^it is really depressing to find out that you have a disease or sickness you didn't expect to have. i am speaking from my personal experience. this is especially true if you do not understand your disease. first of all, accept that you have it. then do something about it instead of thinking of killing yourself. i know women who have HPV and still live their lives normally. di naman lahat ng strains ng HPV ay cancer-causing. sa dami ng strains, in question pa ang hpv vaccine kasi max 4 strains lang ang protection nya at it cannot assure that you wouldn't be infected with HPV in the future.

wag pa-stress, kasi stress will lower your immune system's defense and it would be harder for your body to naturally heal itself.

  I want to share my experience with you sisters...  I am a mother of two children already and 35 years of age. I was always having a pap smear yearly check up since 2007 and everything is normal...  last two weeks... I found out about the hpv test .. (my doctor never told me about it until i found out so i told her na gusto ko din yung test)  Girls, who are active in sex ... should have done pap smear and hpv test.

  I had my gardasil complete last March 2012.

  Last two week is my first time to do the hpv test and I was shocked with the result as i am positive with high risk hpv. I've read a lot of studies and cases.  First, I'm a little bit scared and why i have this? Pero on the other hand ... i pray to God and thank him kasi at least na inform ako ng maaga and much watch out for any signs of changes in cells.

   Girls, cervical cancer is one of the top cancer sa philippines. Many active in sex (regardless 1 to 3 men) ang naka sex ninyo .. it doesnt mean you are safe ... especially if you do not use condoms..  so i really suggest na pap smear and hpv test agad ang ipagawa ninyo... kind of pricey but it will help you to discover kung merun bang namumuo na pre cancer cells....  I know a lot of people na who dies because of cervical cancer so better ....

   Ang nakakainis wala talagang symptoms ... as in you are healthy pero di mo alam may namamahay na virus sa katawan mo.   Anyway, my only difference from all that i've read online is that ... my pap smear are NORMAL since now pero i am a carrier of that virus (high risk HPV) ...  hpv 16 18 are the carrier 70% of cervical cancer pero wala naman ako nun since i guess i am protected with the gardasil ...

   But still im suspecting din gardasil at the same time... anyway i had the last gardasil shot like ive said nung march 2012 ... eh 2 years na din .. so i guess nakuha ko ito sa partner ko ... though it doesnt mean na nambabae yung bf / husband ninyo .. perhaps carrier na siya long time ago.. hinde lang natin alam ... and ive heard also na mostly na proned sa hpv na madali makakuha are yung uncircumsized na guys.

    Now what if i have high risk HPV... well, first i prayed to God to thank him na binibigayn nya agad ako ng reason to inform me kaysa its too late.  Second, to be more careful in what i eat and take multivitamins... I've hear always yan natural vit c ( KB rosehips), Vitamin A, Folica Acid. Wag daw papa stress and have a lot of sleep like 7-8 hours.

    Better na no sexual contact muna... kasi una nakakahawa siya puwede mo siya mapasa sa partner second para na din yung immune system can fight with that virus... coz this virus is same as like a flu virus .. pinagkaibihan walang cure for this .. pero marami ako nabasa na proper diet and health program sa sarili can cure naturally yung disease depends kung gaano kalakas yung immune system mo.

    Third, ang gagawin ko is to go to another biggest hospital to done another test. Hinde kayo puwede mag rely sa iisang test so make another second opinion...  Many people doesnt know about this kasi wala ka talaga mararamdaman unless very conscious ka sa health.. so kung nakipag sex ka with more than 3 guys and active ka sa sex... you can have this hpv na hinde mo alam ...

     Anyway.... ill keep you update sa result ko sa susunod...

^ depends yata sa OB... yung sa akin was Gardasil, 3k per shot ang singil sa akin ng OB ko.. kakatapos ko lang ng 3rd shot last January.

I must say I'm quite lucky and thankful kasi my company pursued the availment of discounted cervical vaccine for us. I paid P5000+ for 3 vaccines (salary deduction pa), actually I'm done na with the 3 shots. Cervarix yung sa amin.

nag-offer din ng ganito sa company namin. cervarix, 5,000/3 shots and salary deduction pa. I completed mine last year. Thankful na din ako na nag-offer si company kasi mas mahal nga sa labas.

^ bakit takot ka magpavaccine sis? hindi bat dapat mas takot ka pang magkasakit ng kung ano ano related sa STD. alam ko after the shot wala naman bawal na walang sex. ang bawal lang is mabuntis ka so dapat finish all the shots first and let a few months pass before magbuntis, kung plano ninyo. therefore, you also have to think of your birth control.

as much as possible its better to be safe than sorry, so its best talaga magpa vaccine. according to the obgyn of my cousin sa London, mas effective 100% nga lang ito kapag teenager pa lang and no sexual experience yet kapag nagpa vaccine compared sa may experience na but still..better than nothing.

you may be careful sa partner mo, sabi mo nga 1 lang. pero siya ba isa lang din naging partner nya? and will it stay that way forever? you can never say diba.
and the thing that's unfair is most STDs na carrier si guy is wala siyang symptoms, pero kapag nahawaan nila tayo mas evident satin ang symptoms..mostly ha, not saying all.

^nako sis takot din ako sa injections, needles and blood!  pero wala eh, mas takot ako sa cancer hehe kaya no choice, kahit ba wala ako partner, mas ok ng sigurado ako.
take advantage ka sis sa offer sa company ninyo kasi kung sa obgyn mo papagawa mismo yan ang mahal ng bawat shot.

I'm planning to take my first shot within the year. Nirecommend kasi ng ob ko altho di pa namin napag-usapan, she just mentioned na it costs 4500 daw. I'm assuming gardasil na yun.

Ang price ba is depende sa ob or sa hospital/clinic mismo? And do you know of clinics na ang price range nasa 3-3500? Meron kasi akong mga nababasa na ganun ang price.
