Siquijor-Dumaguete

Hi sisters, narealize ko my  trip to Dumaguete and Siquijor will be in 2 weeks and wala pa ako nagagawa! Ha ha.

Anyway, ok na kaya itong itinerary ko?

Day 1: Arrive Dumaguete -
          Apo Island beach trip

Day 2: Dumaguete to Siquijor
          Tour and overnight Siquijor

Day 3: Siquijor back to Dumaguete
          Explore Dumaguete

Day 4: Dumaguete solo explore
          Afternoon flight to Manila

Ok lang kaya ang one night in Siquijor, or dapat 2 nights? Hindi ko naman plan to visit the caves, yung mga falls lang and convents.

kami sis overnight lang sa coco grove, but then we did not roam around the city na. sa coco grove pa lang dami na namin nagawa

for those going to Dumaguete starting Apr8, you might want to book your accommodation at Gohotel. they have 88 peso promo ongoing. so wala pang 100 pesos per room per night ang kakalabasan nun. for 2 pax na yun.

just came from Dumaguete this weekend. stayed at Florentina Homes (good deal at 3,5k/night for 4 pax in a suite) in the city. then we went to Apo Island for snorkeling. we saw several sea turtles, nakakatuwa...but sad news is that the marine sanctuary got ruined by Sendong kaya hindi na namin nabisita

^ sayang naman. madami nga daw nasira sabi ng husband ko. he went diving in dumaguete and there were corals that were destroyed because of the typhoon.

a few years back, we went dolphin watching in Manjuyod. It was really nice!

^sayang nga eh. hindi na kami umikot ng Apo island dahil nga sa marami nasira. but still, it was quite a sight to see. ang blue ng water malapit dun sa may big rock, and the marine wildlife is still a lot...i wanna go back soon to see all that the island has to offer

haha di naman daw nakakatakot na ngayona ng Siquijor. "majestic" nga ang tawag diba  i wish i could visit the place soon!

oo nga! ni search ko, parang ang ganda nung Coco Beach Resort. Had I known na 35 minutes lang yung travel, dun nalang sana kami pumunta last month. Hmp. Gusto din pala ni husbandry dun kasi may diving.

Ah talaga may diving dun? Okay ah and since bihira ang bumibisita, hopefully mapreserve yung beauty ng lugar.

Yan tuloy gusto ko na maginvest sa snorkeling and diving gear. Hehe!

girls how about antulang resort? may nakapunta na ba? malapit lang daw to sa dumaguete, ask ko lang if pwede ba yung day tour? or exclusive yung resort sa mga guests lang thanks!

Trempot, yes madaming diving resorts dun according to him, nakita ko din online. although di masyado maganda yung ibang resorts, di bagay for family or with kids.

hush puppie, try mo visit ang site nila http://www.antulang.com/. my MIL wanted to go there for a day tour last month but we were too tired so we didn't push through. sayang gusto ko pa naman pumunta dun.

just got back from Siquijor-Dumaguete trip last May 1.  Grabe noong nasa Siquijor kami ang tahimik ng lugar at wala masyadong tao.  Akala nga namin ghost town kasi you seldom see people kahit na sa mga tindahan.  hahaha Pero worthy yung trip namin kasi nakapaglibot kami although we missed going to Cambugahay falls.  Three of the places na gusto kong balikan muli sa Siquijor ay sa:

Triad- ang ganda ganda lang ng overlooking view.  Kita mo ang kapayapaan ng tubig dagat na may magandang kulay at bundok na berdeng berde pa. 

Kawayan Holiday Resort- na amaze ako sa rock formations at sa kulay ng dagat dito sa Kawayan Holiday Resort.  Ang linis-linis ng tubig tapos crystal clear pa that entices you either to dive or swim kahit sizzling hot ang sikat ng araw. 

Salagdoong Beach Resort - kahit public beach resort ito at government owned, it has been maintain well.  Yung rooms on where we stayed, malakas ang aircon, malinis ang bedsheets, may libreng towel, soaps and shampoos, accommodating ang mga staff and spacious ang room.   Tapos yung seawater is lucid although hindi super pino yung white sand nila. 

Sa Dumaguete naman, we just dropped by kasi kulang na kami sa oras para maglibot.  Pumunta kami sa Sansrival at tinikman ang kanilang specialty.  Tapos namasyal sa boulevard and campus tour sa Siliman University.  Nakakatawa lang ang mga trike drivers doon kasi they will flock on you if they feel you are a tourist.  Tapos yung ibang tao talagang titingnan ka as if ngayon lang nakakita ng tao. 

All in all, both places are very peaceful at mabait ang mga tao.  Then, one thing I learned from my trip to Siquijor.  Hindi totoo na nakakatakot ang lugar.

ive been to antulang. its secluded. 8 kms from the main road. nice for relaxation the views spectacular.

sis yung friends ko sa coral cay nagstay. before kami mag-siquijor i'm torn between coral cay and coco grove. sabi ng friend ko hindi ganun kaganda ang beach sa coral cay. saka yung neighborhood parang residential sya. sa coco grove hands up ako. ang ganda ng sand and ang haba ng beachfront. may marine sanctuary pa saka floating bar tapos pede dun magsnorkel or kayak. clear ang water. mahal lang food
