^ I will depend my answer based on the position that I'm applying for. For example, if I'm applying for a customer service job then I'll probably say something like this - "My co-workers would describe me as patient because if there's an irate customer, I assess the situation first and make sure that I remain calm in order to solve the problem as quickly as possible."

Use power words like dedicated, organized, committed team player, reliable and efficient then state an experience where it was mentioned by your colleagues for extra boost. Since it will show the interviewer that you're actually like that.

The whole point of the interview is to determine whether you are a perfect fit for that position and also with the company. This question will help them have a glimpse of who you are as a team member.

I find this question tricky, if you would be ask "Do You Prefer to Work as a Team or Independently?" In a workplace setting you should be somehow a "team player" but there's a downside answering it as a "team" solely. It might give the interviewer an impression na baka you cannot work on your task independently. What would be the best answer to say na you can do both effectively? TIA!

Well that is actually a tricky question since your answer should be balanced. What I do is I choose my preferred method of working but give an explanation that I can also work the other way as well so the interviewer will know that I can do both without any problems.

For example, "I prefer to work alone since I don't have to wait for the approval of another person. However, I find that being with a team has its own advantages like being able to share ideas and learning something new from that."

Or "I enjoy working on a team since we can reach our goal in a more efficient way but in some situations, I like being solely responsible for a project to have a sense of accomplishment."

If you really want to answer both then I think this should be good enough lol

"I actually enjoy both, working on a team and working independently. It just depends on the project that needs to be done. I can work with my colleagues to brainstorm ideas but I can also work by myself to complete the task."

I am into testing, as quality auditor This work is something I REALLY REALLY wanted to do. Kaya lang what motivated me to be "active" again in job hunting was unfortunately, I was assigned to another role which is really outside the scope of testing. As in new role (since it's a new project pa lang we're transitioning offshore). It was a management decision. We couldn't say no since prior to informing us, may decision na pala and it was already communicated to our onshore counterparts.

And I think I wouldn't excel with this type of work not that I am not flexible. It's just that at the back of my mind, I know what I really wanted to do. So my next question goes like, if asked why I am planning to leave my current employer, would it be appropriate to say na because I don't like my current role? I don't want to give sana the interviewer an impression that I am not flexible, sayang din naman yung mga skills I have acquired over the past years working as a tester, cause I know I won't be able to maximize those in my new role.

Phrase it something like this:

You were offered a new role and it was not in line with your own plans. You have a path defined for yourself because you know what you want and where you want to go and the company's plans for you were making you go off-track and lose focus on your goal, which is ultimately to become XXX.

If tinanong ka "Im offering you this "blank" position" ok lang bang sagutin "yes, I'm interested" or may kailangan pa bang sabihin para ipafeel sa interviewer na interesado ka talaga sa position?

Paano sabihin sa HR na hindi mo na gustong ipagpatuloy yung application mo? ok lang ba thru text ,call or kailangan i-email sakanya?

Hi mga sis! Ask ko lang sana if meron dito na same dilemma ko hihi! Usually yung work ko nasa 2 or 3 years before ako mag entertain ng other opportunities. Kahit may mga nagcocontact and nagrerefer naghihintay muna ko ng few years before ako umalis sa isang company.

Side kwento: Yun nga lang kase with my last employer tinyaga ko lang mag 6 months then after ko maregular nag resign din ako after a few weeks. Minsan kasi inaabot kami ng 12 to 18 hrs sa office haha may time pa na pag inabot ng escalation sa vendor (i.e. Microsoft team) napakahaba ng con call. May side projects pa kami and kanya kanyang country na hawak. On call ka pa syempre ng country na assigned sayo. In short dumating na ko sa saturation point hehe. Aware naman si company and manager ko syempre sa issues namin kasi kulang kami sa team and super dami workload. Nakiusap naman na mag wait pa kami ng few months para makapagdagdag sila ng tao pero kahit daming job posting lage naman di rin nila hire ang ending. May nauna pa saken na dalawa then ako na 3rd na nagresign. Weeks lang pagitan. Sorry haba na neto.

Sa mga latest interviews ng mga inaapplyan ko lage ko lang sagot pag ask nila why I left after 6 months, sinasabi ko talaga na I really want a work-life balance, very much flexible naman ako sa working hours and I want fair time share for work and family/personal kasi may productive and efficient ako pag ganun. Once in a while willing naman ako sa patayan sched and work wag lang every other day ang repeat performance :-D wala lang feeling ko lang kulang sa positive scripting pero wala na talaga ko maisip haha. As much as possible I don't want na magmukhang masama naman si past employer and at the same time ayoko na maexperience ang ngaragan na yun sa lilipatan ko.

Hello guys! Please help me answer the question: "Why did you leave your previous job?"

Here's the backstory: I'm a teacher, with 4 years experience. At the same time I'm working on my MA degree. My mom is working in this gov't agency and told me help daw niya ako mag-pass ng mga papers for application, etc. since malaki sahod/maganda benefits nila. Gusto niya ko lumipat muna ng work. Since summer naman, I have no work, currently job hunting, sabi ko sige try ko magoffice nalang muna. Since nagtthesis naman ako sa MA, mas magaan ang work sa office compared to magteach pa rin ako. Mas matututukan ko yung MA ko.

So there, baka kasi ask ako bakit ako lilipat sa office? How could I answer that...

You could answer something like you tried your best to fit with the role you're in, but the circumstances, state 18hour shift made it unbearable. Same lang naman with your answer but insist na you tried to give the job a shot for the first 6months.

How different is the new job description? Tbh, I dont like using the word explore given that you have been teaching for several years already. I'll probably be blunt about it, I want a more stable job with a fix salary and good benefits. You want security, all the perks that you could get.

here's the story:

Undergraduate of ECE, nag alaga ng lola then nung namatay si lola si mother naman ang inaalagaan kasi terminally ill [6 years na syang lumalabas sa sakit niya]. Pano yun? Di siya makapag aral or makapagwork kasi kelangan 24/7 bantay siya.
