Easy-to-prepare Cheesecake

^ I use:
1-1/2cups crushed graham crackers (M.Y. San, pre-crushed already)
1/3 cup melted butter
2 Tbsp. sugar.

After mixing and pressing onto the pan, I refrigerate the crust while I prepare the filling.

bytheway, dun sa cream,haven't tried cream other than nestle all purpose. pwede naman siya na whip na hanggang maging stiff, though not as stiff as heavy cream nga siguro, what we do is chill the cream din. basta dapat malamig, hindi frozen ah, basta cold. di ko na maalala kung bakit, mas madali yata magincorporate ng air kapag cold yung cream?!hehe! i really dont know now.

I use Nestle All Purpose too - just make sure it's the one in the box and not the canned one. I chill it before whipping as well.

Definitely a fool-proof recipe for non-baked cheesecake.  Pag nakayanan nyo ito try the baked recipe din kasi mas masarap.

I'm going to try baking this tomorrow for my mom's bday. i came across a very easy recipe kasi, hopefully it wont be a disaster.

Mga sis, i have a round pan na pyrex, wala pa kong springform kasi. Ok lang ba kung yung pyrex ang gagamitin ko for baking? May inexpensive bang springforms sa malls like sa sm?

^i think you can use any pan, the only problem is that you'll have a hard time to place it on another container.

but if you intend to eat/slice it from there(your choice of pan) then its okay.

i guess springform pan are usually used for cheesecakes because you can easily remove the sides of the pan, making it easier to transfer to a better looking container

ako nga kapag may mga excess sa ginawa ko and hindi na fit sa pan sa cupcake cups ko nilalagay yung medyo hard yung paper.  if it looks too soggy, i store it sa freezer ginagawa kong icecream (i actually liked it better)

Choco Cheesecake Squares

Ingredients:

Crust:
3/4 cup butter
3 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup MILO

Filling:
1 cup cream cheese
1 300ml can condensed milk
1 pc egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp lemon rind(or flavoring)

Procedure:

      1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan. Add graham cracker crumbs.  Mix well.  Stir in MILO.  Mix well.
      2.  Leave about 1/4 cup for topping. Press remaining mixture evenly onto a 13 x 9 x 2inch-baking pan. Set aside.
      3. Beat cream cheese until light. Slowly stir-in condensed milk, egg, and vanilla. Pour over prepared crust then sprinkle over reserved crumb mixture.
      4.  Bake until set, about 45 min. at 350 degrees F preheated oven.
      5.  Cool then cut into 24 squares.

MANGO CHEESECAKE

Ingredients:

Crust:
1/3 cup melted butter
1 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp unflavored gelatin dissolved in
1 1/2 cups ripe mangoes pureed
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1 300 ml can condensed milk
1 can 160g NESTLE Cream
2 pcs mango peeled thinly sliced
1 tsp unflavored gelatin dissolved in
1/2 cup boiling water

Procedure:

      1. Combine all ingredients for crust. Press firmly on the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Chill.
      2. Heat gelatin mixture for about 5 min. Set aside to cool. Beat cream cheese with condensed milk and NESTLÉ Cream.
      3. Fold in gelatin mixture and pour into prepared pie crust.
      4. Chill until set and garnish with mango slices and brush with glaze.

^ I made mango cheesecake last weekend, but slightly differently. Since after the holidays we couldn't find graham crackers, I made the crust out of
1c flour, where you cut in
1/2 c softened butter
Form into a ball then press onto the bottom and sides of a pie plate and bake in a hot oven for about 10min or until golden brown.

I filled it with the cheese filling, which I made the same way as the blueberry cheesecake recipe of miming:

    * 10 ounces cream cheese
    * 1/2 cup powdered sugar (confectioners sugar)
    * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    * 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
    * 1 cup heavy cream
Beat together the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and lemon juice in a bowl until smooth.

Lightly whip the cream, and then fold it into the cream cheese mixture.

For the topping, I dissolved 1 envelope unflavored gelatin (Knox) in little mango juice. To this I added
1 c mango juice (which I heated)
1/3 c brandy (just because it was lying around) and
1/3 c brown sugar
I stirred until everything was mixed then added the mixture to 2c diced fresh ripe mango. Chill until the gelatin firms up, then spoon this over the cream cheese filling.

It was pretty yummy, and I want to try this recipe next time with honey.

havent tried making baked cheesecake..kasi i find it hard..need ko pa kasi buy a pan for roasting or any pan where in i can baked bath my cheesecake..

i baked my cheesecakes in aluminum foil pans (the round disposable ones which I got in SM hypermart) last weekend. it was a success, i just reduced the baking time (supposedly 55 mins of baking sa recipe ko, but I just made it 40 mins), placed a pan of water in the bottom of the oven, and left the cheesecake 30 mins in the oven after turning off the fire. Cheesecake is not overbaked (moist and hindi matigas ang crust)! Wala pang pagod sa foil pan since it's disposable

Gusto ko din i-try ang baked cheesecake.. kaso paranoid kc ako pag nasa oven na yung mga niluluto ko.. once in while chini-check ko sya. the last time I tried is fudge brownies.. mejo nasunog sya sa gilid pero sa gitna naman hindi.. I wonder what went wrong...
