Baby carriers/slings/pouches

I think so pero i am not so sure  madalas kasi ako sa baby company sa podium. Dun, sure ako na meron. Nung once nagpunta kami sa baby company sa rockwell, meron din. So i guess meron sya sa lahat ng baby company

Up to what age can slings be used? We are traveling in December and my baby will be 9 months old by then. In addition to the stroller I'm thinking of buying a sling to get around. Will a 9 month old baby be too big for a sling?

naku sis nabili na ng friend ko hehe.. any age pede.. hanggat kaya mo buhatin ang anak mo.. mabibili mo sya online mga aroung $40-$50 now.. pero ako plan ko na lang DIY.. bili na lang ako tela sa fabric shop.. mga 15 yards.. 3 moby wrap na magagawa nun.. kung saya naman mga 2 yards ng cotton fabric pede na.. di naman kasi need gumastos ng malaki para sa carrier.. praktikal lang.. dami mga WAHMS nagbebenta ng home made wraps, pouch, slings.. kasi madali lang naman.. meron non-sewn pero pede din naman tahi.. thanks to youtube hehe dami ko natutunan kung pano gumawa ng mga carrier na non-sewn.. since wala kami makina and ok kasi makakapili ka pa ng design na gusto mo.. customized ika nga.. but di ko pa maasikaso babywearing now.. kasi preggy ako.. paglabas na lang ni baby I will post pic of DIY wraps, pouch and saya

Hi sis grayce! Nakakita na ko ng babygearz dito.. Totoo bang mas maganda sya sa ergo? Hehe.. Yun kasi sabi e, nakabili din ako online ng ergo pero binalik ko kasi may damage e.. Kaya yun binalik ko na lang.. Then i saw babygearz ayun nagorder ako.. Wala pa sakin e, peero baka daw by nextweek andito na.. maganda ba sya?

meron sa FB group na GT na mommy na gumawa ng DIY na saYa carrier.. katuwa.. handsewn lang.. french seam ang gamit.. ang ganda pa ng fit.. yay1 excited na rin ako gumawa ng sarili kong saya carrier.. the fabric she used is cotton spandex.. yung fabric din ng saya na VTB.. eh magkano ba ganun di ba nasa 1400? eh kung bili ka ng tela 2yards ng cotton spandex its around 400-500 only o baka wala pa....

^^we prefer this over ergo due to the weight limit. and it was originally designed by a dad who works in singapore military if i remember it right (we met him during a baby fair), hence explains the huge weight limit & kaya madami rin cya mga safety features like yung sa buckle sa waist etc.

I read a blog post of jenny from chronicles of a nursing mom na apparently di safe ang cradle carry and kangaroo carry for babies, so pano na i-ca-carry si baby? This slIng thing is really complicated but i really want to weary child kaya lang dinko sya maisama pa sa labas coz no yaya up until yesterday...

Would you ladies know if there's another baby wearing seminar soon? Id love to attend para matutuan ako pano gamitin yung next9 sling ko.

Sis difference is with the fabric. Ssk is cotton spandex while vtb is nylon spandex

sis ang nabasa ko sa blog nya eh ang di advisable is front carry hindi cradle carry.. cradle nga yung madaling gawin sa mga saya or pouch.. yung kangaroo eh advisavble lang sa mga babies na malambot pa tuhod or di pa nakakalakad kasi kung nakangaroo yung toddler maiinis yun at mahirap ng ibend.. yung front carry di sya advisable ng matagalan..

how should baby's feet/legs be positioned in Yakap hold for the Saya carrier? I can't seem to get it...ayan my baby got annoyed hahahaha

^^sis in the babywearing talk during the Expo Mom last weekend, it was mentioned nga that the latest update nga from doctors daw is that hindi na advisable ang cradle carry kasi the baby's chin is too close to his chest daw thus restricting breathing.  So even for newborns, the advised carry na is the yakap style or yung nakatayo facing you.  They actually gave an example of a mom using that particular carry with her 4 week old baby e.  Ayun sharing lang! Anyway with re DIY ng mga pouches/slings, shocks hindi ko alam na meron na pala mga tutorials on that! Sayang i just bought pa naman a saya vtb!

Moms... as a user of ring sling and Saya, this much I can say... baby wearing is a lot like breastfeeding, it requires the right info (so watch the videos), practice (don't put your child in when they're asleep or upset, if you're just learning how) and confidence

it's a lot easier to learn to use slings talaga if you can be taught by someone already using it... if only to give you an actual living model (tipong, possible kasi nagawa ng iba)... so meet with friends who are using one

one disadvantage din pag front facing ang baby mo (and hindi na newborn) is they tend to reach for more things... that was the only downside for me when I was wearing my baby and trying to do chores, dumadami chores ko minsan kasi kung ano-ano hinahablot... how much more if they're facing front and really seeing everything there is to reach for?

and most carriers can be used up to 2 years (the hydrids, even longer)... 2 years kasi even though slings, pouches, carriers, etc help distribute the weight when you carry a child... you should also 1) teach them to walk on their own most of the time and 2) care for your back

^even with the feet tucked into the sling? My baby is 2.5 months lang. The video shows the carry for babies 6 months and up (according to the saya manual). Should the legs also be straddling me when tucked inside the saya?

Na-appreciate ko lalo yung ergo carrier namin when we went to baguio. Everyday gamit namin sa pamamastal except sa john hay at bcc kasi yun stroller pwede doon at hindi sumakit likod ko o ni hubby.
