Naexperience nyo n ba makunan or miscarriage?

hello! i am currently on my 16week pregnancy and my ob told me i have a shortened cervix (from 37mm to 28mm)... He asked me to have a full two weeks rest... i'm worried about what my baby's condition will be... Has anyone experienced the same thing? I've read it has great risks that leads to miscarriage or early labor...
Do you know if there are chances that my cervix will turn back to its normal size? thanks for your attention...

^hi sis!bakit daw incompetent cervix mo?ilang months ka ba nung nakunan?nagpa check up din ako ngayon..yan din ang findings sakin ng duktor.i already have two miscarriages both sa second trimester.kaya next week magpapa ultrasound ako para ma check length ng cervix ko.ayaw ko naman magpa cervical cerclage..im pregnant ngayon.naguguluhan pa ako.

5 months sis bumubuka yung cervix ko na wala akong nararamdaman. bakit ayaw mo sis? pero naiintindihan ko kung bakit ka naguguluhan kase kahit ako napapaisip pa rin kase baka pwede pang makuha sa pampakapit.. kaya lang sis maganda na rin yung sure ka.. goodluck sa pregnancy mo, sana this time mailabas mo na sya ng full term at healthy be extra careful sis

^thanks sis!yan din ang pinag pe pray ko ang lumabas sya ng full term. my sister also had two miscarriages,going 7mos na tyan nya nung lumabas ang baby pero hindi rin nag survive.nung third preganancy nya lahat din ng duktor nag sasabi sa kanya na kelangan nya ng cerclage then she went to fabella for check up.sabi nung duktor na tumingin sa kanya kalokohan daw ang cerclage maybe hindi sya naniniwala at hindi daw yun kelangan ng sister ko.sa awa ng Dyos sis naka pag full term nman sya and malaki na ang pamangkin ko ngayon..duvadillan lang ininom ng sister ko. sabi pa ng duktor kahit talian daw ang cervix mo kung lalabas ang baby lalabas talaga sya at wala kang magagawa..same din sa sinabi ng mama ko.kaya hindi ko pa alam kung ano ang magiging desisyon ko.

naiintindihan kita sis.. ngayon nga puro ako research online kung kahit may incompetent cervix pwedeng hindi mag undergo ng cerclage.. magpapacheck up din ako sa ibang ob kung mga tatlo sila na pare pareho ang sasabihin well siguro kelangan ko nga talaga gawin yun if ever ma preggy ako ulit.. samahan mo lang madaming dasal sis. ingat kaw parati

hugs to all of you. I have been there and I know how difficult it can be. I had miscarried to in 2005. Lost the baby at 12 weeks (no heartbeat). I had to have a D & C.  I am PCOS so it's harder for me to cope because it's like killing the hope of becoming a mom na rin. Thank God in 2006, i got pregnant again and it was uneventful. Gave birth to a baby girl in 2007.

December 2008, I had a tubal pregnancy naman. The pregnancy was unplanned but still....

i had my 1st US last nov. 16 then advice ng OB ko bedrest. Dec. 3 na kami nagpa US ulit talagang wala marinig na heartbeat so my mom decided to admit me at hospital, kahapon lang din ako na d & c,so sad nga eh parang may phobia na ko magpa US and maging preggy ulit.

I'm on my 4th pregnancy now after 3 miscarriages. Controlled naman ang blood sugar ko since i'm type 1 diabetic. Binigyan nila ko ng progesterone suppository twice a day ko gamitin for 21 days, hopefully this would work. I have faith na magtuloy tuloy na ito because if something happened hindi ko laam kung anong depression na naman ang dadaanan ko. I had my check-up before i had this pregnancy with infertility they did SIS kung san malalaman kung may problema sa uterus they did some lab work for me and my husband also and everything is all normal sabi ni doc bad luck lang daw so i'm praying this 4th is a healthy and normal pregnancy. Pls. pray for me mga sis. I'm not having any spotting or bleeding by now pero sabi ganon talaga pag gumagamit ng progesterone you can miscarry without bleeding and n symptoms at all. I'll be having my ultrasound on the 22nd i'm hoping to see the baby's heartbeat.

i used to post here tsaka dun sa forum ng metformin users...but luckly got pregnant last september 2009 kaya matagal din akong hindi nakapagpost.

mga sis na may pcos o kaya yung mga nagkamiscarriage, don't loose hope... have faith in the Lord tsaka tyagaan lang sa pagpapawork up...kaya natin ito... be optimistic.

in 2007 and 2008, i had miscarriage.we were soooo sad then and feeling down [textspeak!] kami especially ako. we did all sorts of lab tests..apas, ths, t4, chole, karyotyping, torch..etc...
all came normal except for the prolactin which is slightly elevated..ayun pinainom ako ng bromocriptine na super mahal for a month tapos nagpatest pa kami sa PGH ng LAT and negative result kaya nagpacheck upkami kay dra aleta which recommended a procedure.. kahit mahal willing kami.. nakasked na nga na dec namin start session with dra aleta but then a friend recommended a new ob. so try namin.. that was dec 2008.. she suggested na wag na kami mag undergo ng procedue with dra aleta kasi wala naman akong allergy baka daw iba reason....

nagpawork up kami with the new dr and foundout i have bilateral pcos which could be thereason kaya slightly elevated prolactin ko and could be the reason for my m/c. i was given metformin at umabot ako sa4 times a day.. by theway nung una generic lang gamit ko na metformin and i noticed parang mabagal effect, din lumalaki follicles ko kaya kahit mahal nagshift ako sa branded na gamot... monthly nasa ob ako to monitor my follicles.. dami ko ring nagastos kakaultrasound, gamot (metformin p10, duphaston p50, vitamins p20, clomid p200 and yung pinaka huli yung femara p350) estimate lang price.. nakalimutan ko na exact price..yung iba dyan 2 x a day or 3 x a day pa.

months passed to the point na minsan nawawalan na ako ng pagasa...then last sept i got a good news na preggy na ako.

with prayers and help of my ob, im 20 weeks pregnant now. i still fear kasi naka half pa lang ako ng byahe but im keeping my faith na the Lord will this baby to us.

i had my mc last sept 23 '09, until now i still shed tears everynight.

@ gilenn - i understand how you feel. I was once like that almost a year nga ata akong bitter as in! 5days after my D&C(oct27'08) nag malling na ako hindi ko na inantay ang 1month rest period. ML ako ng Nov-Dec everybody was happy kasi xmas, ako hindi. When I went back to work buti na lang pinadala ako sa Singapore for wks training, since I work in an airline ginawa kong outlet yung pag travel super jetsetter ako nung 2009 every other month umaalis talaga ako literal went to singapore, hongkong, macau, hawaii, vietnam & bora my last travel was aug21,2009 after that sineryoso ko na ulit magpaalaga sa OB ko then Nov'09 I found out I'm pregnant again I know He knows that there's something missing & at the end of the day bitter pa rin ako. Continue to trust Him, oneday He'll give you that missing piece.

@ gilenn - try to go back to work, kelangan mo talaga maging busy para ndi mo lagi naaalala yung experience it really helps. I'm sure sa next pregnancy mo magiging ok na yan sis.
@ valerie28 - sis ganyan rin na experience ko sa mga people na concern. Tapos now that I got pregnant palagi ako sinasabihan na "o mag-ingat ka na ngayon ah" so parang sa loob-loob ko, hindi ba ako nag-ingat nuon??!!! nakakairita, hndi naman nila naiintindihan yung case namin dati. sino ba may gusto na mawalan ng baby lalo na kung most awaited, gusto ko lang i-share.

yes, nakunan na rin po ako once... ang sabi ng doctor ko i have an incompetent cervix daw... So, i decided to rest for 2 years yata? malungkot yung mawalan ng baby noh?? experience ko galing ako sa mall to buy my baby's clothes and then when i got home walang kaabog-abog dinugo na ko. how sad???
Ngayon preggy po ako at super alaga ako ng doctor ko.Actually,
nasa high-risk pregnancy unit ako. i'm on my 15th week na at lagi akong may ultrasound every check up ko to check daw kung umiiksi yung cervix ko. As of this moment ok pa naman yung pregnancy ko. Sabi ng doctor ko gagawain niya lahat para di lang maulit yung nangyari dati. I'm also hoping na maging succesful na ang pregnancy ko ngayon... never lose hope girls... maraming doctor ang magagaling, magtiwala lang po tayo sa doctor natin at syempre po kay God... god bless to all..

kaya mo yan sis. hindi ka pababayaan ng ob mo, atleast alam na yung cause ng dating mong m/c. btw, ask ko lang if you don't mind, ilang weeks ka nung nakunan ka before dahil sa incompetent cervix? and ano po yung nafeel mo? sorry po sa tanong ha. kasi this is my first time and im on my 26th wks palang. hoping and praying that everything will be alright. thanks sis.

sis ghilaine sinong ob mo? i was diagnosed with incompetent cervix also.. gusto ko yun approach ng ob mo kase if ever ma preggy ako ulit kailangan ko daw mag undergo ng cervical cerclage eh hanggat may ibang paraan ayaw kong gawin yun. TIA sis. God bless..

@gilenn, the same thing happened to me.  FDIU - fetal death in utero at 24wks.  i had a baby boy too. he has multiple congenital anomalies kaya his heart failed.  its not meant to be.  i was not working then too cause i want to be a hands on mom full time.  i didnt see him too, my choice!  cause i know he has deformities that i dont want to be in my mind.

back read for my post about it.  grieve if you want to, you need it.  but you have to find ways to move on and make this a turning point in your life.  God bless you sis!

i had d&c in oct'08, we're advised to try again after 3mos. but then lagi ako nag tratravel tumigil lang ako mag travel ng Sep'09 & i got pregnant in Oct'09 so far ndi naman ako nahihirapan sa pregnancy medyo cool kasi tong OB ko ngayon kaya ndi ako natatakot na baka maulit uli. I believe kelangan lang talaga mag pray & let God to took over tfor protection.

@gilen > hirap talagang sumagot if people asks if im OK?, minsan i dont answer na lang and just give a "force smile".  iyakin pa naman ako kaya i really avoid those instances. sis, malamang magkalapit ang due date natin, im due dapat feb 27... nakakapraning lalo, dapat in a few weeks may baby na sana ako, haaay... naku! naiiyak na naman ako....

pray na lang tayo sis, un lang naman ang dapat natin hawakan sa mga panahon na ganito.
