ECTOPIC PREGNANCY

Hi mga sis!

I had an ectopic pregnancy and just had my surgery a week ago. I was 6 weeks pregnant and during my 1st check up - I was diagnosed of ectopic pregnancy. My left fallopian tube was removed.

I have been looking for threads and forums regarding this pero wala akong nakita that's why i decided to start one.

Meron na ba dito naka-experience ng ectopic pregnancy? I am worried kasi na baka hindi na ako magka-baby next time.

Sa mga sis na naka-experience ng ectopic pregnancy, were you able to have a normal pregnancy after?

hi sis gamegrl! i've had ectopic pregnancy 8 years ago and lost my right tube.  i've had 2 pregnancies after even with the just the surviving left tube but both ended up in miscarriages. the 2nd was no fetal heartbeat and then the 3rd was spontaneous abortion which means that at around 6 to 7 weeks i just bled. i don't think that the 2 miscarriages were in any way related to the ectopic pregnancy.

right now i'm still in the TTC journey and working to have my first baby. i'm currently on a workup and will be undergoing my 2nd IUI this month. so hang on sis gamegrl! magkakababy ka din even with one fallopian tube. just monitor closely when you get a positive HPT.

^^ Hi sis, I'm sorry about your loss.  I too had an ectopic pregnancy early this year.  I was also 6 weeks pregnant and had laparoscopy to remove my right tube naman.  We were advised by my ob to put TTC on hold for a couple of months since I was given Methotrexate injection to dissolve the pregnancy prior to surgery.  Now we were given the green light to try again but I have decided not to for the moment.  I'd like to undergo HSSG first to have the remaining tube checked for blockage.  I'm too scared and paranoid of it happening again!  Also, my periods have gone wacko ever since.

Let's try and keep a positive outlook and pray that  we will be given another baby soon.

i have been reading everything i could find online regarding ectopic pregnancy and recovering from it.
it seems you have gone through much loss compared to mine. but, i am proud to see that you haven't lost your faith. i hope one day i'll be as optimistic as you are.

mga sis, basta be optimistic. well, i know it's easier said than done because i, too, have difficulty staying positive after the miscarriages and the BFNs that i get each month of trying but if we just keep our faith then the journey might be a little lighter.

basta mga sis, there's hope after ectopic pregnancy!

i'm now on CD6 and looking forward to my IUI next week. sana ang magagandang follicles are in my left ovaries kase ang natitira ko na lang na fallopian is the left one.

hi. newbie rin here. i think i can relate to everyone here. i had an ectopic way back 2003. i totally lost my left fallopian.. it was ruptured and almost got me killed. had a saline salingosonogram 5 months ago to check my fallopian's condition. unfortunately, my left tube is really closed. to add more, for the past 6 years, my left ovary is the only one ovulating. so 6 months ago, i started taking clomid to have my right ovary produce an egg. fortunate enough, 2 months ago my right ovary finally produced a matured egg. pero hindi pa rin ako nabuntis... i wonder why...
i am also checking my BBT for a year now.

nwei, july 30, my bbt was so high so im not expecting any AF pero nagkaroon nung gabi. shocked ako kasi di talaga dapat magkaron since mataas yung BBT ko. it last for 2 days lang. so aug 1 came, naisipan ko lang mag-HPT ng 10:30pm, lumabas BFP. hindi pa ako naniwala... so kinabukasan nagtry ulit ako ng 4am, nag BFP ulit siya. sa sobrang excitement, 10am same day, nagtry na naman ako... pero thsi time BFN na... ganun din lumabas nung aug 2 na nagtry ako.
i immediately went to an OB (since my real OB is not available at that time)... she told me posible raw na meron na nga considering na yung first 2 HPT ko nagpositive. pede raw nagwonder around lang yung egg kaya hindi na nadetect sa next 2 HPT. to cut my story short, the OB gave me Duphaston... just in case raw na may baby para kumapit.. and after a week, mag-HPT raw ako ulit.
im very desperate now with my situation. i don't want to know na after a week, totally negative na ang result. my DH and I are trying for 2 years already and it really frustrates me everytime i see a BFN in my HPTs.

right now, im thinking positive na lang although mejo kabado. sana nga magka-blessing na kami...

hi mga sis, thanks and may thread na regarding ectopic pregnancy, i had it last 2007, it was 6 weeks din when ma diagnosed na ectopic pregnancy ko, my right tube was removed, and after 3 months ttc ulit kami, sad to say di kami naka buo, until i decided na mag pa HSG, and the result was blocked na yung remaining tube ko, super sad talaga kami ng hubby ko, we decided na lang na mag ipon and IVF na lang ang last na hope namin..until may nabasa ako sa ibang thread regading sa fallopian tube recanalization, and super happy ako, may iba pa palang way para ma open tube ko. and we consulted dun sa doctor na nag FTR so puede daw ako sa ganun procedure, and thanks god na open naman yung left tube ko, and now TTC ulit kami ni hubby, just keep on praying lang para magka baby tayo ulit..

@gamegrl, yup... update ko kayo. add me also to your prayers na sana nga totoo na ito. 6 years na hinintay ko para makabuo.. ayoko na talaga ma-frustrate.. and i will be praying for us, too mga sis... sana nga may hope talaga para sa mga tulad natin.
i will have an OB check tomorrow, let's pray na positive na nga talaga ito.

Hi mga sis.. I'm so glad may thread na for Ectopic pregnancy...Just want to share my story..

We've been trying to conceive for five years now...in 2006,Sabi ng OB ko polycystic ovaries daw ako..I had HSG and my tubes are patent naman..I've undergone fertilty work-up from clomid, metformin, Puregon injections and IUI..I was ovulating but all failed...In 2007 I got surgery for appendecitis so I stopped my work-up and rested for a year...In 2008, I took ACUPUNCTURE sessions kasi I've researched na alternative treatment din sya for infertility (anovulation,endometriosis, blocked tubes).. then last January 2009, I was surprised to have a POSITIVE pregnancy test!..I was estatic! but after five days, sumakit puson ko..ECTOPIC pala My ob said na baka nagka adhesions daw [textspeak!] tubes ko after ng APENDECTOMY ko Pero I'm so happy na din kasi at least my husband and I knew na kaya pala namin mag conceive even if I'm not taking any meds..My OB removed my right tube and she checked my remaining tube..she did the procedure called  CHROMOPERTUBATION and discovered that my left tube is also blocked. I was devastated but I didn't lose hope. Prayers do wonders. I'm now asking HIM a sign if I should go on IVF..or just patiently wait coz I know God do wonders. Prayers has three answers, YES, NO and WAIT. Sana lahat tayo magkababy na.

how long bago kayo nakabalik ng work? ilang months after the operation?

mga sis... kagagaling ko lang sa OB ko. sabi ng OB (tita ko ob ko eh), eh tignan pa raw talaga muna. pero sinabi rin niya na mukhang maliit ang chance pero posible pa rin naman. so right now, ayaw ko muna ma-stress at malungkot.. kasi sa monday, pinag-HPT niya ako. kapag BFP siya, saka ko siya ulit kontakin... kaya yun muna ang hinihintay ko... kasi kung hindi, one last clomid cycle pa kami then IUI na. nakaka-7th cycle na ako kung sakali... grabe nga eh, mamatay-matay na ako sa kakatanong kay tita kasi talagang kinukulit ko na siya.. sana nga magpositive na sa monday!

@ gamegrl: sis I went back after 6 months kase mejo natrauma talaga kami sa ectopic pregnancy kaya we opted to wait. after that naman the pregnancy was not immediate. i waited 3 years to get pregnant again but i lost it. there was no fetal heartbeat at 7.5weeks. i had d&c then. and then last 2007 i got pregnant again but again lost it. both pregnancies, with God's grace, hindi naman ectopic. i have surviving left tube na lang eh but it is patent. i had my HSG done last may.

right now still working on for baby#1. it's a long journey! we're ttc for more than 8 years already since the ectopic but my husband and i are hopeful. next week i will have my second IUI. hopefully left ovary will produce dominant follicles kase di ba ang mga ovaries salitan sa pagproduce ng dominant follicle.  sana this time around, LO pa din ang magproduce ng dominant follicles dahil ang left fallopian ang sasalo sa fertilized egg.

so, sa mga sisses na nagka ectopic, just hang in there! kaya natin yan.  in God's time, we'll have our babies.

Sis, ako i resumed work after two weeks.  I had to, coz I just came from a month-long vacation and nag-pile up na work sa office.  It's up to you if you think kaya mo na physically and emotionally.  Get lots of rest and avoid lifting heavy objects.
