^ ako kasi sis advice talaga ng doc na magpa papsmear muna bago ako e vaccine..may cervicitis ako last year at na cure naman sya ng mga supp. at medicines pero di pa ko nakapagpa vaccine kasi parang after 2 months bumalik uli ang discharge ko.

Last October 2010 I had my first 2 shots. Discounted siya sa office. Tapos, yung 3rd shot pala is sa OB na daw. I didnt know na may 3rd shot pa pala. =( Sayang. Kailangan ba mag repeat ako ng shots? Or pwede magpa 3rd shot nalang ako? Thanks!

I'm 16 and I have genital warts. I am now exposed to HPV. I knew I had this because I have done some things before that I regret now. I am open-minded because of some issues in  the family. Independent na po ako and I have no parents, guardian or even siblings with me to guide me. My mom just died last year, i'm an only child, parents are separated and guardians are either abroad or in the province. Nobody here in the Metro. So I try to struggle for myself.

What could possibly be advisable, Cervarix or Gardasil? Wala po akong guts and budget pampaconsult ng OB eh. Pero i'll try to see if makakaya kong makaipon for the vaccine which is 3 shots nga po, nabasa ko sa thread. Kung may maisusuggest po kayo na mura lang, please let me know po. This gets me paranoid every night. Nasstress po ako. I haven't told anyone yet about this so I found this site helpful to release my feelings. I need some advices po. And some words to get by. Thanks po mga ate and mommies.

as far as i know, you should have your genital warts treated first. Go consult an OB. It's for your own good
din since you said exposed ka na sa HPV. From what I know, anti-cervical cancer shots are injected to PREVENT
or PROTECT you from HPV. Again, the shot is not used to treat HPV but to prevent or protect.

BEST Advice though:

Go see an OB and have yourself checked. If financially incapable, go to government clinics/health centers.

got my first shot of cervarix vaccine last march 14 from my cousin's wife which is my ob-gyne also kaya may discount na rin from her which is 2k na lang my second vaccine would be on april 15 at sabi nya hindi puedeng sobrang late ang pag balik ko kung di ako makapunta sa kanya ng april 15..kaya naka reminder na sa phone ko para di makalimutan  at ang last shot is sept. 16 na..

i am scheduled for vaccine on march 25... i'm 30, no hpv whatsoever. gardasil yung suggested ng ob, but she did not mention any side effects, i even asked if i can get pregnant kasi nga magpapakasal na ako and within six months i may or may not get pregnant..bakit ganoon? ang dami ko nababasa online about gardasil na hindi maganda... now i'm having second thoughts about getting the vaccine. parang gusto ko mag back out kasi hindi ko ma-weigh yung benefits (since i'm 30 na nga) fda approved is only up to age 26, older that's already off-label use... and yun nga madami side effects... i'm not even sure if this thing will protect me or not because of my age... i'm having the feeling na baka nga experiment lang nila na kailangan madami ma-vaccine

anyway, my derma warned me against these vaccines also. sabi nya sakin, dont! dont! dont ever get those... yung anak daw ng isang friend nya na doctor din, nagkaron daw ng bad reaction. kawawa kasi nasa early teens palang.

natakot nga ako for my sister because she had hers last year. so far ok naman sya, and sana wag naman magkaron ng bad effects later on.

sabi nga ng derma ko its just the pharma companies making money... di ko na rin alam which to believe.

^i read sa yahoo news na may isang teenager na nagsuffer ng disease after taking the shots. She collapses in school and is sleepy in the morning and insomniac in the evening. I'll post the link once I found it.

@tikitakz: it is true that the shots should be given up to 26 years old only (per packaging). my OB says, ideally, it should be given when you are still a virgin. the effectiveness of the drug is lessen when you already have contact.

I am scheduled to have my 3rd shot of Cervarix this sat. I had unprotected sex last sunday, what if say I took the shot then learned I am pregnant 2-3 weeks after, is this very bad?

Have anyone of you taken the Gardasil shots (4 strains) and suffer endometrioma or enlarged spleen or enlarged heart? I've been reading a lot of claims abroad about this vaccine causing bad instead of good. Mas ok sana kung first hand experience ng mga andito sa Pilipinas. Thank you.

May napagtanungan akong OB (though she is not my OB) ang vaccine sa kanya per shot is Cervarix 3500 and Gardasil 4500. I'm planning to have this vaccine also pero parang nagdodoubt din ako sa mga side effects na nababasa ko. Ang mahal na nga tapos may side effects pa? Kaloka lang. Mga sis baka may mairerecommend kayo na mas cheaper na rate sa vaccine? Wala man lang kasing parang ganitong program or discount dito sa office namin. Hindi din naman kasi sya carry ng HMO. Medyo maharlika kasi sya di ba. Thank you!

Bat ganun parang daming lumalabas na nega about sa Cervical Cancer Vaccine parang nagddoubt tuloy ako.. we were planning na kasi magpavaccine me, my mom and youngest sister which is 16 yrs old only.. yung sa sister ko naman kaya naging aware siya dyan sa Cervical Cancer Vaccine kasi sa school nila inofferan na sila pero its your choice naman if you want to be vaccinated or not,(school kasi nila ichecheck dun sa clinic nila kung ano pa kulang mong vaccine tapos ngpavaccine na siya nuon ng kulang nya then yung cervical [textspeak!] last na sinabi sa kanila) kaso pricey so sabi ni mama wag na lang muna kasi bata ka pa naman saka na lang sabay-sabay kami..

May mga commercial pa naman sa tv about dyan yung mga celebrities na ngpavaccine na kaya lalo ako naengganyo tapos pati si Janella Salvado nagpavaccine na din.. parang kailangan ko pa tuloy magbasa-basa pa about cervical cancer vaccine..

I also finished my vaccination 3 years ago. Along with my mom and my sister, so far naman walang side effects.

I just had my 3rd shot last July, so far wala naman akong napapansin na side effect.
My OB offers 3,800 per shot ng Gardasil

hi! I'm a newbie and I found this thread really helpful. Unfortunately, I've been exposed to HPV and genital warts. Been checking where and how to threat this but found out na it'll be forever in my system. 
Anyway, I just discovered having three tiny bumps near my vjj and had it checked with an OB before self medicating and found out that its genital warts. My whole world turned upside down finding out. I didn't bother getting the vaccine thinking I won't need it since  I'm not sexually active. Well I was wrong. I ended my 3 years relationship 7 months ago and found out just recently that my ex cheated on me and worst: infected me with HPV and  genital warts. I've been thinking of killing myself when l found out, but my gay bestfriend has been telling me to not panic yet since its just HPV and might be cured. I'll get Gardasil shot this Nov.28 hoping it might still help me not turn this into Cervical Cancer. I've read a lot of negative effects from cervarix and gardasil but that won't stop me from having the shots. I still feel really bad about this but I just want to tell other girls na wag manghinayang sa 3k plus na shot compared to being risked having this virus. Nakakabaliw pag andun ka na sa situation. Feeling ko ang dumi dumi ko. Pero nandyan na yan, wala na akong magagawa. I'll have the warts cauterized din since it's bothersome sa kati. Still researching other alternatives na cure. If anyone here knows how, please help me. Oh, just in case anyone is interested to get the gardasil shots or cervarix just message me below and tag me. Hope this helps.
