meron din po ba kayong massuggest sa subic/zambales area? mga less than 3k (or 2k) sana. wag naman po camping style.di ko carry yun.. 

Last summer me and my boyfriend stayed at kokomos olongapo..
1500 lang ang overnight stay, nice ang room,at my ref..
isang jeep lang nasa subic gate ka na..

depende sis kung saan ka mas malapit. since overnight lang, para naman masulit mo din yung time at hindi masyadong pagod s byahe

super late na itong reply ko but i just want to share something.. hoing that it might help you to decide.. this is my comparison between the 2..

we went to Valentino last November 2009 and the place is really nice.. the amenities are ok and we really enjoyed our stay there.. we only spent 3k (for 2 pax) at lahat2 na yun.. the best ang room.. hnd mukhang 1500 lang.. the foods are yummy but not expensive..  accomodation has breakfast included and you need to choose on their breakfast meal (tapsilog, bangsilog, etc.) 

then last Sunday, we went to Casa San Pablo.. the place is also nice.. kaso i think 1500/head (2 kami so 3k) is not worth it.. masyadong mahal compare sa valentino.. the rooms are personalized so walang pare-preho but its smaller.. hnd rin gumagana yung heater nung room namin but we opted to just stay there.. walang TV so I brought a laptop kasi may wifie daw.. kaso wala naman pala.. sira daw yng wifi nila but they allow me to borrow their smart broadband kaso kami mag loload.. the pool is green and not inviting.. but in fairness, adobong manok, danggit, egg and fried rice ang breakfast namin.. the place is near puregold naman so pwedeng lumabas if you want.

OFF peak are weekdays.
make sure to call them and confirm your reservation.
they are very particular sa mga nagpareserve

Sis, if commute lang galing cubao/EDSA, anong bus ang sasakyan papunta jan? pagbaba ng bus jan na mismo? Please give details/directions.. and idea how much fare.. thanks..

sakay ka lang ng lipa batangas na bus. after startoll you'll have to turn left, you'll also pass by san fernando airbase i think.. may mga jeep going to cuenca road. then may makikita ka signs along the road ng Valentino, there's tricycles also.

and puwedeng magpareserve thru text lan? no need na mag-down payment? ang naexperience ko kasi sa iba, text/call to reserve a room, then pinapag-down or full payment para reserved talaga..

^ you need to depositg 50% to reserve a room in valentino... i think 3k would be enough for all your expenses.. you can bring your own food as long as it is cooked.. but food rate in valentino is reasonable.. 200 per person.

Directions to Valentino Resort and Spa

To get to Valentino Resort and Spa, take the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and exit at Calamba. Turn left and Follow the road until you reach the entrance of the STAR Tollway on your right. Take the Lipa exit.

Upon exiting the STAR tollway, make a left turn. You will be seeing the Fernando Airbase on the right side. Once you see the road leading to Cuenca, Batangas, make a right turn.

A few kilometers down, you will see a sign leading you to Valentino Resort and Spa. You will make a left turn at that small road. From there it takes only a couple of minutes to reach your destination.

oh btw, no need to deposit payment.. you can also book thru text.
if dalawa lang kayo..a standard suit is ok na..only 1500 this peak season with free breakfast for two.

baon nalang some snacks with you..like coffee , chips..etc..other than that..ok naman to order your food nalang sa restaurant nila..have it delivered sa room nyo or dine sa restau nila.

mga 2 hours kaya if no traffic. hehe..

^^ sis i was in valentino last month,,, they asked us to deposit 50% to reserve a room.. not sure if they will be lenient for off peak season.

@krisle703: travel time is 1.5hrs from makati but it will still depend on the traffic in SLEX..

yeah me too just lastweek..they did not ask naman for any deposits..just confirmation lang na dadating kami.  well i guess it better to be ready with payment just in case.

@cassiopeia: really? i was there 2 weeks ago naman.. during our visit there were many guests.. may wedding ata.. kaya rin siguro hiningan kame ng deposit.

@ rhed: we stayed in one of the deluxe rooms.. i was not able to see the standard po. siguro konting konti lang difference baka nga sa size ng room lang e.. try to visit thi site to check the deluxe room
