Sobra, lalo kapag ako lang magisa. Dami ko naiimagine, iniisip ko kung makikita kaya ang remains ko kapag nagcrash ang plane. LOL.

mas nakakatakot pag lahat na ng passengers nagtitinginan.

When I was a flight attendant, it irritated me as it would disrupt the flow of our service.  We had to stop for safety reason.  When I travel on off days, as a passenger (and still with the airline), it would irritate me still as services get rough and I hate to be served na parang rushed or abrupt masyado.  But now that I no longer work, funny, it stresses me up kasi parang I have to remind myself of the oxygen masks, location of life jackets, the life rafts, things like these and the fact that I can't get up from my seat and call the flight deck to talk to the captain if everything's okay, gives me the shivers...turbulence is no fun and people do get hurt.

I try not to let it bug me.
Andoon na ako, saan pa ako tatakbo?

As long as I am confident I know what the emergency measures are ... I consider it as a fleeting inconvenience.  Getting scared or anxious will not solve anything.

I pray though before i leave my house that that my/our trip goes well.

yes, natatakot, but i try not to let fear get the better of me lalo na pag mag isa lang ako bumibyahe...
there was this one time, i was on a flight from hongkong going to shanghai, we were on a very big plane but siguro about 15 or less lang kami passengers and may bagyo talaga.. it was announced that there was a turbulence, natakot ako kasi naman, ako lang mag-isa panay strangers pa kasama ko, baka hindi nila ko maintindihan pag sumigaw ako ng help if ever magkandaloko-loko na di ba kasi panay chinese sila... siguro mga half an hour yun na ganun... kalma lang ako pero super isip na ko kung pano ba ang safety measures ko... haaaay.

^hehe that's a funny thought, sis...pero what if di mag-explode ang plane agad, and it lands in the water and you freeze in the ocean for a few hours muna before dying of hypothermia?  mahirap din hehe

oops sorry OT.

turbulence...thankfully, so far mild palang yung mga na-experience ko.  i know of someone na naka experience ng sobrang turbulence talaga. when the plane "dropped," their heads hit the ceiling.  i dont know how this was possible...maybe it was so sudden and they didn't have their seatbelts on?  kaya ako kahit the fasten seatbelt sign is off, di ko tinatanggal. you'll never know...

^ korek! yes sis, that's possible. i rode airphil once and super liit lang ng plane, may turbulence, i literally left my butt in the air and when it dropped, ang sakit sa puwet. promise! that's when i vowed never to ride airphil again.

meron naman ako isang experience from bora to manila. our flights was at 4pm and there's signal number 2 in caticlan. cebu pac is really matapang, they didn't cancel their flights while the rest already cancelled. i tried to call to rebook the flight for tomorrow pero 6k na babayaran so sabi ko go na lang. and we rode the cebu pac express plane. yung maliit wherein the stairs is also the door of the plane. super scared kasi naalala ko yung airphil experience ko. we were already in the aircraft super init na but we did not go yet kasi the pilots daw are waiting for the weather to be cleared. o d ba? tapos ayun take off na, super alog and there were several drops. the whole time very bumpy talaga yung ride and all i could see from my window is gray (clouds or whatever) and the entire trip the seatbelt sign is on!!!!! todo cringe ako and kapit to my fiance who at that time was trying to pretend to read a book. pansin ko he was just pretending kasi he never flipped a page in the book. tapos when we landed in manila, he admitted ayaw niya daw magpakita ng takot kasi takot na daw ako.

^^ sis, are you sure walang pain sa aircrash? d ba ang ikamamatay mo nga is magkahati-hati katawan mo kasi matatamaan ka ng debris? yikes! morbid talaga. ang painless death is when you just sleep.

No pain pagsumabog ang aircraft agad...but in most cases you have to go thru decompression and you will struggle to breathe pa muna before you pass out.  And it's a painful experience, hypoxia.  Also you will be hit pa muna by so many flying debris, pain will be your middle name. (the compartments above your head will open and everything will fly out;  if you happen to be standing or seating but with no seatbelt on, you will be plucked from your seat or from where you're standing and straight you'll go up.  BANG!--either you break your neck or your spinal. The galley has very heavy carts and containers that can fly out to the cabin and cut your fingers or hit your face.  You can grab the drop-down oxygen mask to help you, but there's no assurance na magwork well and pagnag-panic ka it's difficult to breathe well lalo...and small aircrafts walang drop-down masks :D  And pilots will do their best to go for emergency landing (water or land): you have to wish hard that the set of crew with you were trained well, brave and may presence of mind or else.......

Sorry for the morbidity of it.  =(

That's why it is VERY important to keep your seatbelt on THROUGH OUT the flight.  =)

Also, heart attack is painful, btw.  That's why they tend to grab their chest before they pass out.  The pain will be incredible.

i'm sure after reading all the comments here ayaw na rin ni prish mamatay sa plane crash!

^sis i guess they are less scared kasi they know exactly what's going on. kung wala ng hope, at least they know.  unlike the passengers, until the last minute they are left guessing.

did you hear about capt. sully who successfully landed a plane near NYC?  bilib ako sa kanya i heard the recordings of his communications with the tower when the plane was going down.  he was so calm and you could tell he was in charge kahit talagang malala na yung situation. idol talaga!
