i saw a post kasi na binibigyan pala ng VCO ang dog.what other tricks can you recommend?

Nakakalbo na yata yung baby namin!! Kasi hiondi na makapal yung fur nya sa tail at manipis na ang buhok nya for a Golden Retriever.

We figured she mist be shedding but I just noticed na nakakalbo na totoally yung tail nya.

She takes a bath twice a month and she has a bit of a flea problem. but i mean, are those enough reasons for her top go bald.

nagaalala na ako and i hope may makakasagot nito.

fleas can be a problem because she keeps scratching and may destroy her skin. you may also want to check if she has fungal infection on her skin.

ako i give VCO and cod liver oil to my dog. also pet tabs.

i brush his hair everyday and put his anti-tick, flea and mosquito spray from giga. i only put frontline kapag magbabakasyon siya sa bahay ng lola ko na madaming kuto yung ibang dogs. otherwise it's just regular brushing and spray.

my furkid is allergic to shellguard and similar formulas but he's hiyang with vco soap so I use that.

hindi naman kami particular sa brand. yung cod liver oil yung tig-1 peso sa mercury yung binibigay. yung VCO theraherb.

yung VCO, i mix with his dog food. actually iinumin naman niya even without dog food. parang appetizing sa kaniya yung amoy. pero hinahalo ko na rin sa dog food niya para ganado sa pagkain.

the cod liver oil, dahil capsule siya, i mix with his food also. pero may kailala ako, noond nagkaroon daw ng skin disease yung lab niya, pinapahid daw nila yung cod liver oil sa skin ng dog. hindi ko pa na-try yun kasi feeling ko mainit sa skin baka ma-heat stroke naman yung furkid ko.

oks lang naman magbigay sa shih ng vco. nabasa ko ito sa dog tracker forums at philippine pet finder. iba-ibang breeds ang pinapainom ng vco. konti lang naman per day.

regarding naman food, mas ok kung boiled lang yung meats na ibibigay. as in hindi timplado like table food. kasi magiging picky eater daw yung dog. hindi ko nga lang alam exact measurements kung gaano karami ang ibibigay. pero yeah, boiled laman loob is appetizing for dogs. yung smell daw kasi ay nakakatakam for them. (yung yung secret ng green tripe ng solid gold. masangsang ang amoy pero natatakam ang dog)

i bought my giga spray sa cherry foodarama in congressional. pero may kiosk ang giga at vmall ground floor. it's about 150 pesos but really lasts. the 100 ml bottle lasted for more than 6 months. super potent kasi yung amoy so a little goes a long way. as in. ingredients are essential oils of cedarwood, patchouli and lavender.

@bellasugar, me too gusto ko bigyan pups namin ng home-made foods, lagi na lang kasing dog food.

^^very minimal if any. definitely no soy sauce and patis.

as for the dosage, ease the vco into their diet para hindi mabigla digestive system at baka mag-loose stool. a teaspoon would do siguro for small breeds kasi kami yung lab namin 1 tbsp lang or so per day lang siya. as for max dosage, hindi ko alam. iba-iba ang nutritional requirements per breed. i think ok na yung teaspoon for small breeds.

^no prob. my furkid is my passion. i love it when others have the same passion for their pets.

I use pet tabs multivitamins (about 450 pesos per bottle of 60 tablets). Vet recommended this to me.

BTW, I read a research that it's good to give your dogs broccoli once in a while to prevent cancer. Tip daw is when you're cooking broccoli, chop up the stem portion you don't eat and mix it with their meal. Walang sayang sa broccoli!

Sabi nila sa forums for immunity and digestion yung VCO. Also for the skin and fur na rin para mas maganda. I personallu give my furkid VCO and nakita ko talaga yung effect ng VCO sa skin and fur niya. Dati parang mayy bald patches siya now he's super black and shiny (lab siya hehe).

For cod liver oil, supposedly fish oils help sa heart at sa skin din. I stopped na giving cod liver oil to my furkid kasi parang pareho lang  sila ng VCO. Bukod pa dun, may debate sa paggamit ng cod liver oil ngayon vs fish oil capsules. So i'm sticking with what i've tried and proven to be effective.

I have a really amazing black lab but we've been having problems sa skin nya since he reached adulthood. he's really sweet and very gentle sa kids eventhough he's as big as a horse (exage of course). we love him so much kaya lang his skin problems are really bothersome already. I'll try the vco.  thanks ulit

^ sensitive nga yata talaga skin ng mga labs. panapanahon din siya nagkakaroon ng allergies. but yeah a little vco relieves him of the itchies.

my furkid had an attack of itchies and ran out of vco so i tried EVOO. i put a drop of EVOO on his itch spot and it dried up after 1 day. hehe ang galing lang.

toothbrush every other day
brush daily
powder - occasionally lang
vet visits - as needed and whenever he has an appointment like vaccine. all activities of my dog is recorded in my organizer 
nail trimming as needed
bath - 2x a month
he's young pa so hindi ko pa sya ni wa-walk
madalas kami lumabas, sa halos lahat ng pupuntahan ko lagi ko siya sinasama, basta pwede at ok yung environment 
and he gets lots of hugs and kisses from me every day
