just booked my tickets to dumaguete. i plan to straight to siquijor. 3d 2n. any itinerary you guys can share? no accommodations yet but am eyeing coco grove kaso medyo expensive. exclusive ba yun beach front nila? baka parang sa bohol pag gabi bawal ka na sa beach front ng bohol beach club. im asking kasi just in case di ako dun magstay gusto ko magpic dun. lol.

how about apo island? must see ba? ano activities dun?

from what i read, diving ang main attraction ng siquijor kaso di ako marunong magswim? pwede ba yun? may masusuggest ba kayo na mura?

Actually, nakuha ko number ni Joam sa pagresearch-research sa mga blog ng mga nakapunta na ng Siquijor.  Kung hindi magreply si Joam, magbackread kayo sa Siquijor thread ng PEx.  Meron ding mga nag-post dun ng numbers ng guides.

Since Siquijor is just one island, your itinerary will basically just encircle the island.  Alam na ni Joam yung mga kailangan mong puntahan.  I was able to do that from 10am-3pm - although since day trip siya, medyo nagmamadali na kami sa bandang huli to catch my ship ride back to Dumaguete.  (Naiwan ako, actually, hahaha.  Buti may isa pang trip.)

Kami sis sa diamond de siquijor nagstay. Aircon with cr. 800/day. Eto iti namin:
Capilay spring park
Century old balete tree
Cambugahay falls
Lazi church and convent
Salogdoong beach

Mukhang maganda nga sa apo island, but dollar rate siya! Mahal!

When I went to Salagdoong beach, there were less than 10 people there.  I was told that it could get really packed during weekends because the beach is owned by the local government, and that Siquijor residents can use it for free and they tend to congregate there on weekends.  Weekdays however render the beach almost empty and pristine.

If you think you have the "balls", try jumping off the high diving platforms.  I tried to stand there while taking a picture of the horizon, but my mind kept on imagining what it would be like if I fell. ;-)  Scary but exciting.

nakapagpareserve na ako sa hotel nicanor, tinext ko lang ngayon & ang bilis magreply. tapos sila pa yong tumawag sa kin, di na ako hiningian ng down payment upon check-in na lang daw. bale 849 yong single room.

^ feeling ko same owners lang sila ng hotel palwa sis. Kasi may mga hiring sila for both hotels.

^kakatuwa, mabait yong nakausap ko sis sa phone. bilis ng araw, next month na yong solo trip ko.

^kami din sis sa hotel nicanor and yun nga, di na sila humingi ng downpayment kaya ok.. sa email naman kami and mabilis nga magreply. nag inquire din kami sa hotel palwa e.. konti lang diff ng price pero may bfast na sa palwa. pero ewan ko ba, parang nung kausap na namin sila pareho, mas nafeel namin ang hotel nicanor..

^tsaka maganda naman feedback dito ng mga sis natin sa hotel nicanor. tinanong ko rin kung pwede early check-in kasi sa website 3pm pa eh 9am nasa dumaguete na ako. sabi nila pag available naman yong room, pwede na.

tinanong ko din yun e.. hehe.. at yun nga, ok lang naman daw as long as may available na nga.. tapos kung late check-in naman daw, sabihin lang daw what time dadating kahit gabi para i-hold yung room. inulit ulit ko nga ang basa sa email na kung wala talaga downpayment kase nadala na ko dati sa ganyan, nung sa davao kami, pagdating sa sampaguita wala daw kami room.. si arlie kausap ko sa hotel nicanor e, sabi nya no need na daw talaga magdown.. mega print ako ng email para dadalin ko..hehe

I stayed at Hotel Nicanor too.  I generally had a good experience with them pero nainis lang ako nung check out na.  I was told to wait before I could leave as they were checking the room.  So I waited sa lobby in full view of the front desk.  20 minutes later, andun pa rin ako.  As I don't stay in hotels that much, I thought that was normal.

Then there was this couple who were also checking out.  And they were also told to wait.  They waited in front of the front desk.  Then 3 minutes later, pwede na daw sila umalis.

So nainis ako, sabi ko bakit nauna pa umalis yung dalawa.  It turns out, the front desk guy forgot all about me.  Kung hindi pa ako nainis, hindi nila sisimulan i-check yung room ko.

Somehow, that spoiled the entire hotel stay for me.  Ok na sana sa lahat ng aspect, pero doon pa sa huli pumalpak.
