yup dapat naka ref sya and always check ang expiry date. Kahit gusto ko mag stock ng ilang bottles, hindi pwede kasi a week lang usually ang ref life nya.

Which is better ba for baby, yung refrigerated fresh cow's milk or yung hindi refrigerated (here its called UHT processed)?  I've noticed lang kasi, yung refrigerated, has a higher fat content, 3.7%-3.8%, yung hindi refrigerated, mga 3.5% lang normally.  And of course, the non-refrigerated milk has a longer expiry date.  I mean the fat content difference is almost negligible, so aside from that, me iba bang advantage yung one from the other?

^ Mas matagal din yata ang shelf life ng UHT-processed milk.  You can keep it inside the coolest part of the fridge (not the door) up to 7 days after opening without spoiling.

^^I read somewhere that refrigerated milk is more light sensitive, with its translucent packaging.  Vitamins and fat are already lost/reduced if the supermarket does not have proper dairy lighting (there's special lighting specifically for dairy, not just fluorescent).  UHT is less susceptible to this vitamin loss because of its opaque packaging.  Some argue, though, that vitamins and minerals are also lost during the UHT process.  I guess if you can find refrigerated milk in opaque packaging, that would be best.

Do we have any organic soy milk in Metro Manila supermarkets? We will be in Manila for 3 weeks and need to pick some up as soon as we land from the airport. Our daughter only drinks this kasi. Ok lang kahit di organic kung wala talaga...
