A Time to Kill was my first Grisham novel and got me hooked. He is one of my favorite authors and memorable talaga ang mga story nya. Highly recommended! I was so inspired in becoming a lawyer whenever I was reading his works way back.

hi! i'm new here, just want to share my opinion, since you're asking regarding john grisham.

my sister collects john grisham books. like what heatherette said, since he's a lawyer, halos lahat ng books nya eh about lawyers, jury and drama sa courtroom. pero maganda, kasi hindi ito love story, most of the time  story ng isang lawyer. almost all of his books pati eh naging movie na. A Time To Kill, The Client, The Rainmaker, The Jury (not sure), The Chamber. i got interested reading his books after watching A Time To Kill, kasi naiyak ako nung pinanood ko ito. The Chamber naman, hindi ko napanood ang movie, pero nung binasa ko yung book, naiyak ako sa last chapter-pati yung ate ko nung binasa nya naiyak din sya.

so, i suggest na i-try mong magbasa ng books ni john grisham (mas maganda yung mga nauna nyang books compare sa mga new releases lang), kase maganda naman ang novel nya....pasensya na kung mahaba ang reply ko.

i love john grisham's books! ito yung dahilan kung bakit nabitiwan ko ang sweet valley series 

the first book i read was The Firm. tapos unti-unti kong binuo yung collection ko. i have almost all of his books. well, i have all except Playing for Pizza. i have rin the Painted House pero di ko pa nabasa until now. mas gusto ko kasi yung lawyer stuff hehe.

i've read a few of his books pa lang, gusto ko kasi book ko na talaga siya bago ko basahin. 

ang maganda sa books ni grisham, page-turner talaga siya. may suspense. and also, you can't stop yourself from rooting for his heroes.

i didn't enjoy the ending of the 'the rainmaker' tsaka 'the partner.' yung sa the rainmaker kasi, ampanget na successful na yung lawyer pero a problematic woman caused his downfall pa (for me ha). pwede namang wala yun sa istorya. yung sa the partner naman, hindi believable yung ending niya tsaka wala man lang kahit isang foreshadowing.

natagalan din ako sa the painted house, pero pag mga nasa gitna ka na, maaabsorb ka na din sa pagbabasa. tsaka ganda ng feeling pag nabasa mo siya. parang totoong nabuhay sa grisham sa ganung era, yung farm farm pa lang tapos bago pa sa mga tao yung industrial jobs. it's one of my favorite works of his.

okay si grisham overall. although ang napansin ko sa kanya, sometimes nadadala siya ng emotion sa pagsulat kaya may mga instances that he describes things that the main character have no way of knowing. e.g., yung emotion or thoughts ng isang opponent na lawyer.

Isa pa lang nabasa kong Grisham book, The Client. Good read naman siya, medyo nakakainis lang at dragging yung pagdedesisyon ni Mark. Yun lang naman ang complaint ko, hehe. Overall, I enjoyed the book.

I'm a big fan of John Grisham. I already have all of her novel books but I haven't watch any of it that became a movie. Oh yeah, I don't have the newest.

Through Grisham's novel, madami kang matutunan about law. Page-turner mga book niya and you really can't stop reading since you wanna know what would be the end result pero mas maganda [textspeak!] mga una niyang books kesa [textspeak!] mga recent. The Testament was the very first book that I read and twas given to me by my English teacher back in HS.

pero funny my fave grisham book is non-lawyer related... yun the bleachers

anyways, just finished reading The Innocent. its a first non-fiction for him. its a good read.

one of the best books i've read. the fact that it's non-fiction makes it all the more gripping.
