Best Lechon

For my daughter's 1st birthday party, we ordered from General's Lechon. Sarap, and crunchy pa balat even when naka-mix na with the meat sa chafing dish na nasa buffet table. Pati guests namin nasarapan. Malasa din ang meat.

Medyo konti lang nakain namin sa party kasi busy sa pag-asikaso ng guests so after a few days, nag-order kami sa kanila ng per kilo. Free delivery naman e. Sarap pa din, kahit na last na yung napunta sa amin (got the last 2.5kg).

my family always like lydia's lechon the best lechon in town malasang malasa. minsan you don't need to add sauce na cause it's very tasty naman talaga. everytime we have a special occasion in our family yun talaga laging nauubos at kulang na kulang pa.

When in cebu i always go for CNT.. i like my lechon salty kase. 

in Manila my favorite is the cebu lechon at salcedo market.. tapos Elarz..

I've never tried cebu lechon so gusto ko um-order ng or christmas or new year. Good thing may delivery na sila sa Manila. Still undecided pa nga lang kung Rico's, CNT or Zubuchon. Whaddya guys think? Advice naman sa mga expert jan, hahahaa

^I'm not an expert pero once ko lang natikman CNT and Zubuchon on my Cebu trip. CNT a bit maalat (parang may vetsin), Zubuchon Westernised lechon, may rosemary but pantay lang sila for me.

I'm not blown away by those two, not much difference with Manila lechon.

Manila Lechon walang lasa, matabang kahit may sarsa. Ewan ko ba bakit sika na sikat Lydia's lechon.
Masarap at uso ngayon Boneless Belly Lechon. Masarap yung sa Tatang's. Kahit hindi na mainip, crispy pa din yung balat

@geekgurl, agree on Lydia's hindi naman masarap, super average lang. But thanks for the Boneless Belly Lechon, baka yan na lang try ko. Mahilig ako sa crispy lechon balat eh

^may delivery meaning sa house mismo sis or airport lang? Rico's kasi matagal ng may ganyang arrangement kaso mas ok if talagang sa bahay na ideliver na hindi praktikal sa ganyang negosyo.

Maalat nga ang cnt kaya gusto ko kasi may lasa ng lemongrass ang meat mismo tapos hindi matabang. Sarap isawsaw sa suka

^talaga sis? Hindi ko alam laging sa airport lang sabagay puros cnt kami the past 3 years. Mukhang prito nga ang bellychon na nakikita ko at sabi sa mga comments crispy pa raw kahit ilang oras na naideliver.

Angel, overhyped kasi ang Cebu lechon kaya nang matikman ko akala ko malaki agwat ng sarap nila pero for me hindi. Kaya ko nasabi not much difference, and to be fair, hindi rin naman ako masyado impressed with Manila lechon. I don't even eat lechon with Mang Tomas or suka or kahit anong sauce or dip.

CNT's meat was tender and pinkish though with the saltiness na parang may konting MSG. Zubuchon, more of gourmet and Westernised and the meat was well done.

Mas nagustuhan ko pa nga the spicy Cebu Original Lechon Belly pag bagong luto lang.

Yung Tatang's na natry ko sa Cebu branch to ha. It's not fried. Ihaw style din mala Rotisserie yung lutuan katulad sa Andok's. Nakita ko pano nila niluto.
Ewan ko lang sa ibang tatang's franchise branch.

My auntie's from Cebu, pag pumupunta siya dito nagdadala siya lechon from Rico's.  Yun daw masarap sa Cebu. Madami kasing Lechon business sa Cebu eh. Parang every corner meron na, kahit sa mall meron, so depende na lang talaga sa panlasa niyo.

Yes yung ibang lechon may vetsin. Dami din rock salt nilalagay para malasa. Ang iba naman kasi they dip it with Sukang Pinakurat. Try niyo, sarap. Tapos pag may sobra eh di paksiw na.

Zubuchon and Rico's. Hindi ako pala kain ng lechon pero sa Rico's napakain ako ng balat na never ko ginawa.

I never liked Manila lechon, but for my son's birthday my mom ordered Elars. She got two small pigs and my goodness, it was delicious!!!!

Went to Japan and as usual lechon ang request na pasalubong ng brother ko. 3 years ago, Original Lechon Belly from Cebu yung dinala namin (di pa uso lechon belly dito sa Manila that time so we ordered from Cebu pa, then picked-up sa airport dito). This time, we brought garlic lechon from General's Lechon. Yun kasi lechon nung 1st birthday ng anak ko at nasarapan kami. Nagpadeliver lang kami ng 5kls, 4kls dinala namin sa Japan. Sarap pa din kahit ilang days na, sa microwave nga lang nila iniinit e.
