Prettyarcher, may I suggest not to use fabric conditioner muna and use the mildest detergent for your newborn's clothes and linens?  Babies kasi rely on their sense of smell to bond with their mommies, to know when it's feeding time.  Pag masyadong mabango yung clothes and stuff nya, baka ma-mask yung smell mo and your milk.

ako sis mag 4months na si baby pero hindi pa rin ako naglalagay ng fabcon. cycles lang talaga, okay naman smell ng clothes ni baby

^^Ako naman 2yo na ang anak ko we still don't use fabcon kahit sa damit namin.  Allergic kasi ako (nangangati ang ilong at sumasakit ang ulo ko kapag masyadong mabango) and my baby has sensitive skin also.

I think sa previous pages na-discuss when the other mommies used fabcon for their babies' clothes.

which is better?yung cycles na liquid or powder form? meron na akong cycles pero yung nasa pack na muna binili ko. di ko pa natry kasi di ko pa nilalabhan damit ni baby. i'm planning to buy more cycles laundry detergent. i was thinking if im going to get the liquid form or yung powder form na nasa box na. thanks

cycles powder ang gamit namin ngayon pero next time siguro try ko yang liquid. nakakahatsing kasi yung powder..

yung cycles nakakita ako sa sm department stores..
perwoll for baby yung gamit ko now, gift kasi sakin yun kaya yun na ginamit ko ok naman si baby so far.. sa fabcon ang gamit ko is vernell, pero iniisip ko if okay lang ba mag fabcon or kahit wag na.. i would also like to try yung sinasabi nilang fabcon sa japan homes kaso hindi ko alam saan ako makakabili nun.. im from paranaque saan kaya may malapit

@sis prettyarcher - ako nga rin po sis hindi pa nakakapaglaba ng clothes and linens ni baby. hindi pa rin kasi ako tas magshop ng mga stuff niya kaya i'm planning after ko na makumpleto stuff niya saka ako maglalaba para isahan na lang.

i'm planning to handwash and iron all baby's clothes and linens para clean and sanitized talaga.

i used PERLA sa mga clothes ni baby. sabi kasi ng mom ko yung ang pinaka mild na soap. i didnt use cycle kasi its a little over the budget.

ai heard before na even Cycles leaves some residue sa clothes....

anyway, we used Perla white or blue naman din kasi, and hiyang naman si baby dun so there was no need for a more expensive something...

walang amoy ang perla. so its best to use it for babies to let baby's natural smell stand-out. i use perla white for my 7-weeks old baby girl. and i find it cheapest of all detergets for baby's clothes.

better not to use any fabric softener. i used dell hypoallergenic and pigeon before pero nag-rashes si baby so my pedia suggested to stop using it kc it might be d cause and it cud not be her body bath kc dove liquid nman gamit ko and its hypallergenic. and perhaps it is, kc nawala [textspeak!] madaming rashes sa katawan ni baby right after i tell yaya to stop using fabric softener. altho nay kaunti pa rin lumalabas but its normal na [textspeak!] daw.

we also used perla white noon..siguro 1 month lang..tapos nag switch kami to cycles. tapos at age 4 or 5months yata si baby nag del fabric conditioner na kami na hypoallergenic. ang sarap kasi amoyin eh.
when my baby turns 1..mag tide detergent na kami hehe..

pricey kc and cycle compared to perla so i go for perla.

i love d smell of del too kaya [textspeak!] di pede sa skin ni baby. so natural baby smell [textspeak!] [textspeak!] sya. bawal din kc ang colonge and powder sa kanya eh.

i'll try cycles,perwoll and perla para malaman ko kung anong mas ok sa amin na brand ng laundry detergent. for clothes siguro cycles or perwoll and for linens perla siguro.

prettyarcher, hi sis! not sure if someone has answered your question about drying your baby's clothes sa machine.. we've been doing this for 20months now.. wala naman ako napansin na damit nya na umurong.. check mo din if meron option ang dryer nyo na lowest RPM para hindi masira damit ni baby..

since dryer namin clothes ni baby, hindi na namin plantcha.. except sa pang alis na lukot talaga.. i think ang idea ng mommies kaya pinaplantcha kasi baka meron mga insects sa sampayan.. yata ah not sure lang.. pero pag naka dryer naman, fold na lang then ok na..

in my opinion and experience on my clothes, di naman umuurong ang damit na wmachine dried. then so with baby's clothes. its just that mas madali kumupas at maluma ang damit. maybe bcoz of d spinning effect and heat caused by d dryer.

sa di pgplantsa, it depend din sa skin ni baby. ironing is recommended to kill any unwanteds na pede dumikit sa damit nya. in your case na wmachine dried na at di na kailangang isampay pa, and been tested not causing any harmful effect to your baby, then it works on you. case to case basis din kc. well for me, pinaplantsa lahat even the beddings.
