To get addicted to the brand, I suggest you get a copy or borrow Bobbi Brown Essential Makeup Guide.  She really is an amazing makeup artist.

-- sis maganda ba talaga yung book niya? kasi feeling ko parang nagppromote siya ng products niya. hehe,  ;D

^Sis, ok yung book niya since she doesn't say naman na you have to buy her products. In fact, wala siyang namentioned about her products. Photos lang ng products niya ang meron sa book. For instance, BB talks about what's essential in a makeup bag. Hindi niya sasabihin na you have to have MY blush, MY compact, etc...

Meron din dun sa book about how to create a smoky eye look. Di niya sasabihin na o you get this shade of e/s from my line. Naka-indicate lang dun na you need a dark shade of e/s.

yeah, she doesn't sell her products explicitly...but if you're familiar with how her products look like, you can see that her photos show her products although unbranded, so it's a subtle style of selling. ;) acceptable kasi at least hindi garapal.

ang hindi ko lang gusto sa books niya, it has a lot of donts. don't use shimmery blushes, don't use these color of eyeshadows, don't use this, don't use that. medyo restrictive and doesn't give you room to experiment on your own style. :-\ and it's funny because later on, she broke her own rules by coming out with a lot of shimmer products. yan ang demand ng clients eh. ;)

but if you want the basics, her books are very good. it teaches you the essentials very well. i also have one of her books (Bobbi Brown Beauty) which i still refer to from time to time. :)

sana wag nilang idiscontinue ang pot rouges. baka ibahin lang nila ng packaging, just like what they did with the other powder products. and the Raspberry line was limited edition, so is Stonewashed Pink...so talagang wala na yun, unfortunately :(

^ Hindi lahat ng shades, yung Pale Pink permanent daw yun. :)

Ang funny niya nga eh, hindi daw siya mahilig sa colors pero naglabas siya ng brights palette and yung summer palette na may blue shades.

strawberryswitchblade: it's one of those selling strategies. releasing limited edition stuff that's somehow deviant of one's concept. :D

so far concealer kit palang ang nabibili ko from BB but I must say nice ang coverage nito on my skin and it lasts talaga.

I also got her book hopefully I could learn more about her product and try her blushes and lippies too. i love neutral colors.

^hi sis greenpease! *hugs* missed you!

kung meron man ang Bobbi Brown na mga limited editions, napaka-memorable. the collections which really stuck to me are the Clay and Raspberry collections. super nice. :) usually may seasonal palettes sila, which are so pretty! i remember the bridal palettes na napakagaganda. :)

Used the Raspberry face palette today, so NOT regretting this purchase! The lip colors apply better with the brush, and the blush is really the star of the show! I find the matte eyeshadows a bit difficult to blend, but still manageable.

I really want a customizable palette! I dream of having everything I need (foundie/concealer, blush, e/s and lip stuff) in one palette. Hahahaha. :)

Question: Aside from Makati, is there any other Rustan's that carries this brand? TIA.

I only have two BB items. Her makeup manual and eyeshadow in Moss :) It's a matte moss green. Apart from neutral e/s, I love greens. Safe to wear for the office. I saw the raspberry palette when it was on sale, but I don't think I could pull off such bright colors, especially the blush.

I was lemming for their nude lip and eye palette before. I don't think they sell it anymore :( LE ata yun.

^me too, i want the nude lip and eye palette! Is the new nude eye palette tempting you?

Sayang sis, the raspberry face palette's blush is totally wearable, but can also be built up to a really bright color!
