gymboree or kindermusik?

@darna: actually at first, nafrustrate ako because my daughter didn't want to participate but you will see it in the long run. The routines, the music calms them down. Almost ganun din age ng daughter ko (younger pa) when she started. Suggestion ko lang sis, if you have time, mas maganda kung ikaw kasama ng baby mo sa activities. Aside from her learning routines, songs, etc, bonding time din yung session with the parents. As for the teachers, I can't attest kasi ibang branch kami although ang alam ko associate educators go through the same training before they can start handling a class on their own. Yun nga lang iba iba pa rin approach ng teachers kaya you will know when you get there unless may sis nga dito na makapag bigay ng testimony.

Pa-join po. Parang interested din ako itry to for my 21-month old son. Medyo confused lang ako, bukod sa membership fee, iba pa yung bayad sa classes diba? Meaning, kung gusto mong i-enroll si baby sa classes, kelangan rin magpa-member? Forgive me for my ignorance. If yes, parang ang sakit nga sa bulsa. Hehe.

I tried both. Mas enjoy "ako" sa summer kasi may snacks in school and take home activity. Dun ko nakita daughter ko kumain magisa at the age of 1.5yo i was so proud of her. Yung take home activities naman we do it together, parang arts and crafts at home (mahilig kasi sya sa arts) so after presenting it to class the next session, i display it at home and until now it reminds her of her classes in kindermusik. Ang sa akin lang, if it's your first time, might as well try the summer class first and see if your kid will enjoy kindermusik or see if the teacher is ok din sa akin naging effective kasi after summer class we continued for several sems pa. I enrolled her now to a regular school kasi nangungulit na mag school daw sya pero i still plan to enroll her to kmusic next summer kasi i saw how she missed it when we watched her videos when she was 1.

Edited to add: one more thing, mas maganda if you start them early with these schools (kindermusik, gymboree, little gym, etc) para when they start regular school na, you can leave them in their classrooms nang hindi humahabol or umiiyak (based from experience ha). Sa regular school kasi, parents can't stay in the classroom with the child and most first-timers get terrified when their parents leave them in a room full of strangers kahit mga bata pa ang kasama nila. I'm saying "most" ha. Not all kids ganon ang reaction.

Sis, gymboree has membership fee aside from the class fee. The membership fee is good for 1 year and has several hours free play and their sessions can be customized (if you want arts and gym class or music class only). We haven't tried gymboree (namahalan ako e) but I inquired several times na kasi convenient yung place nila (pwede mag shopping si mommy after class hehe) but decided to enroll my kiddo in a regular school instead. Sa kindermusik, yung fee nila that's for the class na inclusive na rin of the kit (usually includes a cd, a book & an instrument) No membership fee (as far as i know).

lifetime membership is P3600 and it's good until your child's 5th birthday

yup, gymboree lifetime membership is P3600, but it's not really lifetime because it's only until 60month old or 5yrs old.

i enrolled by baby for 4sessions lang muna, pero with lifetime membership na.  small lang kasi difference ng annual vs lifetime, saka ganda ng location like sa Alabang, kapag tired na si baby sa likot nya, we can proceed grocery na sa festival.

pansin ko lang, within the 1hour session, hindi naman full ang attention ni baby (syempre, coz she is only 11months old), kaya kailangan mag-re-enforce din talaga ang guardian after the session.  like gawin ulit yung ginawa during the session.

I think it would help din kung may video si gymboree for babies, meron ba?  para watch ni baby at home (tumitingin na kasi si baby sa tv lalo kapag KC's commercials, not sure why).   Good idea din na i-video ko yung class nya para pwedi rin nyang watch sa house para magreview, and souvenir narin.

it's a Gymboree lifetime since Gymboree only offers classes and Gymplay until 4 yrs 11 months.

Gymboree sells cds and dvds naman. usually nasa front desk or sa product wall.

Before my 7 month old son was enrolled in gymboree then we became busy so nagstop at 1 yr old, now that he's 2+, im planning to try kindermusik, [textspeak!] anong classes offer nila?

^ ang alam ko sis yung 4500 pang summer class and yung 9k plus pang isang sem. You can google their website kindermusik philippines so you can see their programs, schedules and fees.

gusto ko din itry to kase nabigyan ako ng ate ng coupons sa gymboree. sabi ng iba masyado pa daw maaga yung 7 months kaya naghihintay ako na tumanda ng konti si baby. baka pag nag 1 na si baby next month enroll ko na sya.

question lang, sobrang likot likot na ni baby na minsan suko talaga kame sa ka-hyper-an. di kaya mas lalo sya magiging hyper pag na-enrol namin sa gymboree? nakita ko kase yung ibang activities ng gymboree sa cd na free dati sa pampers.

^hmm bakit naman magiging hyper active? My kids both go to Gymboree & they are not hyperactive. In fact is an outlet for them pa nga to vent out the extra energy. If I see my 1yo getting likot sa house, I bring him to Gymboree to play. Pag-uwi sa bahay tamed again. Same goes for my daughter who went to gymbo for preschool. I'd always allow to play after school. Yes, she and her classmates run around the play floor (siyempre naglalaro), but when we get home she's no longer malikot. In fact diretso nap pa pag-uwi & mahimbing ang nap

Nakapag trial class kami sa Kindermusik with Teacher Suzzette, nagustuhan naman ng anak ko. Nakakapagod lang pero fun talaga. Lalo na at mahilig sa music tot ko. Decided na akong enroll siya this coming sem.
