hi mga sis! i actually want to buy the aprica carrier din kasi nga pwede siya from newborn to toddler kaso ang problem is sabi ng cousin ko nakaka-sakang daw sa babies ang paggamit ng mga carriers in general? mga mommies who use carriers, is this true?

re slings or pouches -- ask ko lang ano better yung Saya carrier or un pouch from indigo baby?

bought chicco baby carrier today for my 1 month old son. ok din pala to sa baby since may support yung likod nya. plan ko bumili naman ng saya carrier pag medyo malaki laki na sya at matigas na ang likod nya.

^nope its not. there are things na napapagawa sa baby minsan that causes this. like sa SIL ko, but it was corrected through therapy pa.

@ayen & grayce -- ah ok, that's very reassuring! natakot kasi ako when my cousin said that e! not to mention nalungkot kasi gusto ko talaga bumili ng carrier!

Tama ka sis ayen, ok nga yung mga carriers kasi may support etc siya for baby.  Sis ayen, hm yun chicco na carrier mo? Ako rin type ko yung pouches pero not when small pa siya, siguro when 4 months up na siya.  I noticed din na masmahal yung pouch from indigo baby than saya, tama ba? Pero dito mukhang masmarami ang gumagamit ng saya e!

^yung chico carrier ko was Php1699 sa baby co. pinagpilian ko to tsaka safety 1st carrier. same price nila. mas matigas yung likod ng sa safety 1st kaya lang ang taas masyado, di na kita si baby. di ako familiar sa pouch eh, saya carrier lang yung naresearch ko.

i bought a indigo manila pouch but my son doesn't like to be in it.

^^^basta wag lang patatayuin si baby ng maaga, kasi like for example sa son ko, he's turning 5mos already and meron yung iba pinapa "tayo" na nila pero with support naman, ayun ang nakakacause ng sakang kasi soft pa yung legs nya technically. recently ko lang rin nalaman from my husband na pinatheraphy pa SIL ko when she was younger and yun ang naging cause...

my son is super happy every time i put him in his baby bjorn, pero kamusta naman weight limit is only 25lbs... and my son is 17lbs already

^ah ganun ba yun sis! thanks for the info ha? I will keep that in mind & dapat masabihan ko din ang mga tao sa bahay esp my mom para huwag nilang gawin ito!!! Sis ask ko lang saan ka nakabili ng baby bjorn mo na carrier? TIA!

@ayen -- sis nakita ko na rin kahapon sa baby co itong chicco & safety 1st carrier but hindi ko nabuklat e.  i just checked for the price although i noticed nga na parang mataas yung padding sa back nun sa safety first.

^ay i don't know where in manila may baby bjorn ha, i'm based kasi here in singapore but you can try mothercare, yung mothercare kasi dito may baby bjorn.

I'm so loving my saYa now.
My baby loves it too.
When we did our grocery, parang wala kaming kasamang baby, sobrang settled.
And ok din during travel, hindi fussy si baby. =)

for me the ergo baby carrier is the best. no pain in my back and shoulders. i can carry pa my son in three different positions - back, front, and hip.

i also have saya carrier and my baby was indeed satisfy pagnandun siya sleep lang siya feeling ko mas nakakatulog pa siya dun kesa sa stroller. natry ko na din siyang gamitin sa mall, grocery at parang wala akong dalang bata. super sulit ito sa amin.

sis ayen, we just bought the safety first.  nafo-fold yung isang side, para hindi gaanong naka-tago si baby.  ok lang kay baby kasi she can support her back na...
we really compared and tested these 2brands.  pero i think both of them pose the same problem: yung 2 strings (left & right) na malapit sa sides ng head ni baby at i-co-connect towards the chest ng nagbubuhat ay pweding maka-puwing or tumama sa mata ni baby, specially at manipis lang yung string na iyun.  ganun din ang plastic na pang-fasten together nung string, parang masakit kung tamaan ng mata ni baby...  yung strings din mismo na usually ay mahaba at may excess length, pwedi ring maka-tusok sa mata ni baby...

kaya super ingat kami na hindi tumama ang ulo ni baby sa left & right strings na iyun at tinatago ko rin yung excess length ng string... unlike nung nakita ko sa baby bjorn na site, walang ganitong problem kasi hindi nakalabas yung string, may cushion at walang nakalabas na excess strings...

chicco go marsupio. safe for newborns and not as hard as the other carriers. sayang nga, if maraming choices of slings, mas maganda iyon for newborns.

I want to buy a Saya, kaya lang ang hirap maghanap nung gusto kong color sa online resellers. It's also difficult to determine kung aling type ang kukunin ko, kasi I'm worried that the fabric might not be suitable to the weather, pawisin pa naman yung anak ko. We might try going to try Babyland so we can choose better.

Any advice from Saya users here? Mas presko ba yung SSK or Versatekk?
