One of the first books that got me to reading. I was 13, 1st year HS when I first saw the SV books in our school library. I got excited because the covers look pretty and the synopsis at the back got me interested. Since then I made it a point to borrow these books every week (sometimes, along with Nancy Drew and Sweet Dreams series).

I enjoy reading SV Twins more than SV High maybe because the latter was too mature for my age then. I was not able to read the whole series as much as I would want to because not all were available in the school library, and buying (with my meager allowance) was too expensive. Was able to buy some in college but old SV Twins were slowly running out-of-stock replacing it with new ones.

Tragic kasi nilindol yung 17th birthday ng twins.

I also loved the twins' secret diary. Not the ones from SVH pa ha. SVU na sila tapos biglang bumalik si Devon.

anyway, i'm not updated as to new Sweet Valley series. To where I am, SV books are not popular. I suppose the SV Twins no longer have new books? Even if I'm in my early 30s, parang I want to read SV books again.

^ Dun sa book na Last Wish dun sila nag 17. pero habang binabasa ko yung books, parang hindi naman sila 16 years old. lol Lalo na sa TV series. hehe

^yan din ang impression ko while looking at the covers (while reading it as a teen), LOL! Same with Nancy Drew. They all look too mature and sophisticated for a teenager, hehe. Though in real life Caucasians tend to look more mature compared to Asians.

ako naman binasa ko yung 10 years after nila...windang ako sa mga nangyari sa kanila...:-) di ko matanggap na bading si steven, ok lang na si bruce and si elizabeth ang nagkatuluyan, although mas gusto ko na sina lila and bruce, kasi naging sila sa university...naloka rin ako na naging sina jessica and si todd...hay, basta windang...laking sweet valley series din ako...although, mas gusto ko yung twins, kaysa nung high school na series nila

^waahhh! Steven is gay!? I didn't see that coming for there were no signs in the books, LOL! Anyway, what's the title of that SV book, sis? I'll try looking it at National or online kasi parang must-read siya for a SV fan like me.

god this is like 20 years ago when I first read the book!!

napa google tuloy ako...how can I forget..nung nagkaroon ako ng book report..eto ang nireport ko hahaha..sa sobrang ka adikan ko din. Yun nga lang lagi akong huli kase nanghihiram lang ako sa classmate ko na mga mayayaman, so pagkatapos nila pagsawaan eh chaka ko palang mababasa. Pero ok lang yun at least nakakabasa ako ng libre diba.

Dami pang sumunod neto..me Sweet Dreams pa, Choose your Own Adventure..Nancy Drew etc....

Fan din ako ng Sweet Valley dati. Lalo na nung mga bata pa sila. Sweet Valley Twins, Unicorn, Kids, at ibang books din sa High School.

Kaso na turn off na ako nung malaman ko na mga nangyari sa kanila pagtanda nila. Lol.
Nakakairita na. Palitan lang ng boyfriend.
Ginawa pang bading si Steven just for shock value at para makiuso? Wala namang signs na ganoon siya dati.

Korak sis.  Ang player kaya ni Steven nung nasa middle school pa yung twins.

Di ko din nagustuhan yung Sweet Valley Confidential, pati yung rewritten versions na modern na yung atake with emails, cellphones etc.  Kasi most of us ang experience sa Sweet Valley eh nung panahon na super simple lang ng buhay, na wala tayong ibang concerns kundi school, family and friends.  Simpleng pagbabasa nga lang ng ganitong books ang saya na natin hehe.  Nakakamiss talga ang panahon na yun! 

I think I will pay Recto a visit one of these days.  Ang laki din ng collection ko nito dati.  Kaso sa kakapahiram sa classmates and busmates eh nawala na most of them   Maganda din i-build ulit ang collection para pag nagka-daughter ako mapasa ko sa kanya

^Parang gusto ko na rin tuloy ulit bumili ng books ng Sweet Valley na nung mga bata pa sila. Halos hiram lang kasi ako dati. Tapos yung iba naman na sa akin talaga, nawala na yun iba.

Mga magkano yung Twins, Unicorn, Kids, doon sa recto?

Update lang:  I was able to download I think 6 SVH books on kickass.to    Sana dumami pa ang maging available for download, pati SVT!

I still have a shelf at home filled with SV books. I sold some of them in Ebay.
