yung reason why they only mingle with their own age group is maybe because yung high respect nga nila for 'senior'.

most gurls may be/or appear to be conservative but i had a female korean officemate before na naging gf ng guy officemate ko. si guy officemate eh may live-in partner. the korean girl is aware naman bout the guys relationship.

wala nga silang monthsary, pero they celebrate the 100th day. yung isa kong kakilalang korean guy eh nagbigay ng 100 roses sa gf niya. sosyal diba.

^^^conservative kasi sila sis, especially the girls, they have to be wholesome through and through.. one "scandal" could bring much controversy to them.. kaya nga never umaamin mga celebs na may gf/bf na sila unless papakasalan na nila ito.. tsaka nakakatakot ang mga fans na korean, parang stalker and gangster ang dating, sobrang naloloka talaga sila sa mga idols nila. :)

based on what i watch (koreanovelas), ito ang napansin ko sa kanila
1. mahilig sila sa the more you hate the more you love. inaaway nila first yung girl when they like her
2. wala silang monthsary, pero they celebrate the 100th day :)
3. mahilig sila magkaraoke tapos maglalasing
4. kuripot yata, mahilig sa sidewalk lang kumain
5. gusto nila ng girly girls.. i rarely see korean girls wearing jeans.. high heels palagi and dresses
6. dapat slim and long haired
7. mahilig sila magbigay ng small gifts

i'll post more soon :)

How to Date a Korean Guy (nakita ko lang 'to sa internet.. haha read on kakatawa and iba pero most of them are true.) ;)

 1.  KISS UP TO HIS MOTHER! This is one of the most important rules to dating a Korean man. His mother influences his life in a very real way, so be nice to her. Or else she can make your life an eternal hell (no joking about this one).
   2. Try to be thin. Almost every American woman that lives in Korea is FAT and UGLY. Sorry girls but you are. So try to stay as much as you can from this stereotype.
   3. Go the 2002 World Cup with your face painted like the Korean flag.
   4. Play games. If you know how great but if you don't LEARN. Starcraft, Broodwar, Lineage, PUMP and DDR. This is in order not to embarrass him at the arcade, if you do he will secretly resent you for the rest of his life. Besides you might really enjoy Half-Life.
   5. Make fun of Japan OFTEN
   6. Talk about how superior Tae Kwon Do is to every other martial art.
   7. LOVE HIS CAR. It doesn't matter if it is a Porsche, or a fixed up Honda, you must to at least pretend that there isn't a funny smell coming from the seats. Flattery really works.
   8. Learn to drink A LOT. Soju is the most powerful s*** that you can actually put into your system legally. Don't be a weak drinker and Jack Daniels. Trust me if you can drink at least 2 bottles you are fine. Plus it will impress his friends. DO NOT drink Soju unprepared, or you are going to be puking till next Thursday.
   9. Learn at least some of the language. Learning Kamsa-ham needa or Anyoung will make him very happy. Especially in restaurants, it will make him look good. Learning how to say saranghae will make him feel extra special too!
  10. KIMCHI, love it or leave him. Its a Korean staple..some Kimchi may burn your mouth off but you'll get used to it. You have to realize that Korean food is spicy as hell and you gotta learn to love the feeling of your tongue melting into your throat.
  11. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO YOU PUT YOUR CHOPSTICKS INTO THE RICE STICKING UP. Just don't ok? If you are really bold do it in front of his parents more than once.
  12. Go to Korea during New Years. 3 main reasons, first is FREE MONEY, second is free alcohol and third is FREE MONEY.
  13. Size doesn't matter, its how you use it. Just keep telling him that.
  14. Be a computer/math/science/ nerd. He'll love you forever.
  15. Try not to say Don't go. Roughly in Korean it means *A--hole*. AND really don't shout this at him if you are IN Korea.
  16. Pretend to love his singing voice. Especially his drunk karaoke ballands, because he is singing them to you. Pretend to be swept off your feet, he'll love that.

OMG!!!

Korean siguro ako sa past life ko though am not much of a drinker and not fond of kimchi.  I taught English to Koreans for 3 yrs.  I've learned enough of their culture and tried learning the language.  Mahirap yung language especially wala naman akong makausap na Korean that time.

I am a sucker din sa movies and dramas nila.

anybody here dating a korean or knows a friend who is dating a korean? what are they like ba? would u want to date a korean? feeling ko mahirap magdate ng korean. iba talaga sila. sometimes they're not like what you see in korean dramas  ;D kwento naman.. i just love hearing stories or experiences of dating koreans. i know there are lots of koreans in the philippines.

1. based on what i heard, they mostly date their own kind. so between a filipina and korean girl, they would most likely choose a korean girl especially when marrying kasi ayaw daw magmix ng blood or something.

2. boys don't allow their gfs to have a friend especially if guy daw itong friend mo.

marami pang iba.. nalimutan ko na.

im married to a korean, mahirap ang interracial relationship, hanggang ngayon nag-aadjust pa din kami sa isa't isa. sasagutin ko yong post based sa experienced ko at sa 2 cousins ko na meron korean relationship.

1. korea has a very prejudiced society, lagi sila may unfair judgment sa mga bagay na unusual para sa kanila katulad ng interracial marriage, conservative kc sila. usually yong mga anak mayaman or middle class na pamilya na kaya magparal dito sa pinas ng english sila madalas yong hinde nagseseryoso sa mga pinay kc andito lang sila to study english pero sa bansa pa din nila sila gusto mag-establish ng career at pamilya kya mas prefer pa din nila ang koreana, pero yong iba na me kabuhayan dito madalas naman sineseryoso nila yong pilipina na nakikilala nila at pinapakasalan. yan paliwanag sakin ni hubby.

2. bilin to sakin ni hubby, isa to sa mga pinagtatalunan namin ng madalas hehe, pero nag-give in na lang ako sa gusto nya kc mahal ko sya at kahit ano paliwanag ko dahil iba nga kultura nya, di nya talaga ako maiintindihan. sabi nya sakin, a man and a woman cannot be friends because they are born to be always attracted to each other. kya sabi nya wag ko daw i-close mga friends nya kc di daw sila filipino, ganun daw society nila bka daw ma-mis-interpret ng mga friends nya tapos magkaron ng biases sakin, ayaw daw nya ng ganun, i-close ko daw mga female friends ko at sabi nya he will have some distance din daw w/ my female friends. based sa experience ko sa mga naging male friends ko madalas nga na nahuhulog loob namin sa isa't isa kya para sakin me punto nga sya dito kahit minsan para sakin napaka-shallow na idea na to hays ::)

kwentong kuchero ata itong napulot ko pero the kwento i know about korean men has something to do with their virility, add stamina to that, not much to please their partners but how they can work it in bed. mas self absorbed ata sila when it comes to that.

based on my experience hinde totoo to hahaha my hubby is a virile man, sobra ang sexual energy nya nakakatagal sya para ma-explore namin kung ano makaka-satisfy lalo na sakin haha ;D

;D Curious din kasi ako sa kanila kasi i don't know any Korean. Nakakainis kasi sila eh.

So sa isip naming magka-barkada, snob sila.  ;D

They are violent daw at di naliligo everyday. Im not sure if it's true though.

I guess this is because malamig sa Korea and di siguro sila pinagpapawisan. ;D

most of the time we have korean guests in our house, based on my observation they are very clean and organized naman, yong isang bestfriend ng hubby ko  may pagka-ocd pa nga eh pati yong cloth na pamunas ng table inutusan yong helper namin na pakuluan daw hahaha nagtaas tuloy ng kilay yong helper namin kaso sabi ko sundin na lang nya, tapos kapag naglilinis ng bahay yong helper binabantayan nya kung naglilinis ng maige. naiinitan sila dito satin kaya madalas sila maligo sa isang araw they take a bath at least 2x a day pero madalas 4x aday lalo na pag sira ang aircon or summer.

i saw them everywhere when i was in the philippines. sa bohol, cebu, manila.. dumaguete haha

yeah, that's true.. couples usually count or celebrate by days.. 100th day, 200th, 300th and so forth.

koreans have holidays every month. it usually falls on the 14th day of each month.

   1. January 14th  is Diary Day - a mutual exchange of New Year's diaries.
   2. February 14th Valentine's Day - girls give boys chocolates.
   3. March 14th White Day - boys give girls candies.
   4. April 14th Black Day - time for the single koreans to eat black noodles called ''jajjangmyun'' ---------this one is really yummy! it has become my favorite ;)
   5. May 14th Rose Day - a mutual exchange.
   6. June 14th Yellow Day - the kids were pretty vauge on this (frankly) 'made up' day.    They didn't seem to know why it was called Yellow Day, but it had something to do with the exchange of teddy bears. Single people eat Yellow food! Specifically, curry.
   7. July 14th Kiss Day - the kids weren't vague about this at all. :-)

^^^ you are welcome sis :) madami pa ako ibubuking tungkol sa kanila pero hinay hinay lang baka kutusan ako ng hubby ko e haha

^^sis mejo violent nga sila pag galit, siguro sanay kc sila na ang mga korean women na submissive sa kanila  kahit na career women pa sila at kahit they have strong personalities pa sila pag dating sa asawa nila they always give way muna hanggang kumalma yong mga mister nila. siguro dahil sa kultura na din nila kc lagi me sumasakop sa kanila, nong ancient times yong mga chinese tribes tapos yong mga japanese na nag-last ng 35yrs ang occupation sa kanila tapos after WWII 2 yrs lang na me peace sa knaila nong tumulong americans to established their government from imperialism to republic tapos habang nagkakagulo sila pumunta ang soviet sa north part ng korea tapos biglang nagkaron ng civil war hays ang gulo ng bansa nila dati punong puno ng violence lalo na nong time ng japanese occupation.
