FACEBOOK Thread II

^This year, someone has suggested that we women should do something special on facebook in order to increase awareness of October Breast Cancer Awareness month (even if this does not directly relate to collecting for cancer research). It's so easy to do, that I'd love you to join in to make this a memorable online event.

Last year, the idea was to post the colour of the bra you were wearing on facebook...and it left men wondering for days, why women were posting colours, seemingly at random.

This year's game has to do with your handbag/purse, where we put our handbag the moment we get home; for example "I like it on the couch", "I like it on the kitchen counter", "I like it on the dresser". Well u get the idea. Just put your answer as your status (i.e. don't respond to this message, but put it on your status) - and cut n paste this message and forward to all your FB female friends to their inbox.

The bra game made it to the news. Let's get the purse in as well and see how powerful we women really are!!!

my applications setting at the  drop down arrow in accounts tab is missing..... i'm sure na meron nito dati, ngayon di ko siya makita.... help naman... nagloloko yung pag view ko sa mga pics... para siyang naka slide show na may black background.....huhuhu

^ I think binago talaga nila yung pag-view ng pics, mala-slideshow nga. I don't know much about the app settings since I don't play games but just browse the account settings and privacy settings, I'm sure may lalabas dun.

i tried to browse my own account, yung pag view ko ng pics is still the same old viewing, pero yung sa hubby ko na ako ng nagmamaintain, yun ang naka slide show na pics, that happened last week na and i was able to edit it thru the apps settings nga... now nung tina try ko na uli ayusin, missing na ang apps settings haizzzzz....

Hello mga sis, one my not-so-friend in FB made a group, probably mga close friends niya, she included me and husband. And then one time she said hello sa chat group. I was online then, online lang ako for my family group (and offline to rest of my fb friends), hindi ko siya sinagot. Can she view me as online though? meron bang privacy settings for groups? anyone tried it yet?

click mo muna yung word na Chat on the lower right corner then you will see a white and green button that looks like a tablet click mo then yun lang off ka na. you can't do this when you use pop out chat only in pop in chat.

click their account/visit their profile. pag di mo makita yung word na Wall sa profile that means naka customize yung privacy settings nila to you or group.

There are three types of content on your Wall, and you can control who can see them by following the instructions below.

Posts your friends leave.
Posts, comments, and other things your friends leave on your Wall are controlled by a group of settings in the "Sharing on Facebook" section on the Privacy Settings page. To adjust these settings individually, follow the "Customize settings" link and scroll down to the "Things others share" section.

Posts you create.
Status updates, photos, links and other things you post are controlled by the "Posts by Me" setting in the "Sharing on Facebook" section on the Privacy Settings page. Follow the "Customize settings" link to adjust this setting individually. Keep in mind the "Posts by Me" setting is a just default for things you post. You always have the option to adjust the privacy for individual posts before you share them by clicking the lock icon directly from the Publisher.

Recent Activity.
These stories are determined by the privacy setting of the content itself. For example, if someone would already be permitted to see a particular photo and comments, then they would also be able to see the Recent Activity story about you making a comment on the photo. While you cannot completely turn off recent activity stories, you can remove a particular story by clicking the "Remove" button that appears to the right of the story after you move your mouse over it.

^how did you do that sis? yung online ka lang sa isang group but offline sa iba?

Sis, sa 'edit friends' mo, click 'create a list', let's say FAMILY, add mo mga family members mo or mga taong very close sa iyo. Then make another list for BFFs, FRIENDS, WORK etc. Then sa right corner sa Chat, you'll see those groups, and since gusto mo lang online sa family mo, click mo maliit na gray bar next to Family group, it will turn green - that means online ka na sa kanila, and the rest of the groups offline ka. And if you want to be online to another group, just click that little bar.
