Baby carriers/slings/pouches

Im planning to get a sling for my little one, he's fat and Im petite, we need something more versatile than a pouch.

^ sis, what's the usual carry position na gamit nyo sa Saya carrier?

my friend gave me the r9 ring sling and i love it! baby carriers are so so convenient when you go to malls. medyo mainit nga lang. i just need more practice pa. sometimes i carry too low kaya sumasakit likod ko. naiinis lang ako sa extra fabric.

sa saya kasi i only tried the front carry position when we went to babyland. both nakaharap si baby sa paligid and naka harap sa akin. yun lang ata alam ng nandun sa babyland e. di ba parang naka X lang sya crotch area ng baby? confortable kaya si baby pag matagal na carry? or may mas better na carry position?

^ hi sis, nung mga 1-2 months si baby, yung sangol position si baby.  she can sleep there.  most of the time nakaharap siya sakin.  but when shes up, i put her in a pod position, yung na ka indian sit siya sa loob.

now, i put her in front of me, she face me and her legs are open supported by the Saya at the butt and naka loop yung legs nya sa Saya for sull support.  She likes it, easy for her to look around and she can sleep when she wants to.

yes, medyo mainit mag baby carry, kaya dapt sa cool weather or pag nag mall!

Check the manual and the website, they have different position there.

i used a sling for my eldest and it was very helpful. esp during the time when we were traveling. i find it more convenient than the stroller. when we're abroad, aliw yugn mga foreigners. it's not used in europe as compared to in US.

here naman in Philippines, kapag mga matatanda you'd hear na magiging sakang daw baby ko bec i hip-carry my daughter while she's on the sling. lol!

Hi mga sis na baby wearers  I am thinking of babywearing na rin, kasi gusto ng baby ko na laging nakadikit sa akin eh and mahilig din siya na lagi siyang karga or cuddled, my baby is about 2months pa lang, no steady neck pa, pero she can lift and face left and right na rin pag nakadapa, ask ko lang kung anong mas magandang baby carrier na pwede sa 2 months, I am torn kasi between indigos baby pouch,ring sling and saya eh.

hello mommies i bought a sling yung RJ baby sling ba yun. hanggang ngayon di ko pa nagagamit i cant figure out kasi kung pano. my baby is turning two months. si zeny yung lactation consultant we asked her kung ano pikamaganda sabi nya ring sling daw. ngayon nagsisisi ako bakit di ako nagpaturo sabi nya [textspeak!] tuturuna nya ko pero pag andito sabi nya panoorin ko daw muna video, natapos tuloy 5 sessions ko sa kanya di nya ko naturuan kasi sabi nya dapat daw gising si baby eh tulog si baby nung nagpapaturo ako.

i didnt find it comfy for that, though i hold baby in a cradle position in the saya mga 103 mos.

  there's only 1 kind of saya, fabric and size differs.  try to measure your size with the baby.  the fabric expands.

hi, joining this thread, i'm interested din kasi with the Saya carrier.  question lang, i know it's okay pero i guess i'm just looking for an assurance...

ok lang ba na folded yung legs ng baby sa pouches/slings?  di ba harmful sa legs nila yun kahit for newborns? paranoid lang ba ko masyado? tnx!

pag newborn no, i use the newborn position or the one baby facing me.  pag folded yung feet, like the pod.  my baby at 4 months like doing it.  she enjoys it.  para siyang naka indian sit sa loob.  so its not folded.  i made sure na string legs na si baby.  but she just loves being in the saya and seeing the world.

All carriers should position baby with their knees higher than their bottom. Facing outwards, (unless baby is placed in a frog-legged position), hangs baby by the crotch, risking hip and pelvis development, and causes baby’s spine to curve at the base like an adult’s spine rather than in the primary c-curve that is necessary for optimal spine development and future health.

medyo naliwanagan naman ako.  i was thinking kasi baka nakaka-strain sa legs ng baby yung pagkaka-bent ng legs nila, di naman pala.

nakabili ako last month ng ringsling sa sm, kasi when i went sa gale wala na pala yung babyland eh gusto ko pa naman sana yung saya carrier, so anyways, nung ni try namin si baby sa ring sling, medyo ok siya nakapag breastfeed pa siya, tapos the next day pinalabhan ko yung sling, tapos nung ni try ulit namin parang nadudulas na yung tela sa rings, pano ko ba maayos ulit toh?

bought the saya (versatek) for me and my baby who is 2months old and we both love it.  thankful ako sa thread na to because I was torn between a sling and a pouch and I did not know what to buy. This thread helped me decide what's best for me and my baby. Hehe! Thanks sa lahat ng nagbigay ng feedback. My sister who is giving birth this month also plans to buy a saya just like mine kasi she saw how comfy my baby is whenever we use it.
