Best places to eat at Tagaytay

^oo sis name ng resto. Style nila yun bang kubo2x kaya matutuwa mga bata mayroon na sa tagaytay at meron rin sa may silang katabi lang nun robinson's.

@purpleish, haha panghimagas is dessert sis sa taal vista kami kasi paborito ng anak ko yun place kaya ok na rin magbuko halo2x or kape dun. Usually may halo2x buffet dun pero nitong mga nakaraan na punta namin walang halo2x na buffet. Sarap pala ng lugar nyo

Mga sis may question ulit ako sa Antonio's sa mga nakakain na doon.

Mabubusog ba kami sa serving size nila? I mean, nakakain na ako sa isang french influenced restaurants na parang 4 subo lang yung entree, 3 higop lang yung soup. Nakapag reserve na kasi ako, im just expecting na masarap, di ko lang alam kung uuwi kaming busog.

My friends and I, together with our kids, had a fun lunch at Taal Vista.  I must say that this is a very child-friendly place.  Kudos to the head chef who asked one of the junior chefs to prepare a simple tomato-based pasta for my kids who did not want anything from the buffet.  We did not get charged for it.  Filipino favorites kasi ang theme ng buffet.

Masarap the lechon baka (but oh so sinful!), pastel de lengua, fresh lumpia, pako salad and baked mahi-mahi fish.  I enjoyed the halo-halo too.

The staff were so accommodating.  After lunch at the main restaurant, we wanted to have coffee at the lobby lounge.  They served us coffee and tea and we even got dessert (puto, mango ice box cake, ube halaya etc.) from the buffet well until past 2:30 pm.  We enjoyed just hanging out there and more importantly, nag-enjoy ang mga kids namin.

@purpleish, marami kasi pag sinabing himagas d alam meaning parang arnibal, kusilba mga ganyan ba anyway, less than 300 pesos ang tanda ko sa halo2x buffet nila. Summer last year ang huli ko na tikim nun (usually every summer meron nun).

Gusto namin itry ang memory lane malayo ba masyado from the highway yun lugar na yun? Nabasa ko dito na masarap rin naman food dun.

^ah yung Memory Lane?? malapit lang yun sa main highway. nadadaanan namin yun on the way to Tagaytay Wingate Manor, dun kasi kami nag-stay noon. Wingate Manor is less than 1.5km from the main highway, less than 5mins drive kasi may kotse kami. so kung may kotse kayo, malapit lang yang Memory Lane (along Magallanes Drive).

although sis, nabasa ko sa "Our Awesome Planet" blog na hindi masyadong impressive yung food... i also read one review here in GT na so-so lang ang food dun. medyo mixed reviews kasi there are a few na nasarapan. pero there's no doubt na maganda yung interiors and exteriors nung place, pero yung food medyo doubtful.

^sobrang dami ng kumakain dyan sis. Past 1pm na dami pa rin nakapila. I guess ok kasi pang 8th kami last time ( d ko kaya maghintay ng ganun para lang kumain) almost 1:30 na yun. Chaotic ang dating sa akin nga lang, d ko type ganun na meal.

Antonio's Grill  is a hands-down winner for me.The serving sizes are big.We went there (me,hubs,baby and nanny) and I think we ordered a but much.We had grilled salmon,ginataang munggo with langka,paksiw na bangus.I haven't tried the Antonio's per se but I'm happy with the grill restaurant.

^ Antonio's Grill is where we usually treat our balikbayan guests who crave Filipino food.  I love the paksiw na bangus!  I only eat this dish there.

na try kuna yung Rowena's Buko Pie ...waaahhhh walang lasa?? ang tabang-tabang, nung pag cut ko hindi ko alam kung bakit parang may syrup sa ilalim kaya ang lambot nung crust sa ilalim... halos hindi ko matikman na buko pala yun... sinerve ko pa naman kanina sa bisita namen hhaayyzzz...

tama nga yung recommend saken ng isang ka sis naten (sis alona) ... mas masarap talaga yung Lou Mars Buko Pie ... mainit pa yung buko pie, mas malasa, tamang tamis lang na hindi nakakaumay, at masarap yung crust ...

maski yung mga tarts, mas masarap pa den sa Lou Mars...

^ I'm a big fan ever since I was aware of buko pie as a kid from Colette's. I have never had any other version of it.Na-curious tuloy ako sa Lou Mar's.

^^ I love the honest simplicity of their food.Between this and Abe's , Antonio's is better by  a thousand miles. Masyado oily food ng Abe's.Excited pa naman ako kumain doon kasi I've read so many rave reviews about "where to bring balikbayans". Crisostomo's would also be a good place for me.

^ next time order ako ulit sis nung Colette's, hindi kuna kasi matandaan ang lasa nun para ma-compare sa Lou Mars... yung Lou Mars tapat lang siya ng Andoks sa highway along Olivarez, easy to find lang...

^inggit much, mag-ipon na kaya ako ngayun pa lang para sa anniv namin ni hubby sa August  si hubby kase kase mas type mag overnight sa Tagaytay Hotel then buffet breakfast, mukhang next time need ko isama ang Antonio's sa dinner, dagdag budget din

may employee discount pa nga kami dun gawa ng brother ko, nasa Breakfast@Antonio's na nga lang sya ngayun...hehe
