Suggested Weekend Getaways

Share ko lang sisses. Hubby and I went to Casa San Pablo nung Xmas holidays. We availed the overnight with 3 meals package and the honeymoon suite. I'd say na hindi ako natuwa sa experience namin dito. The price is not worth it. Oo maganda yung place, ok mag-picture-taking lalo na outdoors. Ang hindi ok is yung service nila. We arrived at 10:30am for our 11am check-in time pero past 11 na hindi pa kami makapasok sa room namin coz hindi pa daw nag-checkout yung tao sa room. So mga 11:30 na kami nakapasok. Then, they served lunch ng past 1pm na! As in super gutom na talaga kami, kung hindi pa kami tumambay dun sa dining area nila hindi pa siguro kami maaalalang pakainin. Kasi that time kami pa lang ang tao so siguro mejo tinamad silang magluto agad. Then nung dinner naman, 6pm pa lang naka-serve na yung food, kinatok agad kami sa room at kumain na daw kami kasi madami daw dadating na guests at baka maubusan pa kami. There's nothing special about their menu. Fried chicken/lechon kawali nung lunch, tilapia/pakbet nung dinner. Even yung bfast late din sinerve, almost 9am na! Longganisa at danggit naman yung bfast.
Since it's raining that time, so hindi na kami nakapag-swimming so we just looked forward to the massage/spa. Unfortunately, wala yung magma-massage kasi nakabakasyon daw! So nung afternoon, gusto sana namin mag-videoke kaso wala pa daw yung mag-operate nung system, imagine 3pm na yon ha. Nakapag-videoke kami 8pm na. Yung bathroom naman sa suite, sira na nga yung shower, wala pang hot/cold yung water so imagine how cold it was to take a bath since maulan that time and December pa. So ayun, bored kami since walang tv sa suite, tapos maulan pa. Buti nagdala kami ng laptop and dvd so we just watched movies. Yung mga hotspots nila sira naman yung mga wifi... walang connection so wala rin kwenta. Then upon checkout, pinag-sign lang kami dun sa guestbook nila, then basta na lang kami iniwan while w're signing. Wala man lang "goodbye" or "thanks for staying" na chorva. Haay... the money we paid was not worth it talaga. Sana nag-Nurture Spa na lang kami.

Sa may jolibee don. Tanay proper. Di ko lang sure where to go from there. Di ba Sampaloc Tanay yung pranjettohills? If so, may jeep papuntang Sampaloc dun mismo sa tapat ng jolibee tanay. Ayon. Wala kasi taxi don so dapat alam mo talaga san ka pupunta. . .

^^ gawd sis, i don't know what happened to the service when you guys went to csp.  we were there last nov 12, 2008 lang.  only 3 rooms were occupied that time as far as i know.  early check-in pa kami nun sa casita.     we also availed of overnight stay for 2 with 3 meals.  meals were served on time naman.  eto yung food that we had when we went there:

LUNCH:  crab-corn soup, pinaputok na tilapia, lechon paksiw (so good), fried chicken. plus freshly picked rambutan for dessert (the crew picked them just for us, and we saw them, we were so touched!)

DINNER: chicken-egg noodle soup (not from the can!), relienong bangus with fresh tomatoes (family size), pork sisig, lumpiang ubod, leche flan (the best and the smoothest flan).  complete with flowers, petals and candle-light and cool jazz music.

post-dinner:  candle-lit/torch-lit stargazing on the hammocks with tea.
they even sent a pitcher lemon-flavored water to our room kasi daw we might get thirsty. 

BREAKFAST: sunny side up eggs, danggit, chicken adobo, hot choco with pinipig and coffee.

service was prompt and they gave us ample privacy. they also toured us around and made us check out all the other rooms there.  sobrang ganda ng treatment.

we also enjoyed the pool and everything in the room is functioning.  wala talaga kami na-encounter na problem.  we were even so happy that we gave mr. boots alcantara (the owner) an original copy of our fave classical cd.

ano kaya ang nagyari? di ko talaga maintindihan kung bakit ang layo ng experience nyo sa amin sis, honestly.  sorry.

^ kami naman we got turned off by csp because they charged us everything! they asked us if we wanted coke or coffee and knew na lang they charged us when we were checking out na. kinabuhayan is much better.. bisita talaga trato and mas sulit mas masarap food. gourmet talaga!

^ wala naman kaming ganung experience sis, buti na lang.  no extra charges talaga sa amin.  di kaya may rotation yung attendants dun sa csp? i mean baka may sched sila na iba yung attendants depende sa day kaya may difference sa service?  i have no idea talaga bakit ganito. siguro kasi andun yung mother ni mr.boots, which is vinya alcantara kaya siguro kahit papaano may nagbabantay sa staff nung nandun kami.  this is just my opinion....

so excited to go din to kinabuhayan cafe.  plan na namin to go there nun pang november pero di natutuloy.  a lot closer to nature, and i heard the food is yummy nga.  we'll set a booking there this february.  the place is something we would not allow ourselves to miss.

kung gusto mo malapit lang, sa antipolo!  alam mo yung bar na pinakamataas yata yun.. cloud 9 ang name.  dati may hotel yata or cottages dun mismo.  not sure lang if it's still there.   super nice talaga dun

Ask ko lang po about sa kinabuhayan Cafe, walang bayad ang rooms po ba dito, pero kelangan sa kanila ka bibili ng food na worth 500, tama po ba ako?

Pwede bang mag-overnight sa Caleruega?  I checked their website and i think para sa retreat or gatherings na pang-maramihan lang yata yung accomodations nila?  tama ba?

You can stay at Caleruega pero kailangan married. Kasi hihingan kayo ng copy ng marriage certificate.

Like pag tatlo kayo pumunta don, and kumain kayo three meals, you can get a room for three? or you have to share the room with some other guests?
