Who are qualified to avail of this benefit; Conditions

All women employees in the private sector, regardless of age and civil status, are entitled to special leave benefits, provided she has complied with the following conditions:

She has rendered continuous aggregate employment service of at least 6 months for the last 12 months;
She has filed an application for special leave;
She has undergone surgery due to gynecological disorders as certified by competent physician.
Female employees who have taken a leave of absence following surgery for gynecological disorder or or after 15 September 2009 are entitled to avail of the benefit.

What is gynecological disorders

Gynecologial disorders refer to disorders that would require surgical procedures such as dilatation and curettage and those involving female reproductive organs such as vagina, cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, breast, adnexa and pelvic floor. Gynecological surgeries shall also include hysterectomy, ovariectomy, and mastectomy.

^sis, sa akin hindi siya binigay ng company since ang leave benefit na ni-grant sakin is ML which is 2 months leave, 1 month of it is paid by the company.

 hi sis ysetea! we have the same experience. i have undergone a D&C last sept 9. due to excess bleeding. question, when did you go back to work? initially kasi sabi ni OB, 2weeks of rest lang daw. actually, i'm super fine na. tapos ngayon she refused to give me fit to work certificate because ang D&C daw is 2 months period of rest. i can't be out of work for that long.

hindi din naman ako nagfile sa SSS because first of all I wasn't pregnant naman. Nakokonsensiya kasi ako na I'm super okay naman tapos nakaleave ako.

another thing mga sissies, when should you expect your period after D&C and may nabubuntis ba even before dumating ang period?

sis brattillee, sabi ni OB when I had D&C year 2011, considered na ang first day ng mens is yung araw ng operation, tpos after a month nagkaron na ko. May mga nababasa din ako dito sa GT na hinde na nagmens diretso preggy na pero not advisable daw sabi ni OB kasi may sugat pa ang uterus, kami nun after 6months ang advised.

Sayang naman sis hindi ka nagfile sa SSS, di mo mapapakinabangan ang SSS at yung benefits for women , both for 2 months paid salary. Pwede ka pa yatang magfile as long as naconfine ka ng at least 24 hours at complete ang medical records.

Was D & C din due to excess bleeding (endometrial polyps). Advised to rest for two week, though sa 1 week ko ok na ako.. In two weeks nakabalik na din ako sa work, eh sa fastfood pa ko nagwowork. Worried pa nga ako baka matagtag though sabe ng iba dapat daw two months kase kahit di naman ako buntis, ganun din daw yun. iniiwasan yung binat..

I got my period after 25 days from D & C. Hindi naman ako nabuntis lol nung nag do kame lol

Pero siguro, wag muna mag DO pag kaka D&C palang kase di ba may sugat sa loob baka maikpeksiyon eh..

Thanks for the replies sissies! Wala e. Hindi talaga ako binigyan ni OB fit to work certificate. And my employer refused to accept me without it. No choice.

Endometrial polyp din ako. Hindi na kaya yun babalik? Sabi ni OB maliit na lang yung chance na bumalik pero kapag bumalik daw baka hysterectomy na,kasi hindi ka naman pwedeng i-D&C forever. Scary,sana hindi na bumalik.

With regards to SSS, sickness yung ififile ko tama ba? Kasi I'm not pregnant so hindi pwede yung maternity benefit. Tama ba?

hi sis yes sickness notification esp if wala kang leave credits din.. get copies ng medical history mo sa hosp kasi i attach sa sss form yun..

i had endometrial hyperplasia kaya ako na d&c nung july.. combination ng polyps at thickening ng lining kaya nag excessive bleeding ako for 10 days plus my regular period so 17 days in all..

i was on leave for 1 week then hinay hinay when i got back sa work as bilin ng OBGyne when i had a check up the week after the d&c..

yes bumabalik nga ang polyps.. this was my 3rd d&c since 2009..

yun nga lang i had to see my ob monthly every time i had my period after my d&c.. kasi under medication ako which commences on certain days depending anung date ako nagka period plus the dosage..

my OB said i can go back after 2wks pero ang ginawa ng ofc ko they files it sa SSS...

then after a week i started bleeding again, they gave me hemostan nag stop nman cia pero under observation ako...

then after 6mos im ok n ulit pero nitong August i started bleeding again....if i bleed again this coming October biopsy nko.

sorry sis brattilee hindi ka nga pala nabuntis, hindi kasi ako nagbackread ng madami, my bad! Sickness noti lang sa SSS, at sa pagkakaalam ko cover ka ng benefits for women, yung mga naoperahan regarding repro health is meronn sya 2 months paid leave, magnacarta for women approved by Pnoy, search nyo nalang mga sisses. covered pa yung mga na raspa from 2009 pwede din magclaim. research/ ask muna yung HR.

Kasi I gave the same info sa dati kong company, at nai grant naman ang mga nagclaim. Information lang po kasi sayang din yung 2 months salary kung hindi makukuha from the company.

Thanks sis redgirln! Yup. You're right. I am entitled to magna carta for women saka ko lang nalaman. Should have I known at kung naadvise na ako early on ng hr that there exist such right e di sana hindi na ako namroblema. Yung hr pa kasi nagsabi sa akin na mag sickness benefit. My gosh!

So advise to all those who have undergone and will be undergoing a surgery related to your reproductive system (provided not due to miscarriage), please file for magna carta for women. This is our benefit and we are entitled to 2mos leave WITH pay. Don't be like me at first na shunga. Hehe.

Sis ysetea, oh my! What caused the bleeding? Polyps ulit? Katakot. So bumabalik pala siya talaga. I hope you won't be needing a biopsy this oct.

sis brattillee covered din ang miscarriage sa magnacarta for women, entitled din sa 2 months leave with pay bukod pa sa sss maternity. sis information lang sa iba natin sisses kasi sayang naman kung hindi natin makukuha ang benipisyo natin.

nung ako na-D&C because of miscarriage, hindi ni-grant ng company yung magna carta for women although sinabi ko yan sa HR namin. ang nakuha ko lang yung 2 months from SSS and yung maternity benefit from the company namin which is 2 months leave, 1 month paid by the company.

i was warned by my OB about it.. lalo na kung wala pang 1 yr mag recur ulit.. kaya under medication ako for 6 months. my 1st was thickened lining, 2 yrs after polyp, then a yr and a half after combination na.. kaya naging endometrial hyperplasia at least nasa simple category pa.. nakakatakot yung complex category kasi based sa reading ko its near to having cancer of the uterus..

i had to diet as well para pangtulong sa medicines.. plus, suggestion na i try to get pregnant.. eh PCO din ako??  6 months ako under watch ng OB and d&c ulit after 6 months should i not get pregnant..

niloloko na nga ako ng OB ko hanap ako sperm donor... hay i juts had to keep a clear head tho nung una im in denial.. super natakot ako..

Hi sis ano yung complex category? nakakatakot naman yan, tickened din yung endo ko tapos possible polyps din daw kaya need ko pa appointment agad sa OB. hirap kasi dito sa ibang bansa by appointment, di gaya sa atin pwede magwalk in

May mga bawal ba post curette? Wala kasi inadvise sakin yung doctor. Pero I just want to be sure, baka may mga pwede kayo ishare na bawal gawin after magpa D and C. Thanks!

you just have to take alot of rest and don't push yourself..parang nanganak ka din kasi...you have to built your strength again and to gain the blood you lost...

take lots of sleep, rest vitamins after 2 weeks you can do ur normal chores or activities...

Mga sis, reasonable ba yung OB PF na 30-40k? Tapos 50% for anesthesiologist? The hospital is cardinal santos. Total bill (hospital and PF) is about 80k

Grabe naman maningil yang OB mo... D&C lang inabot ka ng 80K...

Last May, nagpa D&C ako sa St. Luke's-QC. I think yung na charge sa HMO ko was 10K+ ; excluding PF ng OB & Anes ko.  Then add'l 4500 for the lab tests before nong procedure. After the procedure, discharge ako, 9hrs lang ako sa hospital.

Pero kung sa St. Luke's-Global City ako nagpa - D&C with Hysteroscopy... my OB ask me to prepare 40-50K (procedure & PF + 2 days admission). Di lang kasi accredited ng HMO yung OB ko at ang SLGC kaya sa SLQC ginawa.... he he he sayang din kasi yung 40K ko kung may libre naman, di ba?
