pag tinanong kung bakit gusto mo lumipat ng ibang work, ano ang magandang sagot? ang totoo, gusto ko ng mas malaking sweldo (syempre) .. thanks

minsan mahirap diretsong sabihin na naghahanap ka ng work na may mas malaking sweldo kahit yon ang totoo. kasi syempre, higher pay means more responsibilities in most cases.

are you looking to move up? or change careers? if not and if the prospective job is the same as your previous, ang hirap humingi ng malaking increase. it has to be justifiable.

sa current work mo wala bang growth? maybe you can say you are looking for professional growth (as you move up, salary almost always follows).

Tanong sa akin "Why should we hire you"

Pagkatapos kong ibenta ang mga qualifications at work experience ko, at what I thought I'd bring to the company, sabi ko:

"If you don't hire me, I'll go to your competitor, I'll be the best XXX and time will come that you will come and offer to steal me from them. By that time, my asking price will be five times more than what I'd be making by then."

Natakot ata, ayun, na-hire ako.

Actually, I felt during the interview na parang no chance they'll hire me (tough questions, I felt I wasn't qualified enough, etc), so I just took my chance and said those stuff. I know now it might sound arrogant to some people and it will turn them off. Luckily at that time it didn't . Perhaps it also helped na yung interviewers ko were both foreigners.

share ko lang mga sis, may friend ako na tinanong ng ganito a few years back, ang sagot ba naman niya is " Why should I accept your offer? 10,000 ?!?!

This is a nice thread. I'm planning to apply as a medical rep or CSR (healthcare account) and my last job was year 2009. Im nervous in applying a job again since I forgot all the common questions that are usually asked. For those who are med rep or working in a Call center, what are the common questions that are being asked?

^^ Sis, never ever bash a former employer.  This will not reflect you as somebody who can handle challenging situation.  Plus the interviewer may think that you have the tendency to be negative.  To handle such question, you may want to resort to using neutral or even positive words to narrate negative situation.

Example: "I'm leaving the company because I need to challenge my self and I want to take bigger task".  In reality you mean, "I am not given enough attention and my boss does not trust me to take new task, or there is no progress in y previous company, or my former boss is playing favorite."

When describing bad situation you need to use positive language so you will be perceived as a person with 'can-do' and positive attitude.

I am not sure if this is the right thread.. pero I just had an interview earlier and many questions are so off! I am a single mom and I indicated it on the form they asked us to fill out. Tama ba namang tanungin kung may communication pa ang father at daughter ko, kung nagbibigay ng sustento, kung bakit kami naghiwalay at pinadetalye pa kung pano ako nagcome up sa decision ko na yon??! my goodness! buti nalang our separation was already 2 years ago kaya keri ko na at sinagot ko din naman siya ng walang kaabog abog. I know those should not be asked by any HR personnel but since I am already over it, I answered them anyway. May connection ba yun sa sales position na inaapplyan ko??! Dapat yata I anwered, that is too personal Maam para matauhan naman sila na wala na sa konteksto ang mga tanong.

I have medrep friends they were asked about their personality are they outgoing, friendly, shy, mahiyain? The ones who answered that their negative traits were shyness almost always did not get the job.

I was asked the same question years ago  i answered "Why not? If I were to spend 10years of my life working for a company then might as well do it in one of the best if not the best medical company in the philippines." ngayon i am in a position where i get to ask the same question na to new associates and the answers were amusing.

Very personal details like that should not have been asked na. I do not ask such details na rin. But i do ask some personal stuff that might affect your work in the future.like if you have a kid, you cannot focus with your work because kids are always a priority. Kaya other companies prefer single ladies over married ones. Pero hindi ganyan ka detailed ang questions ko.

Mga sis I would like  to ask some questions, what do you think is the best answer if your out of work for 5 years, kasi nagbusiness ka na lang but now gusto mo ng mag back to work?

and about sa resume do you think proper na ilagay yung 2 years mong experiencedpero dika nagresign kundi nag vacation leave ka lang at di na ikaw bumalik so walang formal resignation"awol" ka do you think magiging issue eto sa employer or baka hanapan ka ng employment certificate? sayang din kasi pag hindi naisama coz almost 2 years din yun. any idea mga sis? thanks

^magiging issue po yun sis, pero pwede mo rin ilagay minsan kasi hindi naman talaga sila nanghihingi ng coe. Sa business sis you can tell them na you helped on your family business, never tell them that it's you who had a business.

when i was still young ganyan din ginawa ko. umalis ako sa company nang walang paalam at hindi iniiinform ang immediate supervisors ko. Then ni-forward ng friend ko yung resume ko sa another company. Eh nakasulat sa resume ko na i've been with this previous company na bigla ko na nga lang nilayasan. I already signed the contract to company number 2 and then bigla na  lang ako nakatanggap ng demand letter from HR na nanghihingi ng explanation why I did not declare na AWOL ako sa previous company ko.

I asked my father ako gagawin ko kasi kahit sya hindi nya alam na nag AWOL ako. Ayun, binigay  ko yung explanation letter ko sa HR ng company number 2. I am still with company number 2 till now.

Dati nasabi sa akin ng kaibigan ko na kapag nag AWOL ka sa previous company mo, syempre walang clearance form yun, wag na lang daw isulat sa resume na you were employed to that company. Pero alam ko mate-trace naman yun nang current employer mo sa SSS and TIN mo

ilang days ka nag stay sa company na yan? ako 5 days lang itinagal ko from my previous employer pero nakapag submit naman ako ng resignation letter. di ko na rin nilalagay sa resume ko yun syempre. my question is, matete-trace ba talaga yun kahit ganun lang itinagal ko? *worried*

^if you're company submitted na sa SSS then probably matrace, kasi dun malalaman kung sino yung last company na nagremit.  Pero if hindi pa baka hindi naman.
