Hi guys, would you know where I could fine the list of those who passed the NMAT? TIA!

uhm.. i'm not so sure kung may list na nire-release but the results are individually sent by mail to the addresses of the participants. nakalagay dun yung breakdown of scores, percentile. there's no passing rate in NMAT. my specific cut-off NMAT rates ang iba't ibang different medical schools. so, it's up to the aspiring medical student to "make it or break it" dun sa target medical school nya.

matagal talaga ang USMLE. from step 1 to step 3 (or at least hanggang step 2 CS) it will take up 2 years (it could be more) starting from your reviews, exam scheduling, completion of needed papers, interviews, observership and eventually the match. most have been successful, while some have been unfortunate that they end up having their residency here instead. USMLE is not the answer.

hi ladies! i need your help. my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago. she has undergone the usual chemo and radiation therapies. she has been cleared so far, thank god.

she is currently taking tamoxifen (pharmachemie). we used to get directly from the distributor/medrep kasi ang laki ng difference in price even with the senior citizen discount. unfortunately, the distributor (marketlink) no longer carries the brand. lately the tamoxifen brand has been out of stock in the province.

would you know of a medrep who carries this brand? appreciate it if you could refer me. sa brand lang na to kasi hiyang ang nanay ko and we'd hate for her to miss her meds. sayang naman, she's come a long way to recovery.

^^ yeah neuroanatomy is hard. my friend had this neuroanatomy coloring book which he was so fond of. color dito color doon. iba iba color sa iba ibang spinal tracts. sa una nakakatawa. pero in fairness he understood neuroana. LOL. sa med school naman it doesn't matter how you learn it as long as you learn. it doesn't matter how you remember things as long as you remember.

all med schools offer scholarships. each school have their own requirements, including sa grades. you can ask them.

oh God. 3 St. Lukes 4th year medical students died this morning. Clinic fire in Nueva Ecija, they were on their community rotation.

2 of them were my UPM Bio classmates T_T they died 1 month before med school. graduation. 

@Vain Jane: sis  try Pinoy MD, First Gentleman scholarship (for 4th year and interns lang ata ito though), etc. Actually marami sya, I saw a brochure before, they apply to public med schools ata.

i agree with sis bleuskymd, all med schools offer scholarship naman, just ask them =) you'll have more luck with government med schools though ^_^

^ yeah I heard about that from my friend in St. Lukes. There is only one survivor and is presently in the ICU. Grabe. This must really be painful for their families. Life is indeed short and for some people it's even shorter.

Yeah I believe that all schools have scholars naman.  Bragging rights kasi yan pagdating ng board exams. Importante ang scholars lalo na para sa mga small med schools, new med schools and mga trying hard to survive med schools (sorry for the words).  Pero even UST has a lot of scholars. Bukod sa scholars na funded by the school meron din scholars funded by private individuals/foundations/pharmaceutical companies and other organizations. Just check out the website. Ang St. Lukes daw majority ng first years eh scholar. Kahit na konti lang population nila. Ewan ko lang kung gino-good time ako ng friend ko or what. LOL.

teka, are those who died 4th year medical students (aka clerks), or interns na (5th year medical students) since you said they're graduating in 1 month?

St. Luke College of Medicine has a 5-year curriculum - internship is included; just like in UP College of Medicine. as for the rest of med schools, 4 years lang (meaning hanggang clerkship lang). internship is taken after graduation.

i'm not surprised kung dumarami ang scholars. i don't think na ginu-good time ka lang ng friend mo. tuition fee is so expensive nowadays. probably they're finding ways to lessen the financial burdens of doing to med school.
