i noticed that i am prone to UTI after having sex with my boyfriend. i don't like to take antibiotics whenever i have one because i think i am getting immune. is there a way wherein i can prevent uti after doing the deed? need your help. i consulted my obgyne before and she prescribed a medicine that i can take 1 hour before of after contact but i don't like drinking medicines. can i take cran uti as supplements? and what are the precautions i have to do in order to avoid uti.

sis you have to get your boyfriend tested too. coz uti can be transmitted. so even if you are already well and you two did it, chances are you will have uti again.

drink plenty of water... 8 glasses a day or more..
cranberry juice
always keep it clean.. even your bottom
Make it a habit to urinate before and after sex...
wipe from front to back...

I agree with sis fifigirl pa test mo din si bf sis...
sabi nga din ng OB ko malakas din makapag cause ng UTI ang pantyliners proven ko din kc simula nung nag stop na talaga ko gumamit pantyliners di na ko ngkaka UTI pag may taghabol lang talaga.

Cranberry juice prevents uti..It works by preventing bacteria from sticking to the walls of the bladder where it can multiply and cause infection. Cranberry juice acts like a natural antibiotic to the urinary system.

If u dont like the taste, u can take cran uti or any cranberry capsules...

cranberry supplements prevents bacteria from sticking to the bladder wall.

urinating before and after sex helps too.

bacterial vaginosis also can mimic symptoms of UTI

ang layman's term for this is "honeymoon cystitis"... diba some people have this misconception na ladies should urinate after intercourse para di mabuntis?

the real reason behind why ladies have to urinate and wash the privates after intercourse is to prevent microorganisms that could enter the urethral opening... kaya hygiene ang number 1 na makakahelp to prevent UTIs, not to mention the diet, drink a lot of water and acidify the urine by taking cranberry juice (this works best to acidify the urine).. HTH..

They're right. You need to pee after sex. This usually happens to women with short urethra(s?). If you don't want to force yourself to pee after, bili ka na lang ng maraming cranberry juice. Kaya lang di masarap.

i think mas effective yata cranberry juice...kase its really the juice na nire recommend for urinary tract health...

Ako grabe din mag UTI what i noticed was i usually get it pag "dry" ako during the deed. One thing you can do to avoid getting infected is to drink a lot of water to flush out the bacteria.

i was recently diagnosed with UTI when I had my physical exam for my training. My physician just required me to take antibiotics twice a day for 7 days.

so, let's say if your bf has UTI, you should wait na lang for your bf to get cured muna before doing the "deed" para di ka magka-UTI.. kase women are prone to UTI's daw than men eh.. anyway, baka pede mag-condom na lang para hindi mo ma-acquire yung bacteria??? pwede nga ba yun?
