Thank you all again!
Yes, re Hitler -- coz when they are very young.. a kid will look at the parents as "the Bible", the god... kasi wala pa masyadong concept yan of God kahit na ba sinasabay mo sa pagdasal dasal mo di ba.
Atchaka ayoko kasi na may fear of God ... as in... you will go to hell if you do this and that. OMGrief!
Malalagay sa subconscious nang bata na God is vengeful, God is not an understanding God, etc etc.
Pinapatulan ni God petty matters... when well, we fall/.slip, we repent, we improve, etc etc di ba.
Eh puede naman sabihin na this or that should be done coz it is the right thing to do... as in the context of being fair, of respecting all (even househelp), of treating people as human beings regardless of how kapal their wallet is di ba....
OT na ito pero sige pag usapan na natin at baka makalimutan pa natin.
1 of the things you can brainwash a kid with while young, na mahirap na when old or na expose na to nursery or even pre-school is:
Take care of your things
Do not get what is not yours
Talk nicely to ALL people.. anybody higher than you is Manong, Manang or Tita, Tito, Ate or Kuya.... ganoon
Always greet people (even if you do not like them) if they come into the room you are in, or if you go into a room they are in; or if you bump into them with your yaya.... If they ignore you, that is their bad manners, not yours.
Greet ALL, hindi lang yung nagbibigay sa yo ng birthday gift.
Do not eat if you will not share, or if there is not enough to share .... dito talaga Hitler ako. If my daughter passes by the drive-thru for example, she has to buy for herself and her yaya and driver. Once, she cried coz the driver did not want to order anything, she got frustrated. I told the driver.. kung busog ka pa order ka na lang ng drink, or french fries (my drivers love french fries, ewan ko kung bakit). Now school break is an exemption, kasi lahat naman may baon.

SAVE ... it is never too early, kids are smart... train mo to put aside in a big piggy bank a part of everything given. Eh di nasa subconscious nya that kelangan may maiwan na nakatabi.
Atchaka, eto sabi ni Achi.... sobra daw ako! but time will tell, no harm in being a Hitler. When we buy a car, another house, or take a trip... kahit na ba sabihin mong below 7 pa ang anak ko... I say.. you know, we worked hard and did not spend everything. We saved a long time to buy this car, this house, to take this vacation, whatever.
Parang naka ukit na sa utak nya na big-ticket items take time to save up for. Ang mga bata kasi ngayon per my friend the child psychologist... sanay sa instant gratification.
Oh, 1 of you sana start a thread on what values or rules we can instill in our young kids.... as in young ha, 5 and below; and how we go about being a "Hitler".
God bless all!
Ako kasi, I do not underestimate kids nowadays... mga alisto yan. madali maka grasp ng concept. The best thing talaga is "monkey see, monkey do" (I am not being insulting here ha.)
