Hi sisses! I need your advice, anong mas economical na panggalingan (in terms of time, $ and logistics) going to Apo Island? From siquijor or dumaguete?

^sis tammy my friends and i are planning to go to siquijor too. sometime around april pero land trip kami from Bacolod to Dumaguete. i'm lurking in this thread and absorbing as much information i can.

Sa mga nakapunta na ng Siquijor, Coco Grove lang ba ang magandang resort dun? Parang medyo pricey kasi ang mga rooms nila. I was looking at Coral cay resort, ok din ba dito? thanks

^bigyan kita ng feedback sis pagbalik ko kasi sa coral cay kami mag-celebrate ng new year. na-meet ko na yong owner, friend nila bf yon. kaso gabi kasi kami nagpunta dati, dinner lang kaya wala akong idea kung anong itsura ng paligid. pero try kong humingi ng discount kung pwede. coco grove sa tingin ko ang pinakamaganda yon nga lang medyo pricey talaga.

I would rank Coco Grove as #1 and it also offers the most convenience/comfort (good restaurant, etc.). Location is also a plus.

Coral Cay would be a good #2 IMHO. Food is decent, some rooms are a bit worn down (avoid the ones in the back - yung 4 na magkakadikit)

Other options: try Villa Marmarine (the rooms are nice & the Japanese owner is great. also yummy food) or Casa de la Playa (great food with a lot of vegetarian options. you might feel a bit isolated but it's nice. Wouldn't recommend this for families but for couples, the 2 other resorts near Casa are Kiwi & Islanders Paradise)

The government run resort at Salagdoong is OK but you'll also be isolated here & won't have a choice except to eat at their restaurant. The beach gets really crowded on weekends. I don't like how they developed Salagdoong - it has lost it's charm since they added the water slide. Still a nice beach but sayang!

ok sis rocky...antay ko yung update mo, thanks ha? Lagi ba kayo sa Siquijor? Nakita ko yung price ng coray cay, much cheaper sya sa coco grove and mukhang ok naman ang resort nila based dun sa pics althou syempre hindi masyadong reliable yung nasa website di ba? Pag naka-ask ka ng discount pakidamay mo na din kami ha? heheh. we'll be in Siquijor from Jan. 19-21, 2013. 3 lang kami at medyo pricey nga sa coco grove pero keri lang din kung super ganda talaga at ang laki ng difference nya sa coral cay. Pero kung halos pareho din naman, I think I will prefer coral cay na since mas affordable sya.

^hehe! mukhang mapapadalas ang punta namin ng siquijor sis, don kasi naka-based friend ni bf. don pa rin kami stay sa private resort nila. kung ako lang masusunod gusto ko na don tumira. sa coral cay lang namin celebrate new year kasi may live band & para unli food. wala kasing katulong sa resort kaya walang mag-aasikaso ng food. sige ask ko si ate helen kung pwedeng humingi ng discount tutal hindi na naman peak season punta nyo.

To add sa pupuntahang resort, nagandahan ako sa Kawayan Holiday Resort kaso malayo siya.  Hindi man mataas at malawak ang shoreline pero yung view ng dagat especially at day time ang ganda lang. They also have a pool if you opt not to swim in the sea.

^sis nasa around $100 yata yun nakalimutan ko hehe kasi libre lang kami ng boss ko. yung rooms nila hindi sobra ka grand pero yung view talaga niya when facing the sea, ang ganda lang hehe

^thanks sis. parang mabato talaga yong beach sa siquijor, kahit don sa harap ng resort ng friend ni bf. kaya don lang din kami sa infinity pool naliligo tutal salt water naman

ask ko lang uli..ang dami rin kasi akong nakikitang resort sa siquijor sa mga websites, alin ba ang magkakalapit? Coco grove and Coral Cay? Saka saan may TV? yun kasing isang kasama ko hindi mabubuhay ng walang TV hehe..

and for some reason, I am not able to make a booking or Inquiry thru the Coco Grove website, as in ayaw ma-submit nung form. Then wala din akong nakikitang prices ng rooms. Nagka idea lang ako sa price nila thru southtravel.com yata yun. Hindi rin ako sure kung may something na bina-block dito sa office kaya ganun. Has anyone tried the online booking thru their site?
