Window Treatments: Curtains, Blinds, Shades, Etc

This can be use in homes as well, though we often have this conventional notion of having shades in offices.. The Type of Transparency will be dictated by the Fabric being used as a Shade.. If their product does not have an Opaque Fabric then you cannot achieve a full Black Out in your room. If they have opaque fabrics then that would be fine.

Our main problem really is the heat. Ayoko naman na madilim talaga. Basta yung makatulong lang magminimize sa init sa kwarto.

Also, we need the type of window treatment na makakapagbigay din ng privacy. Yung hindi kitang-kita ang room from the outside.

Forgot to mention na walang glass ang windows namin, just screen and grills and then the capiz windows.

Might try the roman shades.

for me sis i prefer roman blinds. any home style will definitely jive with this. yung roller blinds kasi parang pang-office yung dating eh....

they have window treatment that blocks 95% heat and dust free pa. its effective kasi gnyan din naging problem ko before. inquire ka [textspeak!] sa knila, may ipapadala silang staff para magsukat ng bintana nyo may dala na rin silang sample ng fabric to choose from.

i know mas cheaper sa kanila vs sa ibang supplier kasi nkapag-inquire na rin ako sa iba

Black-out curtains are best.   Cheapest alternative, and easiest to install, regardless of what windows and grillwork/screen you have. 

Put these nearest the windows.    On top of that,  you can install glass curtains to simplify matters.   These can be made up as regular curtains..  pleated, with grommets.. whatever you fancy.  Or, if the window is not too big... you can have these made into roman shades.  Not too big coz well, these curtains are heavy.

All big curtain stores have these.

In Spain, where the sun is super super bright during summer...  this is what everyone has on their windows.  Very effective. 

If you want to see how these look... well, the hotels here usually have these too.  I am sure EDSA Shang has these on their windows, very sure.. saw these just the other day.

Sis, matanong ko lang po. How high is the ceiling of your son's room and where is the room located (1st, 2nd floor, etc). Does the room's ceiling have insulation?

Kasi minsan nasa structure din ng house eh. Like my parents' house. Kahit na hindi natatapatan lagi ng araw yung windows, super init parin.

Nagpagawa ako ng curtains kanina. Gusto ko sana yung nabibili sa sm kasi may nakasale sa sm makati nung nagcheck ako kaso bitin ang height @ 96inches. Almost 120 inches yung lalagyan so la choice kundi magpagawa. Napamahal pa ako pero oks na rin sana magka-extra para makapagpagawa pa kasi walang kapalit next week ko na lang iayos ang kapalit.

basang trapo lang ang pagkakaalam ko, if block out naman ang roller blinds mo, wag mong iclean yung likod na block out kasi may tendency na matuklap/ magchip yung block out

Sa Makati or within MetroManila lang, meron ba kayong alam na stores na nagbebenta ng ready made curtains and rods?  Gusto ko meron lining sa likod.  Not too expensive but durable and quality is good. Looking for modern designs.  Salamt in advance to all

Curtains are really expensive but can really make a room look put together. If its made to order it costs 10k up per window. Halos same lang lalaabas price ng roman shades and curtains. Curtains expensive the fabric since its gonna use a lot but if roman shades, not a lot of textile but the mechanism is expensive.
Additional cost for valance pa. haayz.
