WORKING AT SM (SUPERMALLS)

yey! after a month-long process, tapos na ang paghihintay ko.. I'll be starting na this monday sa SM corp. office..

fast paced ang ngaragan lalo when you're in the food business side of sm..if you want to gain extensive experience, sm is for you. salary-wise, hindi siya ok. office hours sa main office is 8:00 am - 6:30 pm. for OT, madalas 'thank you' na lang. imagine how many stores you're maintaining (30 plus stores)..plus the warehouses pa..good luck

Hmmm...over worked, under paid ang mga employees under SM (IMHO).

Nakaka awa din minsan ang mga SA na maghapon na nakatayo tas susungitan lang sila ng mga buyers.

ako, i can't really say underpaid. actually, this is the highest-paying company na alam ko sa field ko lalo na entry-level pa lang ako, but ang taas na agad ng starting. kasi sa ibang firms, grabe, allowance lang, minsan naman nasa 7500 a month lang ang starting. now THAT'S underpaid.

but fast-paced and ngaragan, yeah i totally agree. sagana nga rin sa OT at korek, TY lang ang mga OT.. But ang taas na rin naman kasi ng pay compared sa mga friends ko na pumapasok sa ibang companies. Malayo talaga ang agwat. So ok na rin ako. Di ko nga lang alam sa mga ibang positions na nasa SM..

^baka depende kung saan retail group ka.  ang rank and file, per day ang pay, unlike sa mga supervisors and up.

ewan ko lang kung karamihan sa employees sa tindahan eh contractual pa din.

^depende sis..mabilis na yung i-contact ka nila within the day. for interviews, depende sa position. 4-5 interviews.

i had 4 interviews. and yung application ko took 2months!! hehe

ako rin!... 2 individual interviews, and 2 panel interviews... i waited a month tapos just when  i gave up na, they asked me to report...

the cubao training dept is the main one, we trained trainers for the malls there... meron pa bang PEP talk?... i used to make that...

@trinity94: kasi i had the 2 individual interviews from the hr manger and vp for operations, i think, last friday plus the online personality exam. so it will take a day upto a month pala. kasi i'm giving myself a week after that accept ko na lang that it's not meant for me. yun pala meron din a month bago tawagan.

when you were called for the second time, did they offer you the job na?

i used to work in a company na mayroon mga transaction sa sm. well, depende din kasi siguro sa position. pero strict talaga. sabi ng mga employees dun..akala ko nga before ganda magwork dun e puros prestige lang hehe kawawa yung mga nasisigawan especially sa toy kingdom store...grabe yung experience ko dun before even sa harap ng clients may pinapagalitan.

im new here sa female network..need help sa navigation din...especially when starting a post..help please?


guys baka you know someone interested sa gluta products. we sell kasi. the product is in the market for 4 years na availabale sa watsons, mercury and rose pharmacy. with us my hehe thanks

i believe what SM does is manpower pooling... mabilis din kasi ang turn-over ng tao, esp if yung tao is not sanay with how fast-paced yung work sa mall... when i handed in my resignation, a week after meron na ko kapalit which i also trained to take over...

i may be biased, pero pinakamasaya at pinakahectic yatang dept yung training kasi halos everyday may ginagawa ka... sked namin noon, 2 days orientation training, 2 days cashiering, in a week... the rest of the days, you either go around the store or do product training pa rin...

tsaka pag sale or holidays, pagkatapos ng training mo, pulled out ka to work sa selling area... dun ko naranasan mag cashier, checker, purchaser, gift-wrapping personnel, mag inventory, etc...
