accdg to our derma, puede lagyan ng bactroban even it is open wound. during that time na nagopen wound na impetigo ng daughter ko, she recommended to continue applying the bactroban hanggang maclear na [textspeak!] sugat. The augmentin suspension intake, instructions are indicated sa box once bumili ka ng aaugmentin, augmentin is recommended til 10days of use. once naubos na ito, bactroban na lang ang ituloy mo sa mamaso. doctors clinic in medical city are only open fm monday to sat.

bactroban ointment is best applied on open wounds. kasi nga the infection is residing just underneath the dermis.
so kung nag-open na ang wound, you can think that you're applying the ointment right on the culprit

patay agad yang bacteria na yan! i use it even on wounds of my kids na may nana, kahit hindi caused ng mamaso

just a very small amount lang to be safe

Naku.. ang anak ko.. nagkakaroon din nyan.. sabi ng kapitbahay namin mamaso nga daw... sabi ko ke hubby pa check-up ayaw naman niya at bumili instead ng antibiotic.. nung umiinom pa siya antibiotic kala ko pagaling na kasi medyo natuyo naman mga sugat niya sa ulo.. kaso now sa leeg naman dumami.. parang robot na anak ko at ayaw magpaligo... gumugulong talaga siya.. masakit ata magalaw yung mga bukol.. bukas ipa check up ko siya.. ayaw naman magbigay ng Mercury ng walang reseta kasi antibiotic daw at bata ang gagamit..

Would you know how different an impego is from scabies?
My baby girl 2.2yo started getting insect bites marks on her forearm november, i am not sure those weren't mosquito bites, so i was thinking maybe ants or another kind of bed/house insect, the dark marks eventually faded and disappear after about a month or two. But then recently, just last month, she started getting ala-insect bites marks on her torso, and thighs---the body parts that are mostly hidden. I initially though of the foods she ate--baka food allergy, im so sure not the toiletries, and the detergents. Tapos continuos pa din nagkakaroon ng tiny red dot, tapos it will eventually get big about 10cents size, then it will leave a dark mark (it looks like a healed bulutong mark, flat naman sya). And hindi sya nagtutubig tubig, nagkakasugat lang if she scratched it w/o my supervision. Now she has about 12 red and healed dark marks on her body/thighs.
I brought her to a derma (not pediatric though) today. He thinks it is scabies, and prescribes kwell  lotion for the body, erythromycin and betamethasone to apply.  I am still not sure kung scabies ba ito, dahil hindi naman nangangati yung anak ko, it's normal to scratch it once in a while, pero di naman sya yung super kamot to death. He also prescribed Virlix, pero di naman nangangati si baby girl.
Now ko lang na encounter this mamaso skin disorder upon reading here.

I agree bactroban works well with Mamaso and other wounds, ang bilis gumaling ng anak ko as in 2-3days lang, tuyo na mamaso nya na parang size na ng piso pati yung sa face nya. effective din kapag nagkarashes bigla sa pwet due to nababad na diapers.

my son was diagnosed din ng ganito nung tuesday lang.  he was taking antibiotics right now and triderm cream yung prescribed nya. so far ok naman, kasi nagstop na yung paglaki nung sugat at di naman kumalat..hopefully by sat, when we turn back to dra mag ok na siya.

i thought at first, simpleng sugat lang, good thing naisipan ko dalin na siya sa pedia nya, kasi ang nakakasad, sa may chin part siya nagkaroon..

Girls & cool mamas, can anyone enlighten me?

3 or 4 days ago I had 2 odd-looking bites on my torso which I thought at first was from a mosquito or cockroach.. its very itchy every now and then but I never scratched them.. then it started developing a scab.. :c I showed it to my boyfriend's mama and she told me it was talipaso.. because it looks like a burn from a cigarette butt.. its viral daw.. then I asked my mom about it, she said it was some form of shingles.. nalilito na po ako.. and there's not much info I can see online about this condition. I'm 24 years old and I had a bout of shingles too when I was 17, my talipaso now doesnt look anything like my shingles before which were like insy-winsy chicken pox.. HELP? I need more information before I go to a doctor.. I dont wanna get misdiagnosed.. HELP.. HELP.. HELP..

It looked like a mosquito bite On the 1st week, the dried skin grew bigger on the 2nd week.  Neighbor said it's mamaso and kids has it during summer.  Good thing I looked at his back today, its as big as 25 cents on its 15th day.  I searched mamaso on the net and found this forum... so glad I did, went to buy bactroban tonight pagkabasa ko n bacteria cause nito,  buti na lang open pa mercury drug ng past 9.  Hopefully gagaling na 7 mos baby ko dahil 2nd red circle is starting.  Thanks sa mga nagshare.
Also, dun sa nagask about scabies, it look like a dry small bungang araw, not reddish.  This is viral so pachk up agad sa very good derma, mabilis makahawa.  Hubby got this whenhe went to divisoria, nahawa ako sa kanya.  Derma in the US scraped a portion of the affected skin, kita sa microscope yung microorganisms, sumusuot yun underneath the skin.  Don't just use any ointment. Go to your dr, I used mine for 3 nights as pres ribed kc it can cause infertility. Dr to me to change blanket and bed cover in the morning, wash everything in hot water.  Lahat ng ma brush sa affected part pwedeng mahawa.

I have 3 kids. Eldest is 4.  Meron ding ganito ang mga kids ko.  Isa isa sila nagkaroon. At hindi lang iisa, madami. After gumaling ng isa kong anak, [textspeak!] isa naman.  Right now meron [textspeak!] baby ko 1.6 year old.  Tapos ako naman, meron sa siko.  Ngayon ko lang napagtanto na Mamaso ito after reading this forum. Akala ko kagat lang ng lamok.  Pasaway ang bacteria na ito.  Mapupuno kami ng peklat.  I will try Bactroban tomorrow.  Sana effective samin.

Share ko lang din po.. Last January of this year po nakaroon [textspeak!] 2.5yrs na anak ko ng mamaso. kumalat sa buong gitna ng nose niya. kung di pa nakita ng mama ko di ko malalaman na  mamaso un pero after ilang days ko siya dalhin sa Pedia e nagkasakit siya ng Acute-gastro so na-ospital siya ng 3days due to excessive vomiting. Then sinabay na din ng pedia niya [textspeak!] pagtuturok ng antibiotic sa kanya then ang bilis natuyo. Buti na lang walang peklat kasi nose un e.. gitna ng face... kaso eto na naman ngayon, meron na naman siya sa dalawang gilid ng bibig. Ngaun 3.3yrs old na cia... sabi nga niya baka daw mapunit [textspeak!] mouth niya tulad ni Joker (Batman's Villain).

Bakit ba kasi nauso ang mamaso?! nakakaawa kasi ngayon bawal siya magKiss sa baby sister niya kasi baka mahawa...

my baby had this last week.  it was heartbreaking to see his back with impetigo.

the pedia prescribed the ff for 7 days both oral and topical:
1.  after bath (AM and PM), clean the affected area with agua oxinada (im not sure exactly.  bought it in mercury)
2.  after cleaning the wound, apply the bacti-free ointment.
3.  also he had to take oral antibiotics every 8hours.  clindamycin. 

super baho nung antibiotics nya.

nawala naman impetigo nya.  but the scars area there.  maputi yung baby ko eh.  pero sa likod nya tuloy parang may mga balat sya.  discoloration ang nangyari.

mga sis ako pag may concern kay baby about sa skin niya pag may mga kagat or kati kati i go to the derma dun ko siya muna pinapacheck hindi sa pedia niya feeling ko kase mas alam nila yung about sa skin eh mas forte nila yun.

ako naman ok lang sa pedia ng baby ko kasi he specializes also in infectious diseases.  anyways,  so if incase he doesnt specialize on some other concerns, thats when he refers us to other doctors.

weird lang, my hubby brought baby to batangas to see my inlaws.  alam na alam ng mga inlaws ko ang mamaso and hindi sila na shock.  well apparently siguro eh normal lang sa kanila makakita ng ganun sa bata.  hindi gaya ko and my parents na hindi alam what that was.

My one year old son has mamaso.. Nagulat na lang ako nung tuesday nung nakita ko sa braso nya sa malapit sa kilikili na parang may blister.. Parang paso ng cigarette pero maliit lang.. Super na bother ako kasi di ko alam kung san nya nakuha... Lahat na yata ng gilid gilid ng gamit nya chineck ko... Stroller, crib, high chair... Sobrang guilty ako na nagkasugat sya ng diko namamalayan... Nilagyan ko ng betadine, the next day, nilagyan ko ulit. Pero nung ika 3rd day nagulat ako bakit parang lumalaki... Kaya nag decide na ko na ipatingin sa pedia. Si hubby lang ang nagdala... Nung una diko pa maintindihan kung ano, kasi di daw ma pronounce ni hubby yung sinabi ni doc... Eh nag research nako sa internet,,, so ang pinaka malapit eh yung mamaso.. Nung sinabi ko kay hubby eh yun nga daw...

Ang binigay daw ni doc antibiotic lang, cefalaxin.. Dina daw dadami kasi maaagapan.. Pero super bother pa din ako.. Ang laki kasi na sya to think na in a span of 4 days [textspeak!]. Ive decided to put ointment,, bactroban.. Tinanong ko naman sa doktor na friend ko, ok naman daw. Nabasa ko din dito sa GT.

Mga mommies, gano katagal bago gumaling ang babies nyo? Do you have pics...? Pa share naman... Sobrang adik lang ako na mommy, hehe parang maloloka na ko pag tinitingnan ko sugat nya... Buti na lang baby ko malakas ang tolerance sa pain... Ni hindi sya umiiyak... Tapos kanina, nakita ko may parang isang spot pa na patubo. Pinahiran ko agad ng bactroban. Kinuhanan ko din ng pics sugat nya from day 1.. Hay... Nakakaloka! Nilalagyan ko pa ng calamansi pang paligo nya everyday para gumanda ang kutis tapos tutubo pa to... San kaya nakukuha yun? Yung yaya nya kasi uwiAn sa kanila... May 4 yo na anak... Baka kaya dun nya nakiuha..
