My twins have done KinderMusik since they're months old. While my son was at Kindermusik since he's 3-5 years old. I must say, it is very effective and the take home items are all woooorth it (yes, with emphasis).  I have the songs downloaded from their website for free and we have books and musical instruments every month.

Nagpapakalma when I start playing the music when the twins start to hear it. I do this when I want them to settle down (ex. before their afternoon nap, or before we do tot school). Musik really makes a difference and esp for kids who love Music, they will love it.

I have tried Gymboree at Alabang with all my kids but, since the place is too big and even during class they see the play area.  They don't focus anymore on the lessons. But, with Kindermusik... the class is set wherein there are less distractions and the students excitedly anticipate the next activity.

What I also don't like about Gymboree, are the overly loud voice of the teachers. Ewan ko lang, It scares my kids and even other kids. I just don't think, that is appropriate. Aside from the loud shout of the teachers (2 pa sila), they also make the instruments really loud.  It doesn't seem to be Music anymore, but Noise na.  Everything with gymboree is OA, sorry for this.  I am just making my honest opinion ha. I know iba iba siguro ang instructors but all the demos, class and parties I've been with Gymboree has the same kind of style.  It's just pretty annoying.

Maybe, they do this kasi nga... some kids gets distracted with the play area than with the class.

I would still recommend, KinderMusik.  It is scientifically-proven to improve attention span in children. I have also seen this with my children.  They seem to have grown to listen more attentively with Music and talk early.

this comment of your was the one that caught my attention, I just remembered our experience at Gymboree Serendra when we had a trial class. During that time, they had a Trick or Treat event after our class. While we were having the class, yung mga tao sa reception adults and children na pumapasok were so noisy, and to add, the teachers there in the reception, sobrang iingay!!!!!!! sobrang OA pa magcomment like "how cute naman your costume!!" impressing the parents. as in super OA, super turned off kami ng husband ko sa branch na yan. and to add, dahil nga sobrang ingay, yung teacher na nagco-conduct ng class sa amin, nilalakasan din nya ang boses nya para marinig sya ng mga bata. the children weren't focused on what she was saying, as an adult naiirita ako sa sobrang ingay, what more yung mga bata, I don't know but I think the children especially my daughter was a bit agitated on the noise inside the room, she wasn't focus on the class.

also, napansin ko sa teacher na nagco-conduct ng class, she recited her lines like she doesn't care if the children understood what she said, para bang matapos or makaraos lang dun sa class nya, then that's it. ay grabe, sobrang sayang binayad ko for the trial class.

my daughter attended gymboree class in Alabang 2 yrs ago, pero hindi ganyan ka-worst ang situation. although hindi na rin kami umulit sa kanila.

Sis Younis, OA is the term nga. That was based lang din with my experience with Gymboree. Tsaka, true about they seem to be memorized everything, diba?

Even when they pack up the stuff, minsan they just don't seem to care basta ibalik ng bata.

Sa Kindermusik kasi yung 1st experience ko kaya na compare ko talaga... The instructor (Teacher Marah of Mindbuilder Branch) is such a sweet teacher kasi. Minsan, the younger kids won't reall want to return the stuff pero she has her way how to connect. Mas personal lang ang na feel ko with KM.

^exactly. actually it was in Gymboree where we enrolled first our daughter, that was when she was 10months old palang. we only had 4-6 sessions lang ata, then that's it. then after few months, I enrolled her to Kindermusik for 3 consecutive semesters, until she turned 3 yrs old. mas structured ang turo sa KM, yan ang napansin namin ng husband ko. personally, ang lamang lang ng gymboree sa Kindermusik is the amenities, venue and location (dahil usually situated sila sa malls), other than that wala na.

Correct. The instructors at KM seem to have more better teaching experience.

Hahahaha! Natawa ako dun sa hirit ng hubby mo ah. Parang kaima-imagine ang ingay - to the nth level ata. haha!

I think gymboree or kindermusik are both nice.. it depends on the parents kung anong skills ang gusto mo ma-develop sa baby mo.... I have a nephew who's taking gymboree class right now, in terms of physical development and motor skills, ok sya.. For my son naman, ok naman kasi physical and motor development nya kaya i'm planning to enroll him sa kindermusik this summer. Music can also help develop the cognitive skills of your baby.

Hello mg sis,
we have just tried free trial sa gymboree for my 11month old baby.  we were so happy, enjoyed it alot, naging exercise ko narin! hehe, i'm supposed to enroll sa yoga class, pero eto nalang, exercise narin!)

we have not tried kindermusik yet.  pero choosing between the two, si baby girl kasi naging super likot na recently.  swear ng mother ko, mas malikot sya kaysa sa amin na 3daughters nya.  buong hapon, nag-iikot gapang sya sa house.  ayaw ng walker, ayaw narin magpa-karga, ayaw din sa playard.  ang mga toys madaling pagsawaan, and ang alam nya ay maglabas/ sabog ng toys from the box, pero hindi marunong magbalik.  kahit yung toy na may mga rings/ hoops, hindi nya malaro na i-shoot sa stick/ stand.  pupukpok at hagis nya yung mga rings.

kaya, i'm thinking na wag na masyadong motor skills or movements for her.  so, baka better nga for her ay yung kindermusik???  kaya lang, mas ok ang Saturday sched ng gymboree sa westgate alabang, kaysa sa kindermusik ayala alabang...

any advice mga sis, comparing the two, which is recommended for my baby? although nag backread narin ako, hindi ko clearly pa makuha difference ng dalawa.  sayang naman kasi kung mag-avail na ako ng gymboree lifetime membership (until child is 60months old)... mas sulit kasi yung lifetime kaysa sa 1year membership lang.

yung kindermusik may membership din ba?

yung sa Gymboree ba, like kapag level3-play and learn.  kung mag enroll ng 4classes, does it mean paulit-ulit lang yung program na ginagawa sa kada class???  nakapag trial na kami, then merong bubbles then tent and yung tinutulak na cylindrical pillow or huge bolster pillow.  although alam ko [textspeak!] songs pweding nauulit-ulit, pati rin ba yung bubbles, tent, pushing the bolster pillow???

^the air log, parachute time and bubbles are staple of play and learn class. Re lessons, they have lessons good for 12 weeks (each level has different lessons). After 12 weeks they repeat the lessons

Sis Cherry, try mo both for a trial then check mo which one works for your child.

Ako lang, Dahil super kulit ng mga anak ko... gusto ko lang madevelop na na ca-calm sila with music. When they attended Kindermusik, they learned to calm down thru music (rhythm, beat) tapos pangpatulog talaga yung songs dun.

Pero, if wala naman masyadong play ang child mo even at home... Yung iba kasi nasa crib lang pag sa house... baka Gymboree works naman.

Ang maganda with this sessions is yung tuloy tuloy, not the usual 1 semester lang. You'll see the diff kasi pag at least 1 year sila naka enrol.

Sa assessment ni Dra. Tippy sa toddler ko, mas gusto niya ang Kindermusik kesa Gymboree. Enroll ko toddler ko sa Kindermusik next semester sakto after her toddler class with Schola Progressio, para hindi din mabakante yung days na nasa bahay lang siya. Meron bang Mommies dito naka enroll ang anak sa Kindermusik Gingerbread School? Thanks

^sis, my daughter went to kindermusik for summer class and several sems too. She started at the age of 1.5yrs. Sa summer class (around 4k), feeling ko sulit na. Although once a week lang ang sessions, hindi lugi ang materials na ibibigay for your child. May book na, musical instrument and original CD. Sa summer class din kasi they have snacks and take home projects din. I don't know if it's the same with other branches or kung ganun pa rin until now pero I enjoyed summer more than the regular sem (daughter ko naman kasi enjoy na nakakapag laro sya sa playroom and nakakakita ng classmates and happy na sya sa story telling time). We stopped kasi nahihirapan na ako pumunta sa class pag wala kaming sasakyan (sa Cubao kasi), pag may sasakyan naman hirap naman mag-park. Buti sana kung kasama si hubby palagi para akyat na kami kagad sa class kaso most of the time ako lang e. Parking is an important factor for me.

sis thanks for feedback ha..hmm next week na kasi magsstart yun 2nd batch in willow tree branch in quezon city which is near samin .. ganun din 4,500 for 6 sessions once a week ..may take home cd, books, intrument ata but di k lang na ask yun snacks.
my baby is only 1.7 year old ..hope kahit ganun pa lang age nya worth it pa din, to enroll sa 'our time class na daw kami for his age eh...
anyone had experience in kindermusik willow tree branch with teacher frances? sya kasi ang magcoconduct ng class hndi si teacher irene na pinaka head ata dun..pagka yun associate educator yun magcoconduct ok lang kaya yun? mas maganda pag yun director mismo nun branch no??

sulit for us ang kindermusik since nakita talaga namin improvement sa daughter ko. Ok na din ang tuition fee since may materials na kasama (activity book, storybooks, instrument, 2 cds) and she's really using them. we don't bring car since mahirap parking sa cubao and mejo malapit na din samin
