gymboree or kindermusik?

No available family class at gymboree rob magnolia and trinoma. So will just get the play & learn 6 for my son. Trinoma branch na lang since i want it on a weekday.

As for kindermusic, i was advised to get the family time so both of my kids can attend the same class. Still waiting for the next sched though.

you can eith drop by the branch to sign up/schedule a trial or, if you already know the class and sked you want to try, you can just call the branch and have it scheduled. tapos on the day of the class itself, just go there early to settle the trial fee. P500 sya before, ewan ko kung kasama yun sa price increase.

Excited for the event on May 1. I enrolled my daughter in Kindermusik Summer Class kahit di pa tapos yun sem ngayon... I saw a big difference on her attitude and personality talaga..

my baby K is a lifetime member of Gymboree but not yet enrolled in any class puro gymplay pa lang.. conflict with my sked palagi eh.. want to have trial class at Kindermusik pero walang maapit na place sa amin

^sis kami from cavite pero sa cubao nakaenroll baby ko. Driving like an hour and a half lang kasi every sunday yun class. this summer class lipat ko na sya sa fort but still thats an hour drive evry saturday naman pinili ko. after every class, grocery or eat kami ni baby.... bonding namin yun

one time, i was in rob magnolia with my 1 year old whp threw a tantrum and just couldnt bother to be entertained by anything, so i put her in gymboree for 1 hour. enjoy na enjoy ang bagets! kaya i will take her for more playtimes there ulit. i havent signed up for membership but i think masusulit namin to.

pero since may mago-open na kindermusik sa galleria where we go to church, pwede ko rin i-enroll ang baby ko dun. i tried kasi the music class for her when she was 6 months old sa musikgarten and she really enjoyed it. parang she got mesmerized when the teacher was singing

robinsosn magnolia kami nag gymboree pero im checking classe at sofitel since it is nearer. if i bring baby to work, ang lapi ko lang sa cuabo and the fort... sunday lang ang mostly free time ko... wil have kindermusik trial classes muna

I had baby go to music classes in Gymboree Eastwood during our stay in Manila for 3 weeks, 2x a week ang classes.Hindi nya gaano naapreciate ang songs dun pero she is participating naman.Sana lang meron din Gymboree dito sa West Australia para may continuity sana kaya lang wala.So hanap ako ng alternative-Kindermusik,once a week for 9 weeks.She's 2 years old and the only thing that catches and holds her attention is books and music as media for instruction as of now.I'll let you all know how it differs later

yung daughter ko sa gymboree, pero puro play lang siya before. pero dahil sa gymboree, hinde na kami nahirapan papasukin siya sa school dahil natuto siya makipag mingle. sa branch nila sa sofitel I think mas mura ang rate compare sa ibang branches.

My daughter already attended 2 sessions at Trinoma gymboree, at the 1st session hindi sya sumusunod, she always run sa slides and almost did not participate.maybe the teacher at that time kasi is soft spoken.but on the 2nd session just last April 27, very good na baby ko, sumusunod na sya sa climbing,pushing,sliding, popping..I was very proud of her at that time, the teacher at that time is different from the 1st session, she encourages my baby to do the activities correctly and helps her.she is the teacher who looks like chinese.she is very good.so I think its really depends on the teacher.

Hi sisses!! Is there any mommy here na nkaenroll ang baby in kindermusik w/ t. suzette at gingerbread house? I just wanna share na super laki ng improvement ng daughter ko who's 1 yr old. she attended na 8 sessions.. At first, she used to cry sa room the moment we arrive.. pero week after week nabawasan na until hindi na siya umiiyak. Then when the instruments/toys were packed away na,iiyak din siya nung una but after 2 sessions siya na mismo ang nagbabalik. and that really helped us a lot esp. kapag may kailngan na kming kuhanin sa kanya. and she remembers the songs and the steps and she does it herself when we try to sing it to her at home. super sulit. kahit kailngan gumising ng maaga dahil her class is 9am and we're coming from bulacan pa..

After 4 sessions now in Kindermusik, I can tell the differences between this and Gymboree.

-the songs in Kindermusik are nicer-these are based on "real"nursery rhymes/songs
-there is a story time , where the teacher gathers the toddlers around in a blanket
-my child enjoys the movement activities and action songs better in Kindermusik
-they have home materials online (books,videos,games,songs) so it enhances what the teacher taught in the class.

I'm not sure if the same din method nito sa Philippines but this is what I noticed here in Australia.HTH

^^i agree with your observations sis bluegintonic.

I had my son join Kindermusik from when he was 7months till he turned 1 ye also did a summer class/program but i decided to stop first since the format has been the same for the last 6 months.

Sharing my own feedback:
i really liked his teacher -teacher suzette who is accredited as a Maestro Class teacher. She is an expert talaga and has a connection with kids. She had someone sub for her 2 or 3x and you could really see the difference with regards to how the class was being run.

The songs are not so common and there are a lot of aspects being touched on like different cultures, different practices, there's also watert and sand play.

The pace is different, in some parts of the class its fast in some parts its a bit slower. So my son has the opportunity to learn how to adjust to different paces.

There are take home materials and online materials which form part of the tuition.


I let my son try gymboree Play & Learn class ladt week at Shang. To be very honest i was not impressed with the instruction/teacher, i kept comparing her to teacher suzette, haha!
The songs are also too common or too simple meaning alam ko na sya at its nonlinger new to me or to my baby kasi we do it na sa house. The only thing I liked about gumboree is the faciliies kasi my son can somehow be rough nd tumble and he can expend his excess energy there. But other than that wala na so i think ill just go for 2x a month na gym play to have my son practice the physical aspects like walking, climbing, etc but i will go back to kindermusik when my son reaches the next level in terms of age group.

For some of the mommies who are still thinking where to enroll their child. I would recommend Gymboree.
 Why?? Because based on my own experience, my daughter used to be so anti social and she was also very afraid to be with other people she doesn't even wants me to go further an inch from her.

So I decided to enroll her to gymboree. At first my hubby told me I would just waste money bec. Honestly it is not that cheap to enroll your child into gymboree. Nursery is 70k and pre-k is 90k+. But to my belief that she would be able to cope up with other kids who are independent. I GO FOR IT.

TO MY SURPRISE!  She started   being like a kid that enjoys the classroom and kids surrounding her.  Before we kept on having tag of war in front of the school and now she is very excited to go into class and see her teacher.
She started following instructions even pack away her own toys and pillows. she started writing her name and numbers that I wouldn't imagine she could learn that for jist a short period of time. Up to now she's enrolled to gymboree. From kindercamp now Pre-K.. I would totally suggest and stand for a proof that gymboree is the best when it comes to motivating your child. By the way I am referring to Gymboree Trinoma branch. Their teachers are very nice.
