yup meron din sa AB. part ng curriculum 2sems of spanish...kakaloka...tanda ko lang ata eh "que ora es?" or "mi no habla espaÃ±ol, poqueto esÃ±anol."

^ hindi yan! kung sosoli ko naman yung libro pati kung mag eenrol ako di ba? hehe kita rin para sa kanila yun wahehe. buti nga libro lang yun, hindi mga DVD's hehe dami kaya classics dun na pwedeng hiramin.

"que ora es?" sign na gusto mo na matapos yung klase nagtatanong na ng oras

pero yung good friend ko na nasa heaven na ngayon si kuya jim abrenica.champion yun dati sa isang competition sa spanish speaking sa uste.

If you have funds I think the best way to learn is in Espana itself. They teach Castellano at Instituto which would be different from Galician, Catalan and such. One of our sisters here is right, it would depend on the country like Portuges Brazil is different from portuges in Portugal

^^ Actually, Instituto Cervantes offers Catalan, Basque and Galician Courses.

But yes I agree that the best way to learn to speak a foreign language (especially expressions characteristic of each region) is through immersion. However, it is interesting to take note that people who are already there go back and study at Instituto Cervantes pa rin to learn the structure of the language so I think it is highly recommended to have a know-how of the basics and structure of the language first before "immersion" for practice. It all boils down to theory then/and application.

Anyone who had DELE Inicial before? Any reviewers por favor . . .

^ sis you can "immerse" yourself by listening to spanish instructions tapes and buy a good dictionary for spanish-english translation

then go and enroll to a school like instituto cervantes where in they will give you all the things you need to learn the language

gusto ko din matuto ng spanish and other foreign language... pwede ka ba matuto fluently kahit hindi ka nakaenroll sa mga language schools? wala kase dito sa malapit and since for personal growth lang naman, i don't want to exert that much effort para magtravel pa.

^^ DLSU students go to Instituto to learn. They have trips to Spain that are partly subsidized by the Spanish government.
