We just came from  the vet this morning for my Lhasa's 6-in-1 vaccine and opted to have his ears cleaned since his just 2 months and ang likot linisan ng ears...when his wax got tested, may irritation ng ear mites... according to the vet buti naagapan...he cleaned both ears and may gamot na pinatak para thorough yung cleaning and iwas ear mites...
grabe nakita ko yung itsura ng earmite sa microscope...pinakita ng vet sakin...nkakaasar tignan...kya pala lately di makatulog ng mahimbing si Zohan ko...buti pala naagapan!
ayun, sabi ng vet tuloy ko daw yung oxyfresh tapos hubby & i decided na ipa-clean sa vet na lang ang ears nya weekly kahit Php150.00 per session yun...

My friend has a chow and sabi nya na there will come a point na kailangan mo na talaga ipa-groom kahit anong suklay mo. Minsan sobrang kapal na ng hair hindi mo na masusuklayan ng maayos then matting will happen.

mga sis, im about to have a 3month old half lbrador half golden retreiver pup..since biglaan nga wala pa akong nailaan na money para sa mga nasessities nya like soaps and shampoo's...ano po ba advisable na shampoo and soap na pwede gamitin pansamantala para sa baby oliver ko? =( and [textspeak!] VCO po ba kahit anong VCO un?or may certain brand na kailangan /magandang gamitin? saan po ba nakakabili ng VCO? thanks TIA!

^ puppy shampoo sa supermarket less than P200. alpo brand ata yun... dont use shampoo for human at baka ma-irritate skin nila.

^ im not sure if complete na [textspeak!] sa vaccines nya eh.. =( kasi pet un ng ate ni bf eh naiirita na [textspeak!] sis nya kasi mejo nagiging destructive na (siguro kasi dahil sa teeth nya) and it's my first time to have my very own dog in my expense..may mga misusuggest po ba kayo na murang vet? =( gusto ko na kasi macomplete [textspeak!] vaccines nya if ever hindi pa complete and ipashot siya ng flea shot ba un?

we go to vets in practice in mandaluyong. consultation is 300. vaccine 350 if my memory serves me right... hanapin ko receipts and post ko later... alam ko may thread dito ng mga vets. so baka meron dun na malapit sa inyo,

your pup needs rubber chewtoys. be careful lang, iwasan mo yung may pito na pwedeng matanggal at malulon. so ingat sa squeeky toys. sm supermarket, dun sa P66 items nila, may mga chewtoys. meron palang wheel or donut. just remove the pito.

pwede rin stuffed toys na walang button eyes or anything na pwedeng matanggal nila. and not the very furry types... mas ok kung parang cotton material.

i dont recommend flea shots. may mga nagiging problem later on... mas ok yung frontline spray. effective sya. P600-650 yun pero matagalan na. 1x a month lang naman kasi pag spray.

your dog doesn't need to bathe every week. my lab who stays inside the house bathes 1-2x a month. mas shiny ang coat when hindi masyado pinapaliguan.

kung talagang tipid mode, gusto mo i-vinegar wash mo na lang muna siya. basain mo yung fur hanggang skin, massage mo lang. last rinse is a tablespoon of vinegar sa malaking tabo. the vinegar takes out the doggie smell and makes the fur shiny. i do this to my dog and on my hair. Yes, my hair when I feel I want to detox my scalp but that's OT na hehe. Works for both of us

^ For pups that young I like using the Lori herbal soap. Yung may protection na from parasites, ticks, and mange. Around 70 plus pesoses ata ngayon per bar. Ok naman siya noon kahit sa pups ko na sensitive ang skin.

^ Meron sa ibang malaking supermarkets and a lot of vet clinics and pet supply stores. Recently I saw that Pooch Park carries them already. Mas malaki ang topup price pag sa vet clinics ka kumuha.

new pet owners of 2 toy poodles. actually it's my teens. mag 3 months palang yung poodle this 31st. after bringing home the dog from the pet shop when can we give them a bath ba? pwede na ba namin lagyan ng powder yung pups namin. we got them last sunday so mga 4 days na sila sa amin.

Question: pag nag-va-vitality ba na dog food, pwede ng hindi mag vco? i'm planning to give vco din kasi sa kanya since pinaghahalo ko vitality and beefpro kasi beefpro talaga pagkain nya dun sa seller. how do you train your pet pala? how do you teach them tricks? i have several ebooks here about training the pets, if anyone's interested, let me know. di ko pa nababasa eh kasi lagi busy.

the weather is so hot nowadays... whenever i eat ice cream (vanilla), i would give my 6 month old pup a teaspoon to cool him down also... i know that regular milk is bad for dogs but so far he's not shown any bad reactions to it. no lbm...  i know in the US there's ice cream specially made for dogs but i dont think they're available here... do you think im doing him harm?

sometimes i put an ice cube or two in his water bowl.

what cold treats do you give your dogs? any suggestions?
