I had a 7 yr old son and he was asking for another brother and i told him as a joke your Lola can give birth coz your mommy cant have it anymore. as much as i want to age factor comes with it. as your grow old as my ob says i had a high risk pregnancy and complications. since i am a hands on mom at same time a working mom it comes that all my energy and time were drained from raising a son. in  short sobrang pagod ko. but i have no regrets coz i treasured all the time ive spent with him. having a child comes a  big responsibility. emotionally, financially, socially and spiritually. kids nowadays are so energetic and malikot kaya as a mom you should have superpowers to deal with these things.

napapaisip din ako about this kasi sabi nila malulungkot daw ang bata pag walang kapatid. there are many factors that we have to consider first before kami mag agree kung magkakaron sya ng kapatid.
3. nasa US si daddy nandito ako, pano un?haha
4. i have a problem with my cervix. incompetent sya. cervical incopetence ang tawag dun, it means na hindi nya kaya mag hold ng baby ng matagal. our daughter is a premature one born exactly 28 weeks pinigilan pa yun. 2nd na sana sya kasi nakunan ako before 5 mos na yung baby. so there's a big chance na if not malaglag again ang magiging kapatid nya or premature gaya nya. and i wouldn't want to risk another life dahil baka nga makunan na naman ako.

so gusto man ng daddy or gusto ko man na magkaron ng isa pa, eh dapat talaga pag isipan. those are the factors we consider kung isa pa or tama na yung isa na lang.

i have a 27month old daughter and personally OK na sa akin kahit only child lang siya. first of all, talagang miracle baby talaga ang baby ko. she was conceived surprisingly in God's own time. sabi kasi ng OB ko kailangan sa amin is test tube baby na talaga because i have PCO and si hubby naman ay low sperm count so hirap talaga kaming makabuo. she came at a time na i've almost given up, i said to God, kahit isa lang po Lord please give us a child. and yun nga in His own time, He gave us our baby.
Given the fact na hirap kami makabuo, one would think na gugustuhin namin ng maraming babies, but ok na ok na sa amin si baby.
Factors we considered, first, hirap nga kami makabuo.
then mahirap mag-alaga or walang mag-aalaga, given pa na my husband being an only child also is talagang hindi marunong so are my in-laws dahil nga isa lang anak nila kaya hindi rin masyadong maasahan mag-alaga. my parents naman are currently taking care of my niece na dahil my brother and his wife are abroad. so talagang mahihirapan talaga ako pag may isa pang baby ulit. isipin ko pa lang na mag start ulit ako sa umpisa ng pag aalaga eh nakakawalang gana na. meron namang yaya kaya lang shempre ayoko naman na sa yaya lalaki ang anak ko diba?
next, is yung financially, shempre you want to give the best to your child and while at it, shempre dapat ikaw din and your husband dapat nararanasan din ang fruits ng paghihirap nyo sa trabaho. and we feel that we would not be that well off na with another baby pa. andami pa naman naming gusto pang ma achieve like house & lot, travels abroad, etc. and mahirap kayang mangutang sa iba kung sakaling may magkasakit sa inyo at tipong sagad na kayo sa gastuhin diba?
and lastly, sa liit ng bahay at kwarto namin ngayon wala na talagang space for another baby...

yes, marami ring nagtatanong sa amin kung bakit di pa raw sinusundan, pero in my opinion, iba iba namang case talaga yan, people outside your home don't really know the effect that another child can bring to your home, you would still know best.

yung iba dyan andaming anak tapos paglaki ng anak bibilinan ng "o anak tumulong ka sa pag-aaral ng kapatid mo, wag ka munang mag-asawa..." or something to that effect. ayoko naman ng ganoon. i want my child to have her own life... ayokong bigyang sya ng unnecessary responsibilities na dapat kami ang nagproprovide.

so there...

But last 2011 I undergo Open Heart Surgery that I had to take life time maintenance medication. The doctors advise that as much as possible I shouldn't get pregnant. Super high risk and mahal :P

Matigas ang ulo ko after a year najontis ako ;D, so ang dami kong pinagdaanan; weekly check up and ultrasounds, tough decision on which med should I take, 2x a month of blood extraction for INR.

But with god's will we survive it financially, physically and emotionally.

Now I have one happy and healthy angel. :)

We have 1 child as well. He's turning 4 this year. Me and hubby wants to have another child (girl naman sana). But we are not yet ready financially. Since we are new parents, madami pa din kaming adjustments and we want to be financially and emotionally ready for the 2nd child. So, we agreed na sundan siya when he turns 7.

i have 1 daughter. positive thinker ako so im hopeful that my income will increase in due time that will give us more financial freedom regardless if my husband ever gets his act together financially. sobra kasi syang hindi stable earner kaya nakakainis. BUT i hated being pregnant. like everything about it. i also had a difficult delivery and was generally unhappy recovering from it. so i really dont know. i would love to adopt, though.

I have a 13 month old daughter, we want two kids sana but with all the expenses related to having a baby I had second thoughts about having another child. But hubby, my parents and in-laws are convincing me to have another one. We'll see if it happens, I was diagnosed with PCOS after giving birth.

I also did not enjoy being pregnant. I didn't have any complications during the pregnancy nor during birth (thank God!) but I was just so uncomfortable the whole time :(

I have a 2 and 1/2 year old daughter and my husband and I are thinking of trying for another baby after 5 years pa. We're working parents kase and we feel guilty na we don't get to spend as much time with her as we want kaya we don't want to have another child muna para hinde maagawa muna yung attention sa kanya. May mga plans din kame in the next 2-3 years which includes moving to another country so we'll see what the future holds.

I would want my daughter to have another sibling. I grew up with 4 siblings and iba yung may nakakausap ka. I agree naman na hinde porke may kapatid, close lahat yan. I think nasa pagpapalaki lang yan the same way na it doesn't mean na porke only child eh lalaking spoiled brat na. My daughter is well behaved and very sweet kahit nag-iisa lang samin and even if we have enough means to spoil her, hinde din namin sya pinapalaki na lahat ng gusto nya makukuha nya in a snap. I grew up as a very spoiled brat and it was quite difficult to unlearn yung perception na lahat kelangan makuha ko agad. Plus, it took me some time to realize that nabu-bully ko pala people around me and nahu-hurt ko their feelings. I don't want my child to have to go through that kaya maingat kame ng husband ko when it comes to discipline.

I have a 1 year old boy. I conceived him after more than 4 grueling years of waiting. Those years were so tiring...physically, emotionally, mentally and of course financially. Before I got pregnant, I took a lot of medicine and vitamins. Nandiyang uminom ako ng gamot pampatigil ng mens. The next thing I knew, I was advised to take meds para mag-regular ang mens ko kasi sobrang hina naman.

Now that my son is already a year old, I said to my hubby, magkakaroon pa kaya ng kapatid ang baby namin. Sabi ko, "we just got so lucky" kaya nabuo si baby. Natsambahan lang. Gusto ko sana magbuntis pag 4 or 5 years old na si baby. By that time, siguro naman naka-recover na kami financially. Magastos kasi ang pagbubuntis ko eh. High risk kasi kaya I need to take those pampakapit at pampa-stop ng bleeding the whole time. Oh, those bleeding made me terrified! I was on bed rest din kaya super bored ako sa bahay. Magkalayo din kami ni hubby because I needed to stay sa house nila mommy.

Kaya ko pa ba ulit pagdaanan ulit yun? And by the time 5 years old na si baby, 57 na si mommy.

pero sana in due time, maging stable kami financially para ma afford na ulet namin ang another baby, in God's perfect time:-)

I have 1 daughter, If God permits us to conceived again, why not? PCOS kasi ako and matagal kami bago magka baby, dami ko medicines and ang mamahal pa and hirap din ako mag buntis as in bed rest talaga 4x ako na confined before I gave birth. But for now tutok kami sa only child namin, hinde pa namin naisip sundan. Like other sister here financially kasi like namin ni hubby na mabigay lahat ng needs nya and if kaya namin mabigay ibang wants nya like material things. No. 1 is pag aaral nya, like namin mapag aralan cia sa maayos na school but if madadagdagan cia baka hinde namin kayanin ibigay sa kanilang dalawa ang gusto namin gawin sa first daughter namin. Plan namin sundan siguro kapag naka pagmigrate na kami :)

i have a 3 year old daugther and like most cases here kaya kung financially stable e ok lang na mag anak uli.

ever since like ko sana madami anak mga 4 but sa hirap ng buhay kahit 2 lang 1 boy 1 girl ok na.

im once chatting with a friend she's canadian and she asked me when am i planning to have another one
i told her that well not now since we're not yet that financially stable..she answered " no one really is financially stable for a kid"

and it hit me na...oo nga naman wala naman talaga financially ready for kids but we are doing everything we can so

sakin, ok lang 1 kid basta mabibigay ko the best quality of life. kesa dami ko ngang anak pero surviving lang kami. binigyan ko nga ng buhay, pinahirapan ko naman habang nabubuhay.

It really irritates me when other people approach us to ask "hindi nyo pa ba susundan yan?" or will say "dapat gawan nyo na ng kapatid para hindi maging spoiled". Seriously? 'Gagawa' talaga para lang hindi maging spoiled ang bata? In the first place, I don't consider my almost 4-year old spoiled. She's just like any other kid who pouts when she doesn't get what she wants, pero hindi naman sya super nagwawala. Na para bang yung other kid eh 'tool' lang to achieve a means? I just answer with "mahirap po ang buhay ngayon", dahil totoo naman. it's not like pagkapanganak mo, tapos na ang duties mo bilang magulang. hubby and I are living independently, we have our own place, we pay our own bills - in short, walang 'sasalo' sa mga family expenses so we have to be very very smart in matters like this. having another kid is a huge responsibility, and you really have to be ready for the baby, not only financially, but also psychologically and emotionally - and I don't think we're at that point yet na ready na kami.

I personally want to have another child, I want two kids din sana. Pero siguro in 3 years time pa, by the time my daughter's seven, she'll be ready na to be a real 'Ate' figure to her sibling. Hindi na sya 'alagain'. And like I told my hubby, let's stabilize our finances muna, he wants to start a business din kasi, so I told him, simulan muna natin yon, bigyan natin ng room to grow, and then we can consider another child. Para naman wala kaming 'what-ifs' or 'sana nagawa namin 'to, nagawa namin 'yan' in terms of putting up a business. saka yun din, siempre we want to provide for the other child what we were able to provide to my eldest - and that takes some careful financial planning. :)
