im planning to apply as an accountant at sm([textspeak!] retail po) my nakakaalam po ba ng salary range. provincial rate po [textspeak!] [textspeak!] bacolod.... ok po ba yung compensation package??? tnx in advance

my difference ba yung rate kung nasa mall operations ka or retail???

ang alam ko po kung san location ng work mo dun mo din kukunin yung mga yan..
baka sis sa SM within Manila ka ma-a-assign kaya sinabeng sa Manila mo kukunin.

ganyan kase yung friend ko, sa Marikina siya nakatira.
eh yung work location eh sa SM Masinag, part ng Antipolo so dun siya pinakuha ng
requirements..

Hi everyone! I applied as Treasury Assistant kahit malayo sa course ko, BS-Tourism. Nagtry lang ako kasi I really wanted to work in SM, dahil malapit lang dito sa amin. Instead of working in Manila, naisip ko mukhang ok naman ang working environment. I never expected anything kasi nga try lang then they send me an email through Jobstreet, invitation for interview. I had 2 interviews. First was very simple questions based sa pinafill up na form and resume then the hr staff offered me the Customer Service Staff position and even asked me to try the Telephone Operator spiels. Then sabi ko ok lang yung CS post then 2nd interview ko on the same day. Mas thorough and halatang she wanted to make sure I'll be staying long sa company. Then after nun, sabi nung first na naginterview they will text me for the next interview. after a week I got it and tomorrow na yung interview ko.

Binasa ko lahat ng posts nyo...very informative and thank you very much!

@naruto23 Hindi pa nila ko pinageexam. yung interview ko with HR manager, supposed to be today, ni-reschedule nila for Thursday... According to past posts here, matagal yung processing.... it will take weeks minsan a month pa... are you done sa interview with HR manager?

I read all the post here. it's very informative. how 'bout the others that were applying for customer service manager (for sm dept. store), naka-in na ba kayo?

any idea how much the starting is? i was asked but i really didn't have any idea so, i just indicated that it's negotiable for me.

i'm on the final interview, just having trouble setting up a sched with the avp.

is this the same sa CSR Manager? Kasi di ko alam kung ano yung R dyan pero Customer Service nga yung CS. My dad works as Regional CSR Manager sa SM sa Pasig Area (Megamall, Podium and SM Hypermarket) ang alam ko ang unang offer sa kanya is 50k nung June 2009 pero im sure nagincrease na yun dahil more than a year na sa dun. sobrang daming incentives at ang Christmas bonus palaki ng palaki as years passed.

Wow may ganitong thread pala dito! napaka helpful. Nagaapply din kasi ako sa IT department ng SM. I had two interviews already and they want me to accomplish the requirements first bago yung job offer. Tapos sabi pa nila bago ko daw ipasa yung mga requirements, hintayin ko daw muna yung tawag ng HR. Nakakainip nga, kasi nakompleto ko na lahat ng necessary documents and I'm still waiting for their call.. Ganito ba talaga sa SM? Requirements muna bago job offer? Paki enlighten naman ako hehe

Hello everyone. I have questions regarding the pre-employment requirements at SM. Actually, I will be starting soon as an HR assistant at the head office and I was wondering about where to secure the following:

(1) cedula
(2) mayor's work permit
(3) health permit
(4) police clearance

I am confused right now because the HR assistant told me that I could secure all of this at the manila city hall, but someone told me that i should get the cedula and police clearance from gov't offices where i live.

yung cedula, health permit, and yung mayor's work permit can be obtained in your respective city hall. Tapos yung police clearance, I was able to get it at the police headquarters along United Nations Avenue hehe. nakalimutan ko na nga lang kung anong street na perpendicular sa UN ave. Pero malapit lang yon sa LRT UN ave Station.

hi..medyo nakakainip na nga ang waiting time for the requirements sa SM. bakit kaya ganon..yung ibang ka batch ko eh natawagan na for medical..wala pa yung sa akin..sabi naman ng HR nira route pa ang papers ko and inaayos ang training schedules namin this january.

Same situation here. Ako naman two weeks nang naghihintay para maipasa ko na yung mga requirements. Matagal yata talaga ang waiting time dito. Ikaw Tricia ilang weeks ka naghintay?

Thanks sa mga reply mga sis. wala kasi ako mapagtanungan eh. I applied here and was considered for the customer service supervisor position. Wala pa actually job offer kasi i cocomplete ko pa yung pre employment requirements. Bakit pala nauna yon kesa job offer? doh nung final interview ko and the manager saw my COE, sabi nya they can only provide half of what I earn(currently employed kasi ako)  but I resigned last week lang to make way sana for SM. ngayon parang nagdadalawang isip ako that I gave up my job easily (doh talagang stress na ako don) tapos nabasa ko pa dito na hindi extendable ang health card plus I wont have the weekends off which I enjoyed the most. I dont wanna look back na talaga para mabigyan ko rin chance SM pero I'm kinda disheartened sa mga nababasa ko if worth it ang desisyon na ginawa ko.

Ano kaya range ng pay for supervisor dito for them to say na half lang maioffer nila? and can I still bargain for it? Ano naman ang maganda sa pagtatrabaho sa SM which I can boast off? paano mga bonuses?thanks

Hi ate Hestia how long did you wait naman para dun sa Job offer? Kasi ganyan din yung sitwasyon ko ngayon eh... I am applying for the IT trainee position. Three weeks nang nakalipas at wala pa kong natatanggap na tawag for the Job offer at nakompleto ko na rin lahat ng mga requirements. Nagstop ako sa mga iba kong applications to make way for SM pero nagdadalawang isip na ko ngayon kasi di ko alam kung may balak pa silang tumawag sakin.

Nagulat ako sa thread na to, meron palang ganito? lol. First real job ko is sa SM. And yes, medyo matagal ang processing. Sa pagka alam ko sa time namin kasi, all final approval for job offers will go through pa sa AVP. Since I applied in a provincial branch and the AVP is based in Manila plus she handles several provincial branches pa, busy busyhan talaga siya. So it's not as easy as when your Branch Manager/s (or ABM) decide they want to hire you, ma hire ka kaagad. Plus, as what naruto23 said, they do background checks pa. However, meron pa rin nakaka lusot sa background check na yan hehe..  Anyhow, that was just my experience before, not sure if it's the same now.
