Joining!

I'm a reader now of John Grisham novels, after being a Sheldon baby for quite sometime. So far, I love his "The Rainmaker" and "The Innocent Man". His stories are great, lalo na para sa mga mahilig sa law (like me) and courtroom drama. What I also liked about his novels is the realistic approach / attack to the legal profession (characters, story development, etc). I think this is because of him being a defense lawyer before kaya he was able to combine stories with legal items in one good read.

Right now, i'm finishing "The King of Torts". ok din!

The Testament

My sister is a fan of John Grisham, dami na rin sya books. Sa booksale nya binili karamihan. Ang nabasa ko pa lang ay The Chamber. Nakakaiyak rin to kasi nahatulan pa rin kasi... Oopps, spoiler! Haha. Try ko magbasa pa ng iba pag nasa mood. Hehe. Di rin kasi ako talaga mahilig sa novel. Pero yung The Client ok siguro.

I loved Grisham's The Pelican Brief.

The movie, which starred Julia Roberts, did not give enough justice to how awesome the book really is.

Favorite ko sya before kaya lang nagsawa na din ako sa mga books nya eh. last na nabili at nabasa ko yung the testament. after nun, wala na. i lost interest na.

i bought two grisham books. babasahin ko siya ngayong sembreak. hehe. sana matapos ko. dati kasi wala ako tyaga tapusin mga books niya. ngayong law student na ako, gusto ko na basahin.

Isa palang nababasa ko sa kanya, The Testament. I don't read so much court room drama novels kasi may tendency na mahalo ko sa inaaral ko, tulad nalang nung nakanuod ako ng isang episode ng The Good Wife tapos may exam ako eh di ko maalala kung nabasa ko ba yun sa book or napanuod ko sa TV hahaha

Agree! Ito ang first book na nabasa ko authored by him. Addiciting nga. And may humor din.
Mapapaisip ka what's gonna happen next.
I did not feel bored while reading it.

^ I'm glad sis, na yan ang nabasa mo kasi entertaining talaga. May mga books kasi sya g sinukat nitong latter part, na sobrang boring or too serious like yung a Painted House.

I like his earlier works like Pelican Brief, The Client,etc.
For some weird reason, hindi ako nagka interest panoorin yung mga movies nya.

love Grisham sya binabasa ko when i was a teen, last year

. di ko malalaa which one i read first the client or Pelican Brief. intense and harrowing na kasi sya for my juvenile mind tapos the movies came after so wow factor pa yun. haven't read any of his new ones parang naiwan sya sa teen days ko yun and mga movie tie ins were my two favorite reads.

im currently reading The Firm. tagal na yta ng book na to pero highly recommended ng friends ko. first time ko lang magbabasa ng John grisman book.
