Mary Higgins Clark's Books

Hi sisses, I'm a fan and a collector of the books Mary Higgins Clark wrote. All my passion for wanting to read and finish everything she wrote started with Daddy's Little Girl.

It's an amazing thing that a book like Daddy's Little Girl kept me hooked and wondering who the suspect was, and made me root for the families and relationships destroyed. For me, Mary Higgins Clark writes books as if they were the real thing, and her twists and plots are so cool! Each book has a different take and will leave you satisfied after you have read it from page one to the last.

So currently, here's a list of what I've read, I've bought it all from Powerbooks Megamall:

1. Daddy's Little Girl
2. Where Are You Now?
3. I Heard that Song Before

So sisses, please do share all the books by MHC that you've read and enjoyed, and where you bought it so that others can know where to buy that book. Hoping for your replies! TIA!

I've also recently discovered her books, i bought 3 books to try out online.

-all around town (about multiple personality disorder)
-pretend you dont see her (witness protection program)
-stillwatch (reporter discovering dangerous facts)

i like the first 2, i read it within a day or two.. the third one hindi ko gusto parang its such a small world naman for things to connect that way hehe i didn't even finish it, just browsed through and read the ending lol but overall okay naman sya.. i would read more of her books.. pero sidney sheldon parin the best when it comes this genre

^i bought them all online, sa isang forum din na for cebuanos (i'm from cebu). i lent All Around Town to my officemate and she liked it so also bought MHC's books at Book Sale yesterday. I'll be borrowing them after she finishes reading and I'll post my feedback here

I highly recommend Sidney Sheldon sis, he has the kind of book which i simply could not put down.. i have to finish it in one sitting..

i have read "all around the town". Ganda nga. about MPD, and it really gives you a view of how childhood trauma can affect one's life afterwards.

Si sidney sheldon naman, i really like how he writes a book, you cant put it down or really skip, because you will miss something. Andami ko nadin nabasa sakanya, way back in grade 5 to high school

Where are the Children - didn't like this much
Stillwatch - it's ok
Silent Night - a Christmas story. liked it.
A Cry in the Night - first MHC book I've read. so-so
Loves Music, Loves to Dance - I liked this one.
While My Pretty One Sleeps - Liked this one too.

So far, I'm hit and miss with Mary Higgins Clark, but even those I didn't like are ok in the sense that I don't want to throw the book against a wall and they will do for passing the time.

For those who prefer Sidney Sheldon, maybe another thread dedicated to him?

Miss naman sakin yung "I Heard That Song Before" ni MHC, parang blah. Wala lang. At least it was a gift from my BF. P300+ din yun eh.

I forgot to mention where I got the books. A couple were from my Dad's Reader's Digest Condensed Books. The rest were from second hand book stores, except for Silent Night which I bought on sale at National Bookstore.

i've read all her books and re-read most of them too. before, when i was still collecting all the books which i haven't read, i would always check booksale or books for less kase lagi sila may stock. now, i go to powerbooks or fully booked to check on her new releases.

Haven't read a Mary Higgins Clark book in ages, but just this morning i had an urge to look for my old copy of While My Pretty One Sleeps. It's pretty good. First read it in a Reader's Digest Condensed Book and liked it so much i looked for the novel na.

i enjoyed reading all her books, that when i saw the box set of the movie version, i bought it. maraming books nya ginawang movies na, although hindi sympre sikat ang mga actors dun. pero nice lang to watch it.

i love her books din! buti na lang madaming second hand sa Booksale branches kaya madami dami na rin ako nababasa. my favorite is All Around Town

isa pa lang nabasa ko sa books niya. yung All Around The Town, about multiple personality disorder. The book intrigued me. Very nice naman siya. I want to read her other books as well.

I also have a long list of Mary Higgins Clark's books. The best for me is Cry in the Night. Di ako pinatulog kasi di ko mababa yung book. Sa booksale lang ako lagi bumibili. Minsan may sale ng MHC's book sa NBS
