hay. dapat kasi grad na talaga ako this coming march. 

i was diagnosed with ovarian cancer January of first year. So I had to repeat the whole year. nakakainis talaga.

medyo nakakapagod lang minsan talaga diba sis icegurl. minsan 4hours na pinakamatagal kong tulog  hindi complete ang beauty sleep ko 

The doctors bash your presentations/reports pa, which you've slaved for several days. Sa residency, ganoon raw araw-araw diba, ipapahiya ka everyday =(

sana sa radiology hindi ganoon 

tapos no time pa for Girltalk hehe.

doktoras, any idea on how clerkship is at ust?    i'm planning kasi to take my first step MLE at clerkship since wala na yung usual na exams everyday...di ko alam kung kaya..

Di kaya sis. Walang gumagawa nyan pag clerkship sa uste.  Take it after the phil boards. Yun ang usual pattern.

Just focus on the revalida first.

hahaha! challenge ba yan? actually since grade 1 gusto ko na maging doctor. i really want it. matagal nga lang, pero ok na yun. di ko alam, wala na yata akong plan B kasi kahit parents and relatives ko suportado ako sa pangarap kong to. waha! advice naman dyan.

saka mahirap mag plan B sa course ko, marami kasi nag gegeneralize na walang trabaho after bio pag di nagdoctor. hehe!

^ You have to ask yourself kung yun talaga ang dream mo. Kung yan talaga ang passion mo. Kung yan talaga yung sinisigaw ng puso mo na gagawin mo for the rest of your life. If you cant imagine yourself elsewhere doing a different job, being in another profession then go for it. Gusto mo bang maging frustrated doctor all your life? Pero kailangan handa kang mag-aral hanggang masuka ka. Kasi nakakasuka talaga. Tsaka masakit sa katawan ha. Magpuyat at mag-aral habang nagpupuyat. Lalo na kung nagduduty na. Dagdagan mo pa ng hospital politics. Yan ang pinakamasakit actually yang hospital politics. Kaya marami ang nag usmle. Kung sabagay maganda magmedicine ngayon kasi wala na masyado nagdodoctor dahil nagnursing na silang lahat. LOL.

^ah, thanks sis. sana nga makayanan ko yun. kung makakapasok sa med school. hehe nakakasuka nga siguro mag aral. pero sana maka-survive ako. paano yung hospital politics?

^ Hospital politics - palakasan. Minsan di ka makakapasok sa specialty at hospital na gusto mo dahil sa palakasan. Minsan di ka din basta basta makakapractice sa isang hospital dahil sa palakasan. Minsan makapagpractice ka man limited scope lang dahil may mga procedures na binabakuran ng ibang consultant. Minsan naman gagawin kang dakilang reliever ng senior consultants and you get underpaid. Mahirap explain. You have to be inside the hospital to understand.

Kung hindi ka magmemedicine eto ang pwede mong gawin:

1) Mag med rep - ok to if you are gorgeous (am sure you are), bolera and witty enough to get into a big time pharmaceutical company.  I have classmates who became med reps after quitting med school or after they got kicked out of med school. OK naman life nila especially if they get into really big pharma companies.

2) Maging stewardess - meron akong batchmate in bio na pinasok to. OK din to.

3) Take nursing as a second course

4) Mag masters ng biology - meron sa DLSU taft and UP. Pwede ka magturo afterwards or go into research or mag abroad.

5) Mag culinary - uso naman to di ba

6) Mag business

7) Mag asawa ng doctor para kahit di mo naaccomplish yung dream mo at least md yung hubby mo. LOL. O sya tama na at baka ano pa idagdag ko.

Basta kung meron akong isang advice eto yon : follow your passion, follow your heart. Si God nagbigay sa atin ng different gifts and talents. Kung asa medicine yung puso mo dun ka. Para sa kin hindi yan tumubo dyan ng walang dahilan. It's a gift. Parang attraction yan e. Di naman lahat ng tao naaattract to the same person di ba. What is attractive to you may not be attractive to the person beside you. It is there for a reason. Isipin mo na lang swerte ka kasi supportive ang family mo sa pagmemedicine mo. That is a great blessing in itself. Use it. Wag sayangin. Madami gustong mag med pero walang support from family. Pero in the end of course it is your choice. Kung san ka masaya dun ka.

^thanks sis. hopefully, my tito is a doctor pati wife niya and son. ang alam ko malaki na investment nila sa hospital and may position yata siya (based sa naririnig kong kwentuhan) sana makatulong sila sa akin though i know mali yun. hehe! he was always asking me about my plan. siguro he's willing to help or kung di man, hingi na rin ako advice KUNG makakapasok ako med school at KUNG magiging doctor ako. haha!

goodluck din sa mga sis dito! may mga kilala din ako super yaman na because of bio na hindi nag doctor kaso naman, super tatalino naman yata kasi nila.. hehe! di ko reach yun. more power to all! and merry christmas!

Medical Therapeutics I will conquer you  rar.

Isipin mo na lang swerte ka kasi supportive ang family mo sa pagmemedicine mo. That is a great blessing in itself. Use it. Wag sayangin. Madami gustong mag med pero walang support from family. Pero in the end of course it is your choice. Kung san ka masaya dun ka.

 me too! I wanna go to med school but I'm still thinking it through kasi baka later on, maiisip ko na I was just lured by the 'idea' of being a doctor and not the profession itself.

sa experience ko, mhirap tlaga ang academic part ng medicine... yung exams and reports. Pero mas mahirap pag training na starting from clerkship, pagod tlaga kasi habang duty, mag-aaral ka din and gagawa ng reports tapos ipapahiya ka pa ng residents and or consultants sa harap ng patients. A sa clerkhip ko lang natutunan na kahit nakaupo at khit sa pinagdugtong dugtong lang na upuan puwede na matulog

^ ako nakatulog ako ng nakatayo nung clerkship habang nakasandal sa may pinto habang nagrounds ng pasyente na malapit sa pinto ang bed. buti di napansin ng residente. LOL.
