Yun po. Basta, customers have the right to ask (pero kung paulit ulit, nakakaewan na yun).. And sellers have the right to set the last price.

sellers have to set rules din. And customers have to follow the rules especially sa bayaran at 'keeping-in-touch'..ü

Yung previous post ko, naipost ko lang kasi naiinis ako dahil parang active na naman ang bogus buyers or yung delay ang payments. At naiinis ako dahil parang walang magawa ang sellers sa kanila. Sellers na nga naistorbo, sila pa ang parang 'nahihiya'.. Unfair.

pasalamat nga sila at may GT eh, naaafford na nila yung mga items na di nila usually kayang bilhin in real life (sa malls) kasi yun nga tama ka sis, mga addict sa makeup like us na kailangan lang talaga magdispose ng stash dahil either sawa na sila sa product, hindi bagay or impulse buy

sis FOURever : hello sis, actually pwede ipost mga handles nila dito since may "bad experience" naman with them, for awareness lang naman not para awayin natin sila dito so okay lang, actually may mga ilang sellers na nakapagpost na ng handles in the previous pages, sakin nga im wondering kelan kaya may susuway talaga sa rules ko, kelan ko kaya mapopost ang first ever bogus buyer ko wahahha! naexcite daw ba? haha!

helllo mga sis.. pa-join ha.. ako rin nga eh, kaya i opt for swap nalang kasi i encountered a bogus buyer. ang hirap pa nun, kasi  tiwala ako masyado sa kanya, so ako na nauna na nag ship ng item before she paid. tapos when i checked after a few hours sa bank, wala palang na deposit. nag pay na siya after 2 days kasi daw emergency blah blah.. ang hirap din sa swap kung ma swaplift ka.hehe

^ dapat kasi talaga SOP ng sellers na payment first before you send out anything, unless lang sobrang kakilala mo na talaga yung buyer. prone ka sa goyo nyan, especially when other buyers find out na you're willing to ship items even without confirmed payment.

sa swaps naman, i wont do swaps sa "total stranger" lalo na for cosmetic items, mas type ko makipagswap sa mga established na ang pagiging reliable and honest sa mga description and on how hygienic they use their makeups.

I was contemplating the whole afternoon if I should share this experience with you guys, i wanted to stay silent nalang kaso I think everyone deserves to know about yung mga style ng ibang sellers here.

Ive mentioned in my previous posts na the sellers do have this right to set the prices for the items theyre selling, pero how many of you did swaps here before? ang alam ko kasi about swaps, if brand new, pwede ibase sa SRP sa malls, but some sellers also offer swaps for their items pero kelangan magadd like a hundred bucks. Pero kung used na and the item was bought ng hindi naman sa SRP tapos third hand owner na ang bibilhan mo, tama ba na isell or ideclare ang value based on the SRP sa malls?

just a short overview.

Im selling my Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Calypso COral for Php950.00 and a certain girltalker offered if i can do swaps for the said item (this happened a few days ago), she asked me to visit her ad to check if i see something that i like, apparently, wala akong nagustuhan that time, so i said i dont need anything from her list, and she told me, check back ko nalang her ad in the coming days baka may magustuhan ako.

So this morning, I saw that she updated her ad, she added 1 foundie, around 20% of it is used and she declared a selling price of Php 800 for it. I PMed her and asked her details about the item, to make the long story short, i asked her if pwedeng yun nalang iswap for my calypso coral blush (straight swap pa yan even if id be lugi by 150). To my dismay, ayaw nya ng straight swap she wanted to base the value of the items sa SRP, hers is Php2600.00 daw and mine is Php1700.00. Which i find unfair, kasi hindi naman brand new the items and shes actually selling the item nga for 800, bakit kelangan sa SRP ibase bigla pag swap, when the item is already compromised and depreciated? actually payag na nga ako malugi ng 150 kasi mas mahal yung akin, but she wanted more, she didnt want to trade her item sa ganung fair na deal.

Ang reason nya kasi is sa lahat daw ng swaps na ginawa nya in the past, sa SRP daw sila nagbbase, not in the selling price ng seller, alam ko some people do that, pero hindi naman yung tipong aabot ng sobrang layong difference or to the extent na sa SRP talaga huhugutin yung value. Right? And since both items are already used -- yung akin first hand owner ako, yung kanya third hand na, lugi pa ba siya if she swaps the item with my Php950-worth blush?

I also knew this afternoon na she got the item for Php800 (original price was 1k, but she haggled since she didnt have cash na daw) sa isang Girltalker din (who got the item for 1200 lang rin).

Posting this not to embarass the seller i was about to trade items with kaya im keeping her identity to myself, but just to get an idea of the common SOPs in swapping items, because on my part, i maybe wrong but I feel that the incident was unfair.

I wanna hear your inputs on these ladies. Pa-enlighten naman ako if ever may mali sa perception ko.

^ I have never done swaps before and I am a seller myself, pero nakakainis naman yan! Konting common sense naman and delicadeza sana sa part ng swapper na yan.  It doesn't matter for me ha kung SOP nyayang SRP price na yan, sa tingin ba nya makatarungan yung ganung practice? Para kasing interested talaga sya sa blush mo diba kaya she told you to check her ad, and then when you found something you like nag-pa-add ng money?!  Bilhin mo na lang yung item nya sis, then tell her to buy your blush too at the higher price hahaha!  Kalurkey ang mga distorted logic ng ibang tao~

^sis i had my shares of swaps na din pero never pa ako nakaexperience ng ganyan

usually pag nga used na both items, straight swap lang, except if higher yung value nung isang item

ex. swapping a used GA foundation with a brand new Maybelline Dream Matte (example lang ha)
syempre add si dream matte for GA pero with a reasonable price na based din sa amount na nagamit na kay GA

siguro kung above 50% pa laman ni GA di pa din lugi yun
pero kung 20% na lang laman siguro straight swap

mahirap din ang rules ng swapping
kaso minsan wag naman yung katulad nung ganyan, parang taking advantage na yan sa tingin ko eh..

i just find it weird na willing nga sya ibenta for 800 eh, pero bakit pag swap biglang magsskyrocket yung value.

I have never swapped as well, but I think the fair thing to do would be:

(value swapper got it for) - (value of percent used) = swapping price

In this case, swapper got it for P800, used it (but why is selling price still P800? value of the product should definitely be less than P800), and then wanted to use the SRP of 2.6k.

I just don't understand why it has to based on the SRP especially when the items have been used. Siguro depende na lang on the amount left and sa brand na din. But then if you like each other's items naman, straight swap na usually (like sa 2 swaps ko). No intention of lamangan or something, you just want to be happy with the new items lang naman.

Unfair lang that sa case nyo, the foundie was bought at the same price it is now being sold at yet biglang SRP na agad yung basis, hindi na talaga tama yun. Why sell it at that price pa? I just don't get it. Or maybe I do, I just don't want to think of it na ganun talaga the intention.

chel, thats how i do rin my computation ng items na binebenta ko, kadalasan lower pa than the outcome ang pinepresyo ko. kasi the mere fact na used na, nagdedepreciate talaga the value.

just want to clarify lang also, i posted lang the experience because i felt that it was unfair, and i wanted to ask for the POV ng ibang girltalkers so id be enlightened if ever mali ba ang perception ko or if it was right na madismaya ako sa nangyari.

ang issue lang naman is transparency and being fair sa buyers. kasi kung ganun, parang ang lalabas tuloy, yung blush ko ang parang bumagsak ang value coz i would need to add cash pa for that foundie, na ang price naman ay lower than the selling price for my blush. coz if thats the case, then i shouldve bought the foundie instead para pag nabenta ko si blush, may 150 pa kong kinita..

yun lang naman, like ive said, hindi ko naman pinost itong experience to embarrass anyone, im just here to let myself be corrected if ever may mali sa naging reaction and interpretation ko ng scenario.

coz i got a pm that says na the way i posted the scenario daw is parang showing that the seller has the intention na mang-take advantage. my point lang also is, sige, provided na walang intent na makapan-lamang, ang mangyayari kasi talaga if ever the transaction pushed thru is lugi ako, as in talong talo, when in fact dapat nga kumita pa ako since my item costs 150 pesos more than the price of her merchandise.

another thing the seller mentioned sa PM, kung hindi naman daw ako payag, wala naman swap or bentahan na mangyayari, so its like saying "nasayo naman yun kung payag ka iswap o hindi, kung sa tingin mo naisahan kita, wala ka magagawa, pumayag ka e" sana wala namang sarcasm, yes I did say kanya kanyang seller, kanya kanyang rules, but hey, with proper consideration naman sa buyers sana, hindi yung masyadong enterprising ang mentality since may instances na buyer ka din naman, be fair naman, at least and practice selling ethics.

i mentioned these points the seller PMed me about because i dont find it right na ako pa ang nababatuhan ng sarcasm when ako na nga tong lugi kung sakaling natuloy the transaction. my initial post about this incident is the real scenario that happened, nothing more, nothing less. And i guess a lot of people share the same perception na unfair nga talaga yung ganung klaseng "swap policy".

So i guess, let this be a lesson nalang to everyone who plans to buy and sell here sa GT.

this would probably be the last time ill reply to this thread talking about this issue, i just wanna make my stand clear before ako manahimik about this incident. yun lang po.

Nagbigay sya ng price tapos yung SRP yung basehan bigla nung naging interested ka.. Saka sabi nya di ba. Na parang siya yung mali sa ginawa mong post, eh di magpost din sya dito ng side nya. Hehe. Kung alam nya na tama sya, then she has the right to post here para idefend sarili nya. hay. pwede maglabas ng inis dito? grabe yung buyer ko, sobra tumawad. im selling this item na 150  ang mark-up ko. tapos sabi niya free shipping nalang sana daw. so iasked her kung taga san siya? di siya sumagot and may iba na siyang tinanong. i assumed w/n qc lang pala so sabi ko, sige na nga free shipping na.

 nung nakabayad na siya, tsaka niya sinabi  yung address niya na provincial rate pala.. hahaha. natatawa na lang ako sa inis.

^ sis, siguro medyo may fault ka rin ng konti, coz if i were you, i wouldnt agree na iwaive ang shipping unless malaman ko san exactly ipapadala ang item, may mga buyers na ganyan eh, pahabol effect, hindi ka papansinin until ikaw mag give in sa request nila. ang ending, ikaw pa tuloy talo.
