hindi na sis kelangan magpareserve, punta lang kayo don. entrance lang yon per head, pwede kayong bumili ng food sa loob mura rin lang naman.

almost last night ko lang then naisip if saan ko dadalhin ang isang tourist or never been sa manila?then i come upon this thread,so siguro ang isa sa naisip ko talaga is ano ang type nung tao talaga.at depende rin sa ilang days sya dun magt stay and ang budget na rin.

kung mall ang pag uusapan,panalo ang manila/metro manila.from glorietta,greenbelt area to ortigas down to MOA.not to mention yung nasa cubao at north edsa.

then pasyal aside nga sa mga manila ocean park at enchanted kingdom at mga zoo's if mahilig sa animals pati na rin yun eco park.

third is yung mga historical churva na rin like yun sa mismong manila na like fort santiago,intramuros,ccp area,isama na ang luneta please

is carlos celdran's walking tours worth it? SO is coming to manila and we'd want to immerse ourselves with manila culture.

and is there any sit down type dinner cruise here?

we're looking into going to corregidor, manila ocean park, hit the malls, and go to the spa.

any more suggestions?

siguro, depende sa interest ng tao kung saan ko sila dadalhin.  may mga naging bisita kami na gusto lang nila e mamili.  at ang gusto pa nila e ma-experience  talaga ang tiangge.  kaya sa greenhills at sa divi sila dinala.  meron naman na mahilig gumimik, so The Fort, Ayala Center at Malate.  meron namang gustong mag-cultural immersion.  gusto daw ma-experience na maging local.  pinag-jeep ko, tapos MRT in rush hour.

What I usually do kapag nagpupunta ng Manila is i always bring my MINI printable (METRO MANILA) map from internet... Maraming kalye kasi sa Maynila, kaya yun I always bring it, para alam ko kung yung next destination ko eh walking distance lang or I need to ride LRT or taxi. Hirap kasi magtanong tanong sa Manila, baka lokoloko ang mapagtanungan mo...

And I only wear shorts, o simple clothes, para di head turner (from thieves) ang hitsura mo, hehe

buti na lang i found this thread. i used to live in manila pero that was way back then at the las pinas area pa so i am not used to commuting sa manila ngayon. currently bf is in valenzuela for a training for a month so we agreed na sa manila na lang kami mag celebrate ng birthday niya.

am good with manila. ang gusto ko lang naman puntahan eh Alabang Town Center, MOA and Greenbelt hehe mall rat talaga. syempre wont forget 168 too. pero am sure si bf hindi mag eenjoy sa ganun so i was thinking of bringing him sa manila ocean park (haven't been there too) - ask ko lang mga sis compared sa HK ocean park, how's the manila counterpart? Worth it bang puntahan?

gusto ko rin siyang dalhin sa luneta and baywalk. malapit lang right? hehe... feed back naman please. TIA

1. From the airport, what is the best mode of transportation to UP Diliman and how much?
2. How much ang travel time from PICC to UP DIliman?
3. Ano ang murang mga hotels pero disente naman  near UP Diliman?
4. Ano ang mga tourist destination near UP?

hello sis somar. i myself is a probinsyana but i've been here in manila for almost 4 years now. i will try to answer  your q's to the best of my knowledge.

1. taxis are always the best mode of transportation for me especially if you want to go directly to your destination. There are 3 types of taxis in the airport but the  cheapest would be the metered taxis on the farthest taxi terminal. going to UP, it would be around P300-P350 maximum.

2. from PICC which is from roxas blvd., you can take fx going to sucat baba ka ng baclaran then take the bus going to fairview. baba ka ng philcoa and then take UP jeep from there. this would take about 2-3 hours depending on the traffic. fares are: fx to baclaran: 15, bus to philcoa 35, jeep to UP 7.

3. yung fersal inn sa kalayaan mukhang okay naman. tricycle ka lang going to philcoa then jeep to UP. alam ko meron pang ibang pwedeng tuluyan in matalino, and kalayaan and inner streets di lang ako familiar. mostly kasi dito boarding houses.

4. tourist destination.. hmmmm la mesa ecopark is near. trinoma and sm north is one ride away. meron din jeep across commonwealth ave. going to quiapo and from there you can go to the church or go to divisoria.

been working here in UP Diliman campus since i came here in manila pero di ko pa din memorize places sa UP.

i was intrigued with the hop on hop off jeepney tour.. it's like what i've read about the city tour buses in KL..pero parang yung jeepney tours natin eh pang foreign tourist lang. P2,500 for the intramuros cultural tour? err grabe..

Oo, sobrang worth it ang Manila Ocean Park. It's not just a park to see dolphins and fish. Pero iba't ibang klasesng species ang makikita nyo dun, yung mga tipong hindi mo aakalaing nage-exist na creatures, you will be amazed and appreciate God's creations pag makita mo mga fish don. Meron din mermaid show sa loob, for free. Mageenjoy talaga kayo. Tapos tabi sha ng Manila bay, so you get to enjoy the fresh air by the sea (after ng sight seeing sa mga fish). May souvenir shop din, magaganda mga products nila. Try it!

I did a Carlos Celdran Imelda Tour with my expat counterparts when they visited and they had a blast!
I was so happy din kasi i got tidbits of the past na hindi ako aware of dati.
You guys should try it.

Was able to sign up for the City Art Tour in Bonifacio Global City when he did that stint too.
