Reception for binyag

Anybody here who have done their baptism reception at a Jollibee branch? 'eto kasi ang preferred ng kids at balikbayan ...How was your experience?

my son's ninang had her son's baptism reception sa boating lagoon in rainforest pasig supposedly yesterday. but on the day of the day of the biniyag, tinawagan sya ng mga caterers na nagseset up at pinapaalis daw sila dun dahil me iba daw naka reserve. super stressed si friend ko because ito na eh, its the morning ng event tapos ganun, she paid full payment feb 7 nakalista sa notebook, when she saw it it was erased, at yung sa isang event fully paid ng feb 25. grabe super sama. wala na sya nagawa but they just gave her another area sa rainforest which is hindi naman nya pinili. grabe ano. yung isang nag event daw hindi namin alam kung ano, pero merong kodak canon nikon ganun.. wala na daw sya nagawa hindi na sya nakalaban or something, but i think irereport nila sa city hall.

Mga sis i am thinking na sa bahy nalang gawin reception ng binyag ng anak ko,  please share naman po ano yung dapat gawin pag diy..

^ I feel that you can based what you will need sa budget and space available in your place.  You can get food carts like dirty ice cream, french fries, fish balls, starbucks and the like.  You can get a caterer, usually the tables and chairs are already provided for.  For the designs, you can diy and check pinterest for inspirations.  Of course, you may want to research for machines and other entertainments like tattoos, balloon making etc.

Do you plan to get a separate photographer pa ba?

I'm planning my son's baptism for April.

Church: Sta. Rita Parish in Philam
Reception: Shangri-la Restaurant in West Ave.
Cake: Delishae
Cupcakes and macarons for the dessert bar: Curly Red
Giveaways: personalized chocolate bar (DIY wrapper)

Wala masyadong aasikasuhin except yun DIY dessert bar namin.  I haven't made a reservation at any of those places pa din so open to changes pa.

Any suggestions po of a good resto in qc, budget of 300-400 per head,  preferably around timog area or around up diliman.
Pwede din naman po sa banawe or libis area. Dapat masarap yung food & minimal na lang ang needed na add'l decor & hindi mahirap parking. 50-70 guests lang po kami siguro.

This is for my son's 1st bday & plan ko na isabay yung baptism/dedication.  Hubs and I agreed na no need for program na, except for messages/wishes ng ninong at ninang (and message service ng pastor who will officiate if isasabay nga yung dedication).

We just want a simple eat-eat party pero dapat nice yung venue para maging memorable for everyone and maganda yung pics.

Sis if okay sayo Eastwood area, you may check Bigoli. Okay ang menu nila for kids and adults. At least may kasama ng venue ang food mo they can accommodate from 30 min to 150 max as far as I can remember. Okay din ang menu for kids and adults. If you want sis I can forward you the party packages para makita mo since nag-inquire ako recently for my niece's birthday sana this year kahit matagal pa hehe.

For adults ang nirecommend sakin sa email yung 2.5k group meal good for 10 pax and sa kids naman sis packages start at P160. Post or pm na lang your email add.

did an ocular at kowloon house & shangri-la finest cuisine, west-ave & kowloon.

budget-wise & mas sulit sa kowloon mas maganda at maaliwalas ang function rooms nila. may privacy & own cr per function room. then mas ok ang parking kasi madaming slots in front of the resto mismo.  not sure lang sa food as i havent tried dining there.

sa shangrila, malayo ang parking tapos ang weird ng function rooms.  may mga partition wall /divider panels lang to divide the "rooms". the common hallway serves as the end of your party area (wala ng door) so wala talagang privacy. common din cr. the 2nd floor can accomodate a total of 300 guests so kung 100 lang guests mo, naka-section off lang yung area mo using such divider panel. magkakarinigan talaga kayo ng kasabay mo na nagpaparty & you will see other people na palakad-lakad sa end ng party area mo. mukhang masikip din yung space na alloted altho tama naman na it can seat the number of people specified. sorry ha, pero ang sagwa talaga imho.   i guess masarap talaga ang food duon so laging naire-recco dito sa gt?

^^ nung me inattendan ako birthday party sa Shangri-la, parang nasa 200 guests lang. Pero sila lang sa 2nd floor. Nung family naman kasama ko kumain, sa isang room kami sa baba tapos me nagpaparty sa kabila, hindi naman maingay.. siguro wag lang mataon na me kasabay kang party din..

^^^mura na rin kasi sa shangrila west kaya siguro narerekomenda lagi. Pero totoo yung naobserbahan mo sis kasi naka-attend na ako na puno ang 2nd floor yung hallway nga ang dulo ng pwesto naka-assign sa iyo at parang magulo. Yun nga lang hindi naman lahat ganun ka-particular sa ganyan mga detalye kaya marami talaga silang kliyente. Hindi na ganoon kasarap ang food unlike before na masarap talaga pero lagi pa rin silang puno.
