What vitamins/supplements do you give your dogs?

^^^ thank you so much abuanddiego re naman sa food, literal dog food lang pinapakain sakanya.. yun lang talaga. yung dog food pa na yun daddy ko ang bumibili. e etong tatay ko naman syempre oldie na kaya kuripot so ang binibili niya dog food from s&r lang.. okay lang ba yun sis? or need ko palitan? actually di ko alam brand hung dog food na gun i will check mamaya

@abuanddiego nung recent visit namin sa vet (Dec 23), 1.2kg yung weight niya.

Actually ang recommended dose nung vet is 1ml to 2.5ml ng Papi. Ako lang yung 0.5ml. =P Pero gawin ko na 1ml or 2.5ml everyday siguro hanggang mag-gain lang ng weight.

Yung sa food naman nung 1st 2 weeks sinusunod ko lang yung nakalagay sa package ng Acana na 1/3 cup/day. Pero since sabi ng vet dagdagan ang food nasa almost 1/2 cup/day na. Hinahati ko yun 3 times a day.

Just Fish oil and Vitamin e for her skin problems. Supposedly if you feed good quality dog food you won't need any other supplements.  I feed Orijen LB Puppy and Acana Duck and Pear.

blazingsheena, check mo sis ang ingredients, things to avoid: corn, soy, wheat, by-products, animal fats, preservatives. it should have human-grade meat and other ingredients, basta when you read it pwedeng kainin haha!

gelav, adjust mo na lang sis yung dosage and cup pag feeling mo walang effect sa kanya. my shihtzu eats around 1-1 1/2cup per day, pag homecooked mas marami.

Tumataba na si Khaleesi. =) Nadagdagan na siya ng 200 grams in 2 weeks. =) Nakatulong talaga yun pag switch sa Acana at pagdagdag ng Papi Multivitamis sa diet niya. Nung nakuha namin siya from the breeder less than 1.2kg lang siya eh. =( Sana magtuloy-tuloy na ang pag-gain niya ng weight. =)

^keep us updated with your pup. yes pwedeng sabay, but pwedeng ayawan nya yung fish oil. most dogs ayaw yan niluluwa bec. of the fishy taste hehe, iniipit ko pa yan sa meat para kainin ng mga shih tzus ko.

Ang pinapainom namin ay Angel Drops Doggymin syrup na bigay ng veterinarian. All around vitamin na siya at pwede sa puppies namin  Gumana kumain yung nagtatampo naming aso.

has anyone tried giving their dogs VCO? i read somewhere kasi na good din daw siya for their skin. my chow kasi nawalan ng fur yung leg nya sa kakakagat. makati kasi. nabasa ko you can put VCO on the skin daw. wanna try sana.

san pala kayo bumibili ng fish oil? okay ba talaga sya? so far kasi LC Vit lang binibigay ko. kaso concern ko yung skin niya. nagkaron kc sya ng ticks so most likely dahil dun yung pangangati niya. kawawa naman. will fish oil help ba? what brand do you use?

^yup maganda rin ang vco sa skin and overall health, aside from fish oil isa ito sa mga natural supplements na good for dogs.

i buy ATC fish oil sa groceries, fish oil contains omega 3, very good ito for the skin, coat and allergies kasi anti-inflammatory siya so it reduces itch and redness. ito ang first aid namin pag may allergy kami, within days lang gumagaling agad. i suggest to give it daily kasi yung diet nila is rich in omega 6, from animal fat, this causes inflammation so to balance out the omegas, we need to supply omega 3.

^welcome! fish oil capsule-oral, vco both oral and external pwede. i suggest na isa lang muna try mo to see the full benefits of one supplement tsaka para madali rin malaman kung may negative reaction. wait for a month or two for the results

Wow, this is a very helpful thread. I have 5 dogs (1 is with my parents) and never once did the vet mention yung Raffavit as vitamins and appetite enhancer. Last time yung pom ko na pihikan sa food ang binigay pa eh Mosigor pero magana lang nung umiinom pa ng vitamins. After that, maarte na naman hahaha

Currently I'm giving my dogs Tikitiki and Probiotics. Yung probiotics kapag medyo stress or nagloose yung stool. Will try giving them Raffavit and Fish oil next tee hee!

^we were given mosegor/pizotifen maleate din before. LC vit ang unang inadvice pero almost 2mos na wala pa rin effect. so sabi ni doc baka psychological, baka naspoil ko daw since lagi kami magkasama. my shih tzu is a picky eater, kahit ipagluto ko madali magsawa. so binigyan na sya ng mosegor at nagtry kami ng raffavit ayun within days biglang tumakaw. pero yung mosegor is for extreme cases na kasi for recovering patients or anorexics, hindi sya pwede forever, for 2 weeks lang sya pwede gamitin. Raffavit is a natural supplement kaya mas safe sya for daily and longtime use. Been using it for more than 2 years na. I'm a fan or organic/natural products kaya love ko itong raffavit hehe.

Yup maganda rin ang probiotics for their gut, it can help them pag biglang lambot ang poop.

Just bought ATC fish oil. Hahatian ko ang puppy ko. Will try it din kasi it's good for the heart and blood circulation daw. Binigyan ko siya kanina okay naman. Hindi naman niluwa.

Sis abu, thank you! Tama ka two weeks lang after nun tinigil yung mosigor ayun balik arte sa pagkain nung pom ko. It's a good thing nabasa ko yung raffavit dito, bought one kanina and I gave him 3ML so tignan ko kung gagana sa kanya. Hopefully tumakaw na ito. I'm also thinking of giving the same to my baby boy tzu. Actually sya naman eh kumakain naman pero maarte lang tlaga minsan. Pag trip nya ulam kain sya, but sometimes he would skip meals. Bigyan ko kaya sya or baka naman maging PG? 

Speaking of my baby boy tzu named Cloud, sya yung nagkakapimples sa tummy pag kumakain ng chicken. We went to the vet and they said na mahina daw ang immune system. I'm thinking of giving him fish oil. Haven't had the chance to Watsons or the grocery, pero we have VCO at home na iniinom din namin. Pwede ko ba sya bigyan nito? If ever, how much should I give him? He's around 6.27 kilos.
