets to "level it out")? If not, has anyone heard of such cases? Thanks again and God bless. :)

I guess it's okay as long as your other assets are considered unencumbered and readily transferable funds. :) Ito lang kase yung pinagbasihan namin dati: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp
walang nakalagay dyan na pwede yung ibang assets pero since same website naman natin nakuha, wala naman sigurong problema.

Question po para sa mga taga UAE :

Kagagaling ko lang sa isang employment agency dito sa UAE, ask ko lang if reliable ba talaga yung company na yun,hehe..

Dubai International Management Consultancy in Sharjah po.

They say 6-10months lang processing.

^sis yan na ang bagong rule, 1 year nalang ang processing. ang di ko lang sure kung reliable ang agency mo. sa dubai kasi yung amin.

we submitted the required docs na, wait another 2-3 months for medical after that another 2-3 months again for visa notice. i hope and pray na maging OK ang lahat at wala ng hingin pa na additional supporting documents.

goodluck to all of us!

^^There is TFC & GMA TV in Canada (Toronto atleast alam ko meron). You can get subscription sa cable companies, or sa mga Filipino stores. GMA is less than $20 yata, TFC has a slightly higher monthly fee.

^Although the economy improved slightly, hindi pa rin totally naalis ang recession for the entire county.

I have a very important question and I hope someone would answer.. We are finishing all the requirements needed for our permanent resident visa application and of course kailangan ng NBI Clearance, I got mine from an NBI satellite office and what I wrote on the purpose is Immigration Requirement, my siblings got their NBI clearances from Manila and theirs say Visa for Canada. Is it the same with what I have (Immigration Requirement)? or dapat Visa for Canada ang nakalagay? Thanks. :)
