hi Empress! done with my medical. ill just have to wait for the call. hindi naman intense and medical. parang interview lang of your past medications/illness. super simple lang.

Sis meyer: I'm done with my medical na rin, will be back on Thursday for the physical exam. Tapos ka na rin ba dito? Sana tuluy-tuloy na. Sabi nung hr, orientation na ang sunod then ojt before the job itself sa mismong assigned mall.

^ sa may amin na rin ako nagpa-medical kasi nasa 2nd floor ng hospital building yung satellite office nila. nagpunta ako yesterday for the list of requirements, since nasa hospital na rin naman ako, nagpa-medical na ako para isang puntahan na lang. bukas (Thursday) babalik ako sa office for the physical examination with the company nurse & to submit partial requirements. di ko muna isa-submit lahat, tsaka na pag pirmahan na ng contract. nasa Manila pa daw papers ko tapos by October na daw ang bukas ng SM samin. feeling ko medyo matatagalan uli, medyo lang naman hehe. pero kung sa October na ang bukas, dapat naka-schedule na ko for OJT para in time na pagbukas ng SM samin, ready na ako to handle my staffs. tsaka na ang pag-spill ng position ha

did the HR give u some papers when u got the list of requirements? nabigay na ba list of requirements mo? yung binigay sakin -- list of req, appointment slip with the company nurse, authorization for background check. meron na rin palang ganito  sabi kasi nung isang sis natin dito noon, yung background check kapag i-re-regular na. nakakaloka! ang daming kelangang references

HI Empress! okay na daw [textspeak!] medical ko. kaya lang ganon ba talaga sa sm. contract signing is on the first day pa talaga? worry is baka mamaya, magresign ako dito sa current job ko tapos i am not holding any contract from SM. ayun lang naman.

^ i don't know about that yet. as per the hr lady, my papers are still in Manila. she asked me to sign a slip which has details of position, salary, department, etc. that for me is a sure sign i am really for the job!

will be back on Monday to submit dental cert & health permit & that's it, i hope i'll be done with all the requirements. nakakapagod nang mag-ayos tapos wala pa ding contract signing!

hi empress! aasikasuhin ko nalang yung reqts. ill start na working with them next month. nakausap ko [textspeak!] HR, i asked them re my query on my contract, ganon daw talaga sa kanila na first day yung contract signing. rest assured na tanggap ka na talaga once naging okay [textspeak!] results ng medical.

mga sis, san ba usually ginagawa yung mga interviews? sa head office sa MOA ba or sa SM branch na naka-assign yung post? may idea ba kayo or range sa salary? interested kasi ako to apply but i don't know what to expect.

initial interview and 2nd screening sa branch lang. after nun online exam consist of 30 items for english (reading comprehension, grammar) may time pressure 3minutes per question, 30 items for math na may time pressure din 3minutes per question and 300 items personality test eto yung walang time pressure.

anyone here working as a customer service manager (SM dept store)? kasi kakatapos lang ng online exam ko, after that ilang interviews pa? sa MOA na ba lahat ng interviews? mahirap ba yung interviews after exam? fluent english ba yung mga interviews? Thanks!

^sis, depende yan kung ilang interviews. someone i know had 7 interviews & her post is CS Sup. the interview is very thorough, aalamin ang lahat ng dapat alamin kaya humanda ka sa matagalang interview lalo na't CS Manager pa inapplayan mo.

u can read thru my past posts re: my interviews. u need a lot of patience kasi matagal ang processing & it takes them 2wks to a month before they could get back to u. as for my application, I'm just waiting for the sched of my orientation.

hi! i'm still waiting for SM to call me..tapos na ko sa final interview and i must say medyo matagal nga hiring process nila. actually sa treasury dept din ako.. kaso supposedly sa HO dapat ako eh tapos when i called the HR sa branch daw nila ko ilalagay.is it ok to ask the HR to just put me in HO corporate office na lang instead? baka kase sabihin choosy ako hehe.. and what is it like to work sa treasury dept ng mall? thanks!

hi jelagu! i don't know much about the treasury thing in SM but kase according dun sa mga nakasabay ko na for interview sa SM as Treasury Asst sa Mall.. sa forex daw sila ma aasign and parang teller din sa bank kase sila yung sa foreign currency exchange something.. yung mga nagpapalit ng dollar to peso.. something like that.. according lang dun sa nakasabay ko na TA ha?

yan kase [textspeak!] aaplyan ko eh, metinatayo kaseng SM dito sa Masinag, Rizal mas malapit sa house ko. eh angadvertise na ang SM na hiring na sila.

kaso iniisip ko Rizal? provincial rate yun? pero kung supervisor or manager position siguro naman mataas?

Im currently employed but so pagod na sa shifting sched (morning, reliever, night, mid shift) gusto ko ng matinong buhay. [textspeak!] tulog pag gabi.

do you have any insights kung [textspeak!] talaga ginagawa and how much woudl be the salary? nasa 20K above kaya [textspeak!] supervisor or manager?

^ 20k is the highest they can offer for managerial posts. i suggest you pursue a managerial post rather than a supervisory role. SM still treats supervisors as a Rank & File post, maraming ek ek jan!

yes, u can sleep at night pero patayan sa SM. u work on holidays & weekends & OT is overtime THANK U!

think well before applying at SM.

^20K? isn't that too low for a manager? anyway I know that if you are a department manager (HO based), starting is 40K. if I am not mistaken, it's the same as selling managers. probably a bit lower because if you meet the plans per qrtr, you get incentives/bonuses.
